BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of HubCare, a small agency specializing in business consultancy, app development, training, and internal change management. Our customers are large pharmaceutical companies.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Linnify?
We hired them to develop a web-based app.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Linnify is designing the UI/UX and developing our proprietary custom web app. First, we had a kick-off meeting and provided them with specifications and a defined process. From there, Linnify started working on the app. The team has developed our app from scratch using Node.js and JavaScript for the interface. Linnify is also using templates.
We own the app and sell subscriptions to large pharmaceutical companies. We've been piloting the project while Linnify has been developing it. Recently, we've given Linnify additional projects, mostly smaller ones.
What is the team composition?
We work with six teammates from Linnify: Razvan (Software Engineer), who acts as our project manager, three front- and backend developers, a QA specialist, and a UI/UX designer. I've only interfaced with Razvan and the UI/UX designer.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent between €150,000–€250,000 (approximately $163,000–$272,000 USD).
How did you come to work with Linnify?
I knew about them through a recommendation, and one of their competitors was also on my radar. I made a brief for both companies, including development specifications, and Linnify answered very quickly and asked very good questions about the requirements. Their competitor was less serious in asking the right questions and didn't show as much interest as Linnify.
Linnify's pricing was also fair and very similar to their competitor's. Even though the competitor initially offered me a discount to convince us to choose them, pricing wasn't our most important criterion. Meanwhile, Linnify's CEO was involved in the pitch they made us, which showed us they were serious about the project. Therefore, we chose Linnify.
What is the status of this engagement?
I began the process of finding a service provider in October 2023, created the brief in November 2023, and started working with Linnify in December 2023. The project is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The most important outcome of the project is that it has enabled us to pilot the app with an end client and gather their feedback. We've run this pilot with the developed version, not a prototype. The end client has been happy with the app. The most important thing for me is that our end clients will buy our subscriptions next year, and I'm pleased with the pilot program's results and the end client's feedback.
Linnify's results have been excellent. They're a young team who challenge me, ask the right questions, and are very professional. I'm a pharmacist, so I don't have deep technical knowledge. I appreciate that Linnify's team has been very polite and challenging, telling me when choices aren't suitable for the project. I don't know how to carry out a project like this, so I expect Linnify to know the answers and be a specialist, and they are. To me, this is added value.
Additionally, the Linnify team has been reactive when it's needed, and when they promise something, they deliver it.
How did Linnify perform from a project management standpoint?
Linnify can meet deadlines and stay within the budget. At the start of the project, they were very professional in handling project management and organized a weekly call and quick Jira follow-up. This continued until I changed the project's priorities from one day to another.
With the end client involved, our priorities shifted, which caused issues with project management. I appreciate that Linnify has been very transparent about the effect of these changes. Instead of telling me they couldn't complete the new requirements, Linnify has adapted to these changes and has come back to the plan. Our project manager also has a technical background and is very hands-on regarding the process.
As for tools, they work on Google Sheets and Google Meet. I prefer phone calls and WhatsApp since they're more immediate, and Linnify has adapted to my preference. Since they're a small, less rigid company, they've also adapted to my less formal communication style.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
Razvan is very dedicated. Since we've piloted the app at the same time as Linnify has been developing it, we've had emergencies, and Razvan hasn't slept some nights to help us address those emergencies. He doesn't ask his team to work after hours, so he does it himself when needed. I'm also impressed with the UI/UX designer.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Linnify is great across the board: their pricing, deliverables, seriousness, and involvement are all good. The competitor company we briefed was also very polite, but we could smell they wouldn't be very involved. We've also developed another app with a different service provider, and I've found Linnify to be more professional than them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don't have any negative feedback. Although Linnify lacks knowledge of the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, such as market structure, I don't fault them for that. Linnify's priority is the code and UX, which should be uniform across whatever market they're in. Therefore, I don't find this gap an issue because I have the needed business knowledge. Overall, I'm very happy with them—I would give them more projects if we had them.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
If anyone asked me for a reference, I would recommend Linnify. I would use them for a project where the app was less complex than mine. We had very clear specifications, so we didn't need a discovery phase, but I know Linnify knows how to conduct one, create screens, and build a prototype.
I would also encourage you not to judge the Linnify team based on their youth; most teammates are 25–30 years old. Linnify is a very serious company. Additionally, I recommend being very direct and to the point with them.

The goal of the project was to create an online university guidance platform where high-school students can find events, quizzes, and career assessment tests, dedicated to helping them find what domain of study fits them best. They can also schedule meetings with college students to interact directly with them and find all the insights they are curious about. I was definitely impressed by the fact that Linnify gave me the necessary resources to work on the validation of my startup, starting from exploration, market research, unique value proposition and finally, ideation. The first phase took place from October 18th until November 10th, 2022, and it involved the core development of the app. The second phase included a quiz that is aimed to test the user’s first aid knowledge. When we began this project we said that if the app contributes to saving someone’s life (either through the first-aid information that is easy to find and understand or through the defibrillators’ map) we will consider that our mission with this app is completed.
There has been a lot of local media attention around the app launch, and people were very pleased with how it looks and how easy it is to use.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
What I found most impressive about them, and something that I knew from before (as we’ve also worked together at the Academia de Prim Ajutor platform) was the way they constantly pushed the boundaries of our collaborative effort’s potential. They understood perfectly our mission and vision and delivered the product exactly as we wanted it to be with: synthesized information, simple design, and a clear flow.
The Linnify team also delivered the product extremely fast and has been very involved in the product even after our collaboration ended. They were true experts in their work, and that is easily seen within each meeting.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Linnify could have done differently?
Honestly, I can’t think of anything. Whenever they lacked a bit of understanding, they compensated with their drive to think outside the box and go out of their way to solve any issues.

