What were your goals for this project?
We were looking for someone we could basically add to the team to bring into client marketing engagements. The true key was finding someone I felt comfortable bringing into sales calls, who I could trust to really carry the conversation, understand the needs of the end client, ask the right questions, and then come up with the right strategy.
From there, be able to run end-to-end campaigns to bring the end client to their desired outcome.

It began with posting to Upwork, then interviewing some people who responded, then went into some test projects, and Adam killed it every step of the way, and quickly transformed into being more or less a part of the company on the marketing team.

What started as hiring Llama Lead Gen to put together and implement a social media ad campaign strategy, morphed into them becoming our all around marketing ninjas/CMO.
To date, they've done everything from building out our paid ad campaigns, organic social campaigns, creating landing pages, scheduling out organic social media posts, quickly whipping up campaigns to drive new opportunities with our database, joining potential client calls, driving digital marketing efforts for my clients, developing extensive digital marketing strategies, and creating email drip/nurture campaigns as well as chatbots and marketing automations.
What was the team composition?
Adam is the founder and is involved in all aspects from project management, to consultation and strategy, all the way down to execution and implementation. We’ve also worked with their Digital Marketing Managers (3 of them), Performance Marketing Analyst, Copywriters (3 of them), and Email Marketing and Automations Specialist.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We’ve seen a huge increase in lead volume and an increased quality in our leads. We’ve also seen a great boost in brand awareness, traffic, and online presence due to these marketing efforts. Beyond what Adam and his team has done for my company, they’ve been a HUGE help in winning me new business and delivering great results on each marketing project for my clients.

I worked with three members of LLG's team, all that facilitated different aspects of my project. The LLG team was awesome, they listened to me as I described my vision, provided me numerous options at the onset to work with and ulitately helped me design everything just how I wanted it. Even after the project was done, I went back to Adam and his team to revise some design aspects of the work they did, and they quickly turned around new deliverables to me that captured my evolving vision for my firm.

Once we were off and had a vision, Adam and his team knocked it out of the park and provided me with deliverables I was, and still am, very pleased with. This project ended and was completed quickly, efficiently, and Adam and his team made me feel like my somewhat small project was important to them and delivered high quality deliverables that exceeded my expectations.

This project involved creating a Startup Search marketing plan with the goal of increasing brand awareness, followers on social media, and quantity of subscribers to the newsletter. Each month was dedicated to specific tasks such as tagging/tracking setup, media strategy planning, SEO audit, A/B testing, and influencer marketing.
The MarTech Stack included communication on Slack, design on Figma, organic media on Buffer/Sprout, CMS/Website Builder on Notion, Tag Manager/Analytics on Amplitude, GTM, and GA, and CRM/ESP on Hubspot/Mailchimp/Braze/SendGrid/CleverReach. LLG ran our ads on multiple platforms including: Google Ads, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and more.
Our target audience consisted of college juniors/seniors, recent graduates, and entry/mid-level individuals who were looking for internships and jobs at startups.
The project also included the LLG team creating content that spoke to each of the functional roles, such as product management, venture capitalists, chief of staff, engineering, project management, data scientists, designers, marketing, and BD/sales.

Although the COVID-19 Vaccine Education campaign was still fairly new when Llama Lead Gen team was onboarded earlier in 2021, I think it’s fair to say that we have had great success with this campaign. To date, the campaign has exceeded expectations. To date, the campaign has generated $3.68M in spend, 497.7M impressions, 148.7M users reached, and 732.4K sessions to the website.

The workflow between the Ad Council and Llama Lead Gen teams is seamless. We regularly communicate through e-mail and Slack; it’s not unusual for the communication between teams to occur multiple times a day. We also have weekly status check-ins and reporting overviews to discuss the latest updates and progress on the campaigns that they oversee.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I’m most impressed by how proactive the Llama Lead Gen team is with managing our campaigns. Deliverables are always on time (with little to no edits needed); recommendations on how to improve our campaigns are expected. It’s truly a breath of fresh air to have partners who are always on top of everything. Digital marketing program across primarily LinkedIn targeting specific verticals. This also involved assessing our current marketing assets including website, testimonials, case studies etc. and determining how best to package and use them across multiple programs.
What was the team composition?
Adam's team comprised of specialists who were brought in as needed. Some of the areas covered were editing and publishing case studies, eBooks and other material, setting up our Marketing Automation/CRM system (Hubspot), sequence generation etc. The composition changed as the project progressed.
However, we always had a single point of contact no matter who was handling the specific deliverable from Llama Lead Gen's team or ours. In our case that POC was always Adam.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Once the campaign launched, we are starting to see a steady growth in leads flowing through. Additionally, Adam has been discussing with us quite a bit about what can be done next including several ideas that we had not considered in the past.

No complaints here. As mentioned in an earlier response, we always had a single point of contact (in our case, Adam) who was always available to respond and manage all aspects of the program.

What challenge were you trying to address with Llama Lead Gen?
Llama Lead Gen helps us market ourselves to generate money so that we can help more banks and lenders with fraud. We want to bring our solution to more banks and lenders in order to create awareness of the various solutions that are available to them to combat fraud.

What was the scope of their involvement?
I reached out to help us with sponsored LinkedIn posts. We were hosting a webinar and wanted to generate more attendance via paid social ads. I connected with Adam (Founder & CEO) and he walked me through all the steps to get that campaign up and running. By the time that one was going, we had a white paper ready for a second one. He helped with everything from setting up an initial campaign to running competing ads and testing and learning from that.
He also assisted with creative content that would be presented in the ad. Working on the copywriting of the ad, he helped with wording so it would generate the most clicks. He helped me understand the analytics of the campaign in a very nuts and bolts way.
Currently, he’s in the middle of a digital audit of the digital marketing capabilities of our competitors. The plan is to take a look at what they’re doing, and figure out how to launch a paid Google Ad campaign to address that. We’ve also been talking about email marketing campaigns too.
