I'm a product manager at an e-commerce company. I supervise our shopping cart project.

For what projects/services did your company hire Limegrow Web Development?

Before I joined the company, external suppliers created and maintained our e-commerce plugins. The high complexity of our legacy API and the non-centralized nature of our development process resulted in poor quality, high development costs, and confusing communication. 

What were your goals for this project?

My goal was to make the process more cost- and time-efficient. I also wanted to seriously modernize the UX and improve the technical quality of the plugins.

How did you select this vendor?

I chose Tallinn as the city with the best combination of quality, price, and English proficiency. Then I used Clutch to identify all the local e-commerce agencies and send requests to 44 of them. I interviewed three companies, including Limegrow Web Development. After calling their CEO, I was fully convinced of their ability to deal with the challenge.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Limegrow Web Development is building our centralized architecture, which allows us to replicate the complex parts of the code. We're building plugins for five e-commerce platforms and consulting external suppliers that connect to the new API. Limegrow Web Development provides development in PHP, PrestaShop, Magento, WooCommerce, WordPress, Lightspeed, and Shopify. They also handle QA and project management. 

What was the team composition?

We have a solution architect, a project manager, a QA analyst, and five developers.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

After years of problems with e-commerce plugins, we have high-quality, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. These plugins constantly receive positive feedback.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Limegrow Web Development works in an agile fashion and constantly adapts to our needs. Their project management and communication are highly effective.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I'm impressed by the ability of their CEO to find solutions to literally every challenge.

Maybe they should have a bigger office. Otherwise, everything is perfect.

I’m the owner and team lead for the Woof Woof Online Store, which connects dog owners with the information and products to best support and serve the dogs in our families including premium dog toys, dog food, and dog treats.

How did you select this vendor?

We chose to work with Limegrow because we had heard great things about them from a friend. We heard that the team is really friendly and enjoyable to work with and that they get the job done.

Describe the project in detail.

We needed the store to have a few key initial features—it needed to work flawlessly with Amazon, have a simple to use content management system, and be SEO [search engine optimization] friendly. Later, the website was to also include our MailChimp newsletter sign-up boxes and better search capabilities.

What was the team composition?

We met with the team lead and the project manager—both were really friendly and easy to work with. They helped us discover new ways to market our products and make the most of our site.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What outcomes or results can you share that demonstrate progress and/or success?

Our website traffic has more than doubled. It’s also incredibly fast for our customers across the U.S., which was really important for us too. We’ve also expanded our store to over 300 products and more than 50 blog posts without any problems. Whenever we run into something, the Limegrow team is always available to support us.

How effective was the project management?

Project management went smoothly. The team lead was always quick to respond to any questions and kept us updated during the process. We used Slack, Asana, and Skype although I was offered Jira access as well. No language barrier was present and I found no issues with the time difference.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I really appreciated their team; they really worked with us, instead of preaching at us. Rather than making web development seem daunting or complex they made everything simple, which made me feel more comfortable moving forward. They also did a great job of getting the work done—their team pushed and went the extra mile to help meet our deadline.