We hired Linnify to help us build the mobile application (iOS and Android). They also took us through all of the UX processes as well as built Figma screens, putting out the concept and idea into development.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We went through about 30 companies and ended up shortlisting a couple of service providers after taking into consideration 4 main criteria (eg. close to the UK, do not outsource any of their work at all, etc.). Linnify ended up on this shortlist, and after also receiving a strong recommendation from our Head of Machine Learning we arranged a meeting with one of their CEOs, Catalin. Their quotations were competitive, we felt that Linnify was the best choice for us.

The project was split into 2 phases and our collaboration focused on the first 2 project milestones. The first milestone was focused on the booking process that helps pharmacists save time. The second milestone was focused on making stock adjustments. The project will be ongoing.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
IThe team was composed of 7 members: 1 Product Success Manager, 1 Project Manager, 1 Tech Lead, 1 UX/UI designer, 2 Mobile Developers, and 1 QA.
Alexandru acted as our Product Success Manager and guided us through the discovery process and worked together with us on detailing the set of functionalities to be developed.
Gabriel, the Project Manager - planning, organizing, and directing the completion of the project while ensuring that we were on time, on budget, and within scope.
Razvan, the Tech Lead, made the key decisions about technical matters and ensured that everything runs smoothly from the tech perspective.
Adrian, the UX/UI designer, was responsible for the wireframes, and the user journeys.

They are very diligent and true experts at what they’re doing. The meeting notes were taken very diligently, and the timeframes were always respected. No one was ever late to a meeting. It was a really, really good experience. What also helped us was walking through some steps of Linnify’s product validation process (qualitative market research, user journey map, ideation on key features, setting success metrics, discovery user interviews strategy, and their analysis).

To be honest, I can’t think of anything here.

My name is Cristina Boels and I am the Marketing Supervisor at Wens Travel, a full-service travel agency, one of the few in Romania, who understand the role of being a concierge, adviser, and guide in customizing vacations, but also business trips.

In the beginning, we hired Linnify to help us develop an e-learning platform. This platform is dedicated to teaching people from special social groups that do not have access so easily to information about the tourism industry and encouraging them to pursue a career in this domain. This engagement took 2 months. We were very pleased about the high quality of the materials that Linnify delivered and how fast they made it all happen. We decided to start yet another engagement with them shortly after that.
This time for developing an onboarding tourism platform that would benefit both Wens’ customers and its employees. The platform facilitates the customers getting a touristic package fully personalized to their needs while also easing the workload for our employees. The idea of this onboarding booking platform came from the validation workshops that Linnify proposed to us which really helped us understand better what our customers and other potential users actually need, and how exactly we can alleviate their pains.

One of our acquaintances recommended Linnify to us, having worked on a traveling web platform with them before. She was very pleased with the way they worked, their professionalism, and all the help they provided, which made us confident in choosing them for our own products.

Key deliverables, in this case, included: User flows, UX/UI screens, UI interactive prototype, and the eLearning platform For the onboarding tourism platform, things were more complex. We went through Linnify’s validation process during June and July 2022. Through these workshops, we successfully determined the: problem statement, market insights, discovery interviews insights, unique value proposition, and high-level features for the platform.
The design phase of the platform took place between July and August 2022. In this case, the deliverables included: user flows, UX/UI screens (mobile and web perspectives), and UI interactive prototypes (mobile and web perspectives). The implementation phase took place between September and November 2022.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
It’s too soon to tell as the platform has just been launched to the general public a few weeks ago. However, soon enough, it will be able to offer customers the best promotional proposal that is tailored to their specific needs, and it will help Wens’ employees decrease their workload, and increase customer satisfaction. What is more, the clients will be able to better understand the process of organizing a trip and will be able to figure out better and faster what their exact needs and wishes are.

The e-learning platform was implemented between May and June 2022. For the onboarding tourism platform, things were more complex. We went through Linnify’s validation process during June and July 2022. The design phase of the platform took place between July and August 2022. The implementation phase took place between September and November 2022. Both of these platforms were delivered fast and on time.
Our PM, Dragos was very helpful. He always had an overview of everything that was happening at all times. He always knew which are the next steps, what is going on within the team, and what is the status, and always made sure that we were updated on everything that is happening. This also helped us be reassured at all times. The communication was very efficient. The main communication channels were: Whatsapp and email.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I really appreciated their work methodology as I could clearly understand the flow from start to finish as it was very well organized, and clearly communicated. We really created the product together, and their validation process helped us a lot with what are our needs (as well as our customer's), what are our pains, and how we can solve them. It was amazing to us that we could take user interviews, something that we haven’t done before.
The workshops were extremely helpful for us to understand our potential users better. Another thing that I really appreciated was the fact that their help did not end when the product was delivered. We had another workshop to discover together which would be the best ways to promote our product, where to promote it, and how we cancan we make it successful. Their involvement and dedication were truly wonderful.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Sometimes, it was difficult to guide ourselves by Linnify’s sprints. We had to keep up with their rhythm when delivering the content they needed although it was a busy period for us. But at the same time, we didn’t clearly communicate it with them.
