Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a franchise owner of IMS Barter. We’re a nationwide company with approximately 20,000 members who barter with each other. We have 29 offices in about 17 states and have four franchises. I own one of the four franchises.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Les is More! Coaching?

We were trying to focus on our prospecting for new members. We have a new employee that Les (Owner) is helping get up to speed. Our team wanted to find a good, steady way to achieve our goals.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Les is helping us discover the best way to find and acquire new members. Our new employee’s role is to help people barter with each other. Les is working with our new employee to get them to be as efficient as possible.

What is the team composition?

I only work with Les.

How did you come to work with Les is More! Coaching?

We found him through a networking group. We’ve used other business coaches in the past but I liked Les’s personality and what I thought he could do for us. I reached out to him.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested about $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement started in September 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re getting where we want to go; it’s a continuing process. We’re not there yet but I see Les as a continuing asset. We’ll continue to utilize him in order to keep us on track.

How did Les is More! Coaching perform from a project management standpoint?

I like Les because we communicate continually. We have a standing call every Monday which can last anywhere from thirty minutes to one-and-a-half hours. It’s continual processing of getting us where we want to go and as efficient as possible.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really like that it’s a comprehensive, continual approach. It isn’t something where we meet once and then we’re left on our own; it’s a continual thing. If I have a problem, I can call Les and he will address my need immediately. I get continual support so I don’t have to rely on my own work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind. If we have a problem, I can reach out to him. Les is an integral member of my team.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

This will be a great fit if you like somebody that you can talk to continually. Les can become a member of your team if you allow it.

What challenge were you trying to address with Les is More! Coaching?

Last year, I was going through a pivot in my business. I brought him on for coaching.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

To date, he's been advising me on getting out there more. Don't email or text, but pick up the phone and call people. He's worked on how I can network more efficiently to build relationships similar to what I've done with him. He's assisted with referral marketing and targeted marketing, changing pitches to be more appropriate for target markets. He's also introduced me to people he knows, such as a legal person, a social media person, a copyrighter, and more.

How did you come to work with Les is More! Coaching?

I'm a part of a networking group, and he's a part of the same group. They teach that givers gain. I knew that he was having trouble with his website, and would rather barter than pay cash. I figured this was a good relationship to have. I'd help him with his website and he'd provide me with business advice.

How much have you invested with them?

I don't know what he charges because we bartered.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began work in March 2020, and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I'm not the best student, but he can't be knocked from that. I already received a referral from him, which is what I wanted.

How did Les is More! Coaching perform from a project management standpoint?

His communication is excellent. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

He's not in-your-face or aggressive in any way. He's not off-putting despite being direct and not overly cushy and sappy, making him great to work with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I do not.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Force yourself to break your comfort zone. He's asking you to put trust in him that he's not going to put you in harm's way. Make the time for him too. If you're super busy, his coaching won't be as effective.
