I’m the head of marketing for a B2B fintech company for the chemical industry. We’re a chemical marketplace where buyers and sellers of chemical goods can come into our platform. Essentially, our website is a legion tool.

What challenge were you trying to address with LeadsPanda?

We needed to develop our website from the ground up. As a startup, we had to build a content team, so we had to look at different resources to do the project effectively and efficiently.

What was the scope of their involvement?

LeadsPanda has helped us build out our needs, customizing their services to what we need at the time. They’ve been able to adapt, doing everything from creating an editorial calendar for social media to blog strategy and keyword research. Additionally, they’ve built out case studies that we can publish among our users.

After the initial onboarding, they took over to ensure everything was formalized. From there, LeadsPanda has taken the reins and worked with us. They worked on social media in the beginning, but they’ve adapted our plan since then. We got the internal resources, so they’ve been able to handle a bit more. They’ve used a scheduler to post on social media and Databox for reporting and insights. Currently, they focus on case studies.

We work with about three people, including a sales and account manager and different content writers.

They found us via email, and some of their ideas caught my eye. We contacted them, and their contact person set up all of our account information, gave us pricing options, and walked us through the workflow from their standpoint.

We started working with them in March 2021, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our organic traffic has increased by about 208% since we started working with LeadsPanda. The site is still informational at this point, but we hope we can grow into more conversions. Nonetheless, we’re also looking to get out more educational content to get people into our system as a high funnel of information. Overall, they’ve helped us to make our marketing team efficient.

How did LeadsPanda perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re super amenable; the team is well-organized and takes direction well. We just use Google Drive and Excel to manage the project. For communication, we have monthly meetings and send emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Working with them is easy. Their streamlined processes make it simple, and they adapt well to change.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could probably improve on technical SEO. LeadsPanda is focused on the content side, but I think it’s important to do content and technical SEO simultaneously. Adding it to the package would probably be valuable for customers. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Firstly, list your goals and make them clear. Ensure that you have KPI monitoring; content can change with every new Google release, so stay up to date on trends. Overall, you must understand that it’s a crawl, walk, run process, so you won’t see results overnight. You must allow the process to take place before you throw in the towel.

As the primary content and product marketing manager, I work for Marin Software, a leading PPC management tool. I oversee all of our corporate content including blogs, webinars, speaking engagements, etc.

We have a monthly check-in with a shared dashboard that helps both sides keep work moving. I provide topics and content requests, and they provide a timeline and then deliverables. It's smooth and easy.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The project manager Vered is awesome. Editors June and DD are very professional and seem to do thorough edits/QA of everything that goes out the door, and the content writers themselves have various skills but ultimately always produce something quality.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

A display ad article LeadsPanda wrote has been our leading articles on our website for several months now. It has brought in thousands of visitors via organic web traffic, that resulted in a handful of conversions, which is really great for our business.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very easy and ongoing--Vered keeps everything running like clockwork.

The project management process is easy and efficient, and they are priced quite well for the quality of work. I don't usually have to take more than 1-2 hours revising something they give me. I can sometimes tell that the writer is not an industry expert in our field (SaaS digital marketing), but they are good at taking feedback and making changes when needed.

They also do pretty well when I am very prescriptive on the kind of content I want. Like cover X topic based on these 4 example articles, at 800 words...or what have you. Overall, I have liked working with LeadsPanda very much, and I would definitely recommend them.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The fact they can produce high quantities of content for a reasonable price is what brought me to LeadsPanda and has kept me with them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Sometimes the articles start to look or sound very similar because I think they follow some preferred templated formats, so it would be nice to get a bit more creativity at times. When pushed or if I give specific feedback, they usually make changes that up the ante on the content quality just fine. They're good at addressing criticism.

The articles they've created are gaining traction, and have consistently attracted a couple of hundred clicks. Our social media following is growing, and we're seeing increased engagement there too.
