I’m the president & CEO of a parking services company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Leivas Tax Wealth Management?

We wanted to pay the least amount of income taxes, legally. We also needed bookkeeping services to make sure all of our accounting is in order.

They provide bookkeeping, IRS extensions and payments, and other business consulting services. For example, before we were a partnership and they recommended we incorporate, so we became a corporation.

We work with Spencer (Accounting Manager & Enrolled Agent) and one other person.

We’re part of the same local chamber of commerce in Southern California. We met them about six years ago.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $50,000 over the last six years.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2014, and our work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Spencer is always willing to give us business advice, answer any of our questions, and help us reach a decision. They’re very knowledgeable about all of the tax laws, especially the ones that changed with the new president. Overall, they’ve been very beneficial. They save us a lot of time and help us grow our business.

How did Leivas Tax Wealth Management perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very communicative, they respond to emails promptly, and are usually available to meet in person if needed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re local to us, friendly, and take the time to build a personal relationship.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve a bit in meeting deadlines. Since we use their service year-round, we notice things get especially busy around tax season. They could be better about managing that busy period of time better.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to meet with them in person and have all of your documents ready when you’re going into an in-person meeting.
