They have helped us with several web development projects. When we are working on websites that include features like client portals or customer relations portals, the job of creating and customizing those for the specific functions our clients need falls to them.

One of the projects recently was a request from a precious metals investment company for a website with a backend membership login system. They designed a system that allows clients to access their accounts and be able to see their inventory and the real-time progress of the equity in their investments.

That particular site was on WordPress, so they utilized JavaScript for the development. In general, we handle most of the frontend designs, but they take care of everything on the backend, including designing the user flows and things like that.

Over the years we’ve worked with them, we’ve had anywhere between 1–4 developers working on our projects, including our project manager with them.

I met Rakesh (Founder, Leadingdots Solutions Pvt Ltd) online many years ago, and started working with him around when he started his company. He was a freelancer at the time, but he’s got a pretty big company now.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We look a lot at the reviews we receive from our clients, and a big part of those positive reviews comes from the timely work they’ve delivered for us and reflects our clients’ satisfaction with the quality and budget of those projects.

It’s also allowed us to grow in the time that we’ve worked with them because we have a tech team that we weren’t able to utilize before. Having them to handle a lot of the day to day maintenance of websites and building out little plugin scripts frees us up to do more on the business development side.

How did Leadingdots Solutions Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

I have really great access to them even though they're located in India. I can call them up any time I need help, and Rakesh actually comes to New York a few times a year and visits, and we’re able to discuss any larger issues or questions we have.

The other thing I really appreciate about their project management style is that, since we are operating with third-party clients, they are very flexible in accommodating how the client wants to handle communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I think their accountability really stands out from the crowd. Just gaining trust over time by not making excuses and being very clear about what they can and can’t do is something you don’t find very often. They’ve also been great about helping me to steer clear of potential dangers or budget problems and provide honest advice about what they think is the best direction to go in a lot of cases.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think their visits to New York have been a great improvement in terms of facilitating even closer communication, but nothing they do is causing us any problems.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Their process is very intuitive and gets broken down into easy steps. They have a whole idea incubation area that they can work through with you, so if you don’t necessarily have your idea completely nailed down, that’s not going to be the end of the world. Just start where you are and they’ll be able to help you move forward.

This work was done for one of our companies - SkinFitness, which is a skin salon retail business in Singapore. I am a Director and co-founder.

To develop a customer experience 5 Star survey that is integrated with our Point of Sale and displayed via an iPad at the reception desk. It asks a customer, during check-out to rate the service they had just received. It states their name, their Service Provider's name.

What were your goals for this project?

Build an iPad (and Android) app, along with a WebApp for administration, subscription billing via STRIPE and management and pairing of the mobile devices.

How did you select this vendor?

Had done some earlier, smaller work with them.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Simple, clear and easy for a customer to use and not feel intimidated by. It had to use the POS API to extract customer details, as soon as the payment process had begun and displayed on the iPad before the customer had completed their transaction. There was a WebApp built to provide administration and to "pair" with the iPad. Integration with STRIPE was built for monthly subscription billing.

What was the team composition?

Unsure exactly. Assume there were some full-stack devs and UI/UX dev.

Has worked exactly as designed and planned. Easy to use from the customer's perspective. Is now used to provide our staff incentive plan which is totally based on CX (customer experience)

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Communicated over Basecamp collaboration software and delivered in an Agile iterative manner. Project delivered as expected.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They communicated, took responsibility for their work, and were cost-effective.

They could expand their resources. Some of our projects are too large for them, and a bigger team would let us work with them more regularly.

As a direct result of Leadingdots Solutions work, web traffic has consistently doubled every three months for the last year.
