We are one of the largest Polish regional television stations. We have been in business since 1997. Programs prepared in our studios are watched by several million people – we‘re broadcasting local news, information, entertainment, cultural, educational and journalistic programs. Our problem, however, was that our website, which looked unprofessional and was completely behind the times. Above all, the site didn't give access to our programs, and yet more and more people are watching TV shows online only.

For what projects/services did your company hire Liki? Our goal was to create a new version of the website/information portal. We wanted the way of presenting content and materials to resemble what users are familiar with, from other TV sites. We came to the conclusion that the new portal should present the latest events in a clear way, so that Internet users could easily stay updated with the life of the city and its surroundings.

The user experience had to be smooth, so the viewer could focus on the content. In the first stage of our work we decided to focus solely on the challenges of visual design and user experience, so that only after achieving the ideal solution, we could move on to the programming work and implementation of the portal. What were your goals for this project? Our business goal was to create a new channel to access our content, thereby expanding our reach. The method to achieve it - to build a new, modern website that befits a leading TV station.

Among Polish software companies, we were looking for one with experience in building solutions for TV and online video. Liki was one of the candidates that prevailed due to the quality of what they presented, and their easy availability - they operate in the same city as us, and we wanted to cooperate directly.

The project involves creating full website design and graphics for a leading local TV station, from simple mock-ups on which the user experience was tested, to hi-fi pixel perfect mockups that could already be handed over to developers for further work. Our goal was for the design to work equally well on any size screen and for the interface to resemble what the world's biggest TV stations offer.

On the Liki side, two UX designers, two UI designers worked on the design, and a front-end architect provided consultation. Additionally, Liki brought its own Project Manager, who was in constant communication with our Product Owner.

We were able to create planned design for the new site. Everything is ready to start programming work.

Till April 2021 I was software team leader of the Orange TV Go project, which is part of the Orange Poland offering package. Our platform allows you to stream and record TV shows, purchase movies and stream them in a VoD model. We have been in the TV market for over 15 years. During this time, we have been constantly developing our solution, in order to deliver the best possible experience to our viewers and maintain our competitive edge in technology.

Our video streaming solution is available for iOS and Android and as a web app. And it was for the development of this web application that we were looking for an external company. We needed a proven provider that would bring real experts in web technologies and video processing to our team. We obviously needed such experts to fit into our development team, working under the guidance of our team lead.

On our first attempt to create an Orange TV Go web application we decided to choose the Angular framework. However, it did not bring good results. So we decided to build a new one from scratch in React/Redux technology.

Orange Poland has been working with Liki for over 8 years now, and it is a proven provider of great programmers for us. After sending a request for proposal, Liki presented best solution related to process. After internal testing, Liki's candidates proved to be the best. We decided to engage two senior-level developers for our project.

From a business point of view, it's a standard Team Extension: we contracted two Liki React developers to work as part of our team for over a year, developing a new Orange TV Go web application, while also helping with maintenance work on the current application.

Our new web application is now available to our customers and is getting good feedback. We are very happy with our choice of React, it has allowed us to speed up our work by at least 30%.

nope Liki has a lot of experience working with us, and it shows in the developers they offer us. Despite the remote mode, we had no problems in communication.

The project is basically just a one-pager site based on WordPress, since that content management system is the one our staff is most familiar with. However, the most important part of the work was done by a team of graphic designers and designers, designing from scratch a spectacular interface tailored to our fantasies. And the frontend developers made extreme optimization of the site for performance and for good SEO results, they also developed nice solutions for embedding hi quality videos and sharing content through social media.

The project had a team of three people on our side, and on Liki's side there were two UX/UI designers, two frontend developers, and a project manager.

As a result they created for us a beautiful website, in line with our branding and marketing goals, on time.

Regular communication and video meetings allowed us to stay in touch and know how work on the site was progressing. Workflow was nice and effective.

The artistic imagination of Liki designers and their technical skills are world class and we are delighted to have engaged them.

We are an international IT service and support provider, with focus on service desk offers around the clock, managed services for IT infrastructures, large client rollouts and datacenter operations. Most of our customers are industrial companies, many times we act for them as an integrator of complex IT solutions. As a CIO of the Company I was Project Leder in this project.

One of our customers from the utilities sector had a mission-critical SCADA application with a custom GUI panel developed in the nineties for win32. However, while the backend of the system has seen a lot of changes in recent years, the visualization system has remained the same.

Additionally, the problem was the inability to run the system on non windows devices, while many engineers were using Android devices. Our client decided it was time to create a modern web-based visualization system for their system that would work on any device and be easy to develop to keep up with the evolution of the backend logic.

It was a referral from one of our partners who used their services and was very satisfied. The offering contained full description of the project phases and roles, programing methods and apporval stages. The priceing was acceptable.

t is a modern, React-based SCADA visualization platform for elaborate process control and system monitoring, enabling definitions of dynamic behavior and attachment of real-time data sources. All widgets have to be done as vector graphics, to be resolution independent. There was also some work on extending the API of the system, to help with dynamic data and handling realtime user interactions.

We hired from Liki three senior React developers and one senior Java developer. These guys were working as part of our team.

After two months of intense work, our customer had a production-ready MVP of a new visualization platform for the web, working equally well on PC’s and touch-based tablet screens. Currently we are preparing for the next stage, which should bring more customization features.

The developers hired from Liki were part of our team, participating in daily and all other parts of the software development process. Project management was based on SCRUM method. We hired from Liki three senior React developers and one senior Java developer. These guys were working as part of our team.

GG Tech is a tool shop, which has been providing services since 2003 in the mechanical industry. Currently about 50 engineers and technicians work for us, using a modern, well-equipped machine park.

