Tchibo Coffee Service is an international company with five corporate branches in Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, and Great Britain. Tchibo Coffee Service has operated in Poland since 1994. Tchibo Coffee Service is one of the leading coffee foodservice providers in Europe.

What is your role at the company?

I am the customer relationship and business development manager.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What business challenge were you trying to address with Lizard Media?

The main objective was to equip our sales representatives in Poland with a mobile tool for managing presentations, creating tailor made offers, and gathering business data. 

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their involvement in detail.

They created a mobile tool for managing slick presentations, updating them in real time, so that the latest version was instantly available to all our representatives in the field. They also created a users' conditional access tool for generating offers in the proper format and automatic updates, as well as gathering and processing advanced sales statistics offline. The application was based on Android and was utilized on tablets.

How did you come to work with Lizard Media?

Lizard is the only company in Poland that offered the needed functionality for mobile devices, and we hired them because of their presentation.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

It was between $10,000 and $50,000.

What was the timeline of the project?

It ran from May 2014 to February 2015.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

I'm reluctant to share any metrics because the product is, even after a year, still a cutting-edge solution because it gives us strategic leads before our competitors. The results are very positive, and we have developed this tool further.

We have had a very positive experience working with Lizard Media. Their team fit in very well with our team. Our team enjoyed working with them closely.

I believe it created a very productive environment for the creative design of the solution. The communication was at an excellent level as well.

In hindsight, are there areas in which they could improve or things you might do differently?

We had one period where we were waiting for a solution to a problem that came out in the tool, and we were getting impatient. However, this is probably an entrepreneur's learning curve issue that might come up with the development of an innovative solution at any time. We don't have any remedy to that, and we would do the everything the same next time.
