Being Indian | Kia Seltos - Making of Badass Content

Kia Motors gave us a challenge to come up with a Badass video on Kia Seltos, we worked with the Being Indian team to create something that was genre changing and it also features Beyounick.

Kaira TVC

When Kaira came to us for an ad, we were determined to show as much of their amazing clothing line as possible. We decided to use over 20,000 pieces of their clothing to an entire world out of their clothing and tell a fun story, with a catchy jingle!


A month of planning, 20+ crew members in a studio for two days, and a whole lot of editing (But no special effects!) came together in this video.


Plus we also got to interact with Saina Nehwal :)

Maharashtra Equestrian Group 2018 - Round 3

The biggest equestrian show in Maharashtra deserved a power-packed exciting after-movie.

 

Shot over four days, it features all the adrenaline of the athletes and the beasts and is also an interview by the Maharaja of Kolhapur himself.

 

The film has all of the essence of the sport; power, speed, and the exhilaration of competition are felt in every shot and in every frame.

 

This was a shoot of some big burly SUV's in the extreme monsoons of Lonavala. Gruelling challenges for the car meant more fun for our team.

This still stands as, the highest viewed piece on the Carwale Youtube channel.

BMC Software - Road Safety video

Safety videos can be notoriously boring. And boring is NOT something we do.

 

For BMC Sfotware, we decided that the best person to give road safety advice is the beloved Yama. And to make it fun, we added some snazzy animation in bright poppy colours - all grooving to funky music to make it a video you'd want to watch again. And again.

I’m the manager of talent acquisition for a storage-based enterprise firm.

What challenge were you trying to address with LMB Productions?

We needed a company to produce college recruitment videos.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

LMB Productions handles our video production efforts through a great process. First, they take the time to understand our concepts. Then, they give a lot of innovative ideas in terms of how we capture a video and deliver the message we want to a bigger audience. They handle the scripts and create them according to our intended audience. Their team produces the videos’ content and gives us the final piece to review with the leadership team. They also handle all post-production.

During the first year, we had our own script. However, from the second year onward, LMB Productions knew our taste, came up with the concept, and developed the script themselves. Their team provided consultation on the type of partners we needed to look at. For example, having a blend of gender diversity — male and female from the top leader to management and the university audience. LMB Productions made it happen.

We partner with them every year with either a new concept or to create the concept with the existing video.

What is the team composition?

There’s a program manager, video designer, videographers, and the leadership team. In total, there are 10–15 people.

How did you come to work with LMB Productions?

We were recommended to them by someone who had worked with them in the past.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2016, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They were on target with the deliverables. The videos impact incoming engineering students. Overall, the videos make a positive impact and that is why we continue to partner with LMB Productions.

The videos are well-received internally from a leadership standpoint. They are shown to the general public with an audience of 200–250 students sitting in an auditorium. When the video starts and ends, the kind of culture we strive to build is blended pretty well in it. We talk about work, fun, character progression, and the cutting-edge technologies that we introduce globally and specific to the India region.

How did LMB Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

They deliver on time. We give them a script, and they build on it to optimize it in a very nice way that’ll reach the heart of the students. Their team does an excellent job in the design, optimization, development, and execution phases.

There’s a good workflow. Initially, we brainstorm what we need to do in the upcoming year or two years. Then, we collectively come with some of the concepts. Our teams collaborate to brainstorm the details and narrow down concepts to option A and option B. Then, we look at some of the pros and cons to narrow it down to a spec. Then we start working on the execution.

What did you find most impressive about them?

LMB Productions produces extremely professional work. The key elements with them are the concept and easiness of working with the key stakeholders. It's clear that we’re collectively working together for a common objective.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I’m happy with their deliverables so far.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend working with them. They understand the customer’s needs and what the common objective is that they want to deliver. They’re professional, flexible, and customer-centric.

HCL Technologies is a large, multinational enterprise with approximately $9 billion in revenue. We focus on three areas primarily: engineering and R&D services, IT services, and some level of BPO services. 

I’m part of the organization’s IT business unit, responsible for leading the DACH region, which is Germany (D), Austria (A), and Switzerland (CH). I lead the effort from a pre-sales and solutions perspective.

We typically respond to large-scale opportunities that bring in multimillion-dollar revenue. We design and create custom technology solutions that help our clients lead business objectives (which could be optimizations or increasing productivity).

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with LMB Productions?

We have to do a lot of presentations and demonstrations of our tools, technologies, and processes. Typically, these are pretty boring presentations, and this is where LMB Productions has helped us a lot. They create custom videos that describe our entire solution, approach, and what types of differentiators we’re bringing into the deal.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

LMB Productions has helped us create videos that articulate and show the story of our solutions, rather than boring presentations. These are typically 3-4-minute animated clips. 

The content is basically around what our solutions are about (e.g. how we design the workplace of a large organization or help them improve employee productivity). The videos are very brief articulations of technologies, tools, people, and processes gathered into beautiful storylines.

Whenever we identify a critical opportunity that warrants a video, we engage LMB Productions. My solutions team or I will come up with the story we want to show. It can be as simple as a day in the life of a user or employee.

We give LMB Productions a broad storyline, and they determine how to make it look good on the screen and what the script should look like. We have a couple of exchanges, and then they do their own research in terms of what the alignment should look like between organizations.

There are some common points that we always try to capitalize on. It’s essentially a sales cycle, and they’ve helped us a lot with those storylines.

What is the team composition?

I’ve mainly worked with 3–4 people from their team, two of which have been in constant touch with me. They carry the knowledge from one project to another, so we don’t have to start anew every time.

How did you come to work with LMB Productions?

We wanted to create a typical “day in the life” video for a US client, and we were looking out for vendors. 

We were referred to LMB Productions by someone in our organization who’d used them, as well as by our internal marketing team. They referred 2–3 vendors to us, we got in touch with each one, and ultimately chose LMB Productions.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost so far has been around $15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with LMB Productions in October or November of 2016, and the collaboration’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

First and foremost, LMB Productions has helped us create a clear differentiator with our presentations. Secondly, any collateral they’ve made has made it easy to convey our message in a very simple way. 

Typically, in any IT deal, there are a lot of complexities, and it can get really hard to explain everything. The videos articulate the complexities in a brilliant format (which we can’t achieve through a presentation), so the videos are a clear winner for us. I’m not an expert, but I can say that it’s pretty high-end animation. 

The conceptualization of the videos is great, and there’s a lot of work being offloaded from me and my team. That’s a huge value for us.

How did LMB Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

There are areas for improvement, but the fault also lies with us sometimes in terms of shorter cycles and response times. Overall, I’d rate their project management as a 7.5/10.

From a team perspective, LMB Productions is highly motivated and dedicated. They’re very flexible, and they accommodate most of our requests. For example, we’ve sent submissions on Mondays that required them to stretch over the weekend, beyond their working time. Also, they do a brilliant job in terms of research. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their flexibility and motivation to do the best job possible are impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They need to focus on building their resources and capabilities. Requests should be entertained more quickly and turnarounds could be faster. There’s a massive dependence on their side on a couple of critical resources, which creates a risk.
