I’m a remote producer and associate director at FOX Sports.

What challenge were you trying to address with Loaded Pixel?

We hired Loaded Pixel to create graphic animations to display information on screens as opposed to a static, basic 2D element.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Loaded Pixel creates 20-second graphics and various 3D elements. They also assist with editing commercial bumps. Their work is mainly for remote NFL games. Sometimes we will show them examples and explain what we’re looking for. Occasionally, I write down certain thoughts and show them things I’ve seen on YouTube or other mediums that sparked my mind. If we think something will be useful, we hand it over to them.

What is the team composition?

I’ve only interacted with Bobby (President & CEO, Loaded Pixel).

How did you come to work with Loaded Pixel?

We were out in northeast Philadelphia. Bobby was working a football game, doing replay work for another media company as a freelancer. He saw what we were trying to do and introduced the company to us. After we met and saw some examples, we started using Loaded Pixel for editing.

How much have you invested with them?

I believe we’ve spent between $50,000–$199,999.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement with Loaded Pixel started in September 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Within a quick timeframe, Loaded Pixel delivers quality animations and graphics to our standards. All the work we’ve done with them has been well-received. Our production stands out from others because of their unique creativity. We’ve been happy for the last two years and look forward to working with them during preseason football this August.

How did Loaded Pixel perform from a project management standpoint?

A majority of our communication takes place through email and phone calls. When we do interact face-to-face, we discuss some of our thoughts before they begin executing them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate their professionalism and willingness to take on any task. They’re open to anything, never saying no. No matter how hard or unique the project is, or whatever the deadline is, Loaded Pixel delivers. We have a lot of very tight deadlines, some being only a few hours. The way their time management is set up allows them to get their work done quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they can continue doing what they’re doing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give them a chance. You won’t be disappointed.

Loaded Pixel assists with creating video and graphics, making them look presentable for on-air production.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have a variety of tape and graphic elements that we need implementing into a broadcast or that need to be built on site. Sometimes our team provides Loaded Pixel with elements before they arrive on site, and they put them together using a couple ideas we gave them. Generally, we film content before they add graphics and perform other post-production services. They sometimes shoot their own footage. Loaded Pixel is responsible for piecing everything together before we incorporate the package into a broadcast.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with one point of contact throughout the engagement. They’ve become part of our crew.

How did you come to work with Loaded Pixel?

Someone in our crew recommended them to us, and we decided to try them out.

How much have you invested with them?

The team member we work with receives an hourly and weekly rate. Overall, we’ve invested $50,000–$100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement with Loaded Pixel started in August 2016.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In television production, whether it’s a game or feature story, it all depends on how it looks. Our high-speed cameras and high-tech graphics mixed with their creative ideas have made this engagement a home run. Working with a professional sports league on a high-profile network, we have a big budget and don’t have to settle for the second rate. Loaded Pixel is first rate. The graphics and pieces we’ve aired during our games are attributed to their creativity. We’re thrilled.

How did Loaded Pixel perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a great working relationship with Loaded Pixel. After years of working together, they know what we like and don’t like. Most of our interaction is in-person, but there are some phone calls during the week. There’s been no reason to work with anyone besides our point of contact within their company. They’re terrific.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Loaded Pixel isn’t afraid to throw out ideas. I appreciate their creativity and cooperative approach. They’re understanding and couldn’t be easier to get along with.