One of our products are measurement jigs used in industry in Quality Control processes to verify the correctness of dimensions of manufactured components. However, this is done manually, so we were looking to automate and digitize this process.

The stands I mentioned are used as follows: the production worker inserts the workpiece into them and applies a position sensor through special measuring holes. The data are saved in a spreadsheet and compared with the expected data. Depending on the result and the established tolerance, the part is either considered correct or is rejected. Some time ago we started working on automating this process.

We developed an entire measuring station (cell), consisting of a granite table, stands, a robotic arm and a set of sensors. Of course, all of this required software development – there were no existing solutions available. Goals for this project: We commissioned the development of software that:

1. integrates the work of the robot, sensors and production workers
2. collects, records, processes and interprets data obtained in the measurement process.
3. Provides an HMI (Human Machine Interface) to manage and operate the equipment It can be said to be a tailor-made SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We sent about 10 RFPs to various software companies around the country. Most responded that they don't do such things. Three presented their offers. Liki's offer was the cheapest, so we chose it.

We were building SCADA class software to connect the work of robots, sensors and workers, collecting and processing data acquired in the process of measurements and allowing us to manage all the above. Liki proposed to implement this software in Python, using Qt and sqlalchemy libraries.

This approach will allow us to run the software without modification in both a Linux environment running on a Raspberry Pi and on Windows-based industrial tablets. The whole project is quite modular, its architecture will allow us to adapt it to changes in hardware and its configuration.

We got a working MVP within 2 months, and it is currently being deployed in production with us.

I decided to get into e-commerce during the covid-19 outbreak, seeing the growing interest in online stores. However, my profession has nothing to do with computers or the internet, I am a layman in these matters. I decided to look for help from experts.

I wanted a ready made online store that would be easy to use, attractive to customers, that would allow online payments also on mobile devices and that would rank well in search engines.

Pretty typical expectations, right? My goal was to fit into my tight budget and get the store up and running fairly quickly - because I was getting the merchandise done at the same time and wanted to start selling right away.

I was looking for a company in my city so that if there were any problems I could deal with them personally. I called over a dozen companies from an online directory. The prices were similar, but Liki showed me the nicest realizations, so I decided on them.

Hard to say - just an online store with a shopping cart, admin panel, search engine and integration with payments and delivery. I wanted simplicity and clarity for my customers.

I run a small clothing and home products online store. It runs fast and stable. In the future I would like to build some customer loyalty program.

I am the CEO of an association that unites and supports women with breast cancer. Our goal is to represent the interests of people that are affected with breast cancer and support their full psychophysical rehabilitation. Our website at the time was highly outdated and seemed unprofessional by today’s standards, lacking both in terms of visual quality and responsiveness.

Members of our association are mostly people that are just being introduced to the digital world, so our goal was not only to create a modern looking website but also to find a company that will help with the process of digitization of our association.

It was important to us that the company that we were looking for will listen to our needs and can guide us through the process in a way that will be easily understandable, having the experience and resources to build a modern website. Out of 5 companies that we were discussing our needs with, we’ve chosen Liki, as they had all the values we needed and additionally they were located in the same city, making it easier to have face to face consultations about the looks and feels of the website and the location made it easier to achieve as we prefer face to face meetings.

Additionally, Liki was also offering a wide range of consulting and support in terms of digitalization of business processes and security which seemed very helpful considering how little experience we’ve had.

The first step was a one-day workshop with Liki. As a result, we defined personas and the scope of MVP, all documentation of functionalities and requirements. We also set user stories and outlined the diagram of the application structure. Further, prototypes and the design system were built. Once the components were prepared, the UI for the app and web version was created.

Two UI/UX designers for the project. Composition of the workshop: two UI/UX designers, CTO and Project Manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

At the beginning of our cooperation with Liki we had application version 0.1. The application was poor in functionality and we provided too much unstructured data for the end user. Now the application is optimized, well-thought-out, and seems very friendly. Now the application is an autonomous advisor for the user supported by AI.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Seamless and systematic communication, very transparent and clear. We especially appreciated the workshops, which had a significant impact on the further development of the project. It was not without misunderstandings, additional costs and missed deadlines. Thanks to Lika's proactive attitude, we finally received a product that met our and our clients' expectations.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We worked 100% remotely and felt like we had known each other longer. Each week of work was supported by visible progress in the project. We didn't even feel for a moment that we were "just another" client. We could feel great commitment and understanding of our project. Each stage of the project is done thoroughly and the client gets much more than they expected.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We delivered a new front-end feature seen by tens of thousands of users in the e-commerce seller tools website on both desktop and mobile. Users interact with the feature to gain a better understanding of their business and improve their business with actions the feature makes easily available to them.

We coordinated with the vendor using Microsoft Teams, handled Agile sprint planning in JIRA, and used a variety of other tools (git in Stash, Confluence wiki, Figma for designs). The team successfully coordinated across multiple time zones and were response to questions and communication in an effective way.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their engineers had good communication skills and engineering skills. They did well on taking tasks, understanding the needs, communicating about any areas that needed more information or documentation, and then delivered on the work in a quick and efficient manner.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We did not know the national holidays for both countries we worked in at the start of the project. We should have communicated earlier about when our countries had holidays scheduled. This did not impact our project results.

They also implemented new photo and video content for us with social media channels included.

Today our website is more friendly for end-users, also we increased our position in Google Rank due to better SEO. Thanks to the implementation of Google Tools, we can set better campaigns for our target group.

It was effective cooperation, the whole management process was on the Liki side. They were responsive and flexible. We had 3 daily meetings during the week and also calls on demand.

We decided to completely change the webpage and connect to CRM and CMS and Google analytics.
