BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

We are an NGO from Moldova that was established in 2006 as a resource and developing center for civil society organizations (CSOs) and public authorities institution of Moldova.

We contribute to the enhancement of management and leadership skills of the organizations and to their development into sustainable and competitive organizations, based on principles of good governance, by providing innovative and professional management solutions and approaches in order to transform organizations into a driving force promoting changes in their communities. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire LeaderHR?

We hired Leader HR in order to develop the capacities of a media independent agency from Republic of Moldova and for creating the organizational chart of the organization, job descriptions, the company`s procedure for the HR deparment, employee manual and business processes for the organizational design.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal for this engagement was to develop the capacity of a local media organization and to improve internal HR policies and processes so that the beneficiary could become more effective, efficient and productive.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We saw Olesea Ursu, the founder & CEO of LeaderHR at a presentation about organizational culture where she was the speaker and we contacted her in order to provide training for our organization. We like her professionalism, responsibility and approach toward solving the tasks/problems. After this training we worked with LeaderHR on various projects and activities regarding the development of local Moldovan organizations.

Describe the project in detail.

After we contracted LeaderHR as an outsourcing company for providing services for our beneficiaries we described and explained in details our expectations and the needs which our beneficiary had (developing Job descriptions, HR Manual, recruiting, implementing business processes).

Furthermore Olesea Ursu analyzed the existing documents/internal policies and procedures of the beneficiary (Job descriptions, HR Manual, KPIs etc.) After that, we held a meeting with the beneficiary and Olesea Ursu explained the sollutions which can be implemented and the work approach which she and LeaderHR has.

Furthermore, a Work Plan with a strict timeline was developed and agreed by all parties and we proceeded to implement these activities. Periodically, she provided drafts of the documents and update of the work done and made adjustments according to the feedback provided by the beneficiary (in our case it was the Media Organization – TV8 and others).

After the work is done and approved by the client, we organize another meeting with the client and extra tips and recommendations are provided by Olesea for the client and every document which was developed is explained for responsible/interested persons in order to be sure that the client understood all details, that the expectations were met and if there is any place for improvement of adjustment.

What was the team composition?

During our collaborations/projects with LeaderHR we worked directly with the CEO of LeaderHR - Ms. Olesea Ursu but all the logistical details were coordinated with her assistant.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within 6 months of collaboration with Olesea Ursu, we managed to develop for 4 media organizations from Republic of Moldova:

  1.  More than 100 Job descriptions for 5 media organizations;
  2.  5 organizational charts;
  3. Business processes for the production departments and journalists.
  4. 5 Assessments regarding the level of satisfactions of employees in the organizations where they work;
  5. 1 HR Manual;
  6. 4 people hired in these 4 organisations. Besides the progress we mentioned, we are still working together and have an ongoing project on which we collaborate/work together (we contracted LeaderHR as an outsourcing company to provide for us consultancy services in HR for our beneficiaries).

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was smooth and quick, and the representatives of LeaderHR are very open to feedback. They are available almost anytime when we needed support or consultancy towards any issues we had or questions.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Olesea Ursu has worked before in the United States/California and you can see that she accumulated a lot of experience and professionalism in the companies / start-ups where she activated before. We really liked this because many local companies lack the approach, professionalism, and vision which Olesea and LeaderHR team has. We will definitely be working with LeaderHR again and will recommend this company to other clients or beneficiaries.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Based on the experience of working with her, we didn`t see any areas for improvement.
