I’m the head of the website creation department for a company that packages experiences for clients in the B2B and B2C sectors.

For what projects/services did your company hire LAYERSSHOW?

We decided to change our sales platform, putting us in need of a new central module for the system. We conceptualized the project but needed a company to carry out its development.

What were your goals for this project?

Ultimately, we wanted a scalable module that could automate our sales processes.

How did you select this vendor?

We compiled a list of a few agencies we found through internet forums and thematic Facebook groups. In the end, we chose to partner with LAYERSSHOW.

Because our business model differs from the industry standard, we felt it necessary to provide LAYERSSHOW with thorough project descriptions and documentation. We discussed these guidelines in detail, ensuring their team perfectly understood our needs.

LAYERRSHOW mainly worked with our administrative panel, using technologies like PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the module’s full build. Only visible during the ordering process, some of the system’s main functionalities include: generating PDF files in various templates, sending relevant order information to our database, generating, grouping, and importing voucher numbers, filtering data to search for vouchers, and exporting results.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

This project was part of a larger initiative to change our system, which generated a solution that we are still using today.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We mostly handle project management on our end, recording individual tasks in LAYERSSHOW’s system. After significant discussions, their team started on the assigned work. We scheduled several online conferences and face-to-face meetings for further dialogue.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They approached our project very professionally.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

They should work on their project management skills. Specifically, they could benefit from using more intuitive tools.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-owner at E-sport4u.com. We organize sports tournaments and several online games, creating a community for gamers to play for free on our website. They can gain points and exchange them for prizes. There are also tournaments with outright prizes.

What challenge were you trying to address with LAYERSSHOW?

We needed someone to develop our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They created our website from scratch, including the blog and everything on the website. We prepared some basic requirements and they helped us to develop it. Artur (Leader/CEO, LAYERSSHOW) showed us a way to arrange the things we wanted to achieve. They prepared different design versions and we chose one.

What is the team composition?

There were three constant people on the project. Artur contacted us about the progress, possibilities, and the decisions. There were two software programmers. If any additional resources were needed, they supplied them.

How did you come to work with LAYERSSHOW?

We found them on Google when searching for companies that specialize in website development. We found several and narrowed it down to three. After meeting Artur, we decided to work with LAYERSSHOW­—they seemed to be the best option for us.

How much have you invested with them?

It was $12,000 for the first version. We then extended brackets with new ideas and it was an additional $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–July 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Users are very satisfied with the website. We've received a lot of messages saying it's very well optimized for mobile devices. It's fortunate for us because we mostly want young people to play on our website. They also like the digital side of our website. There weren’t many bugs and the whole process was really positive.

How did LAYERSSHOW perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very well organized—we had a tool that we could access anytime, and they always provided information about all the features in development and the percent of completion. We could verify every day what had been done. There was no way they could scam us. Everything was documented on email, but for faster communication, we used a tool they provided us. We also used the phone for quick communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their organization. The tool that they provide is easy and allows us to see which features have been programmed, what can be done, and what can’t be done. Even if someone doesn’t know anything about software development, they can get help from them and understand what’s going on.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I can think of that could be done differently. We were pretty satisfied with everything we received.

LAYERSSHOW was recommended to us but we also interviewed two other vendors to make sure we chose the best option. LAYERSSHOW was the only firm that offered us the solution we were looking for.

LAYERSSHOW developed a sales solution that determined the price of customizable objects. They also connected the solution to our catalog to facilitate our ease of work.

We worked with a project manager, two developers, and a UX/UI designer.

The solution created by LAYERSSHOW improved our sales team efficiency.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The collaboration was good, the project team was responsive and open for discussion if it was needed. We used their original tool TaskTracker and phone for communication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

This company has a very openminded and elastic approach and it is definitely their strength. Thanks to the TaskTracker platform it is easy to communicate with the whole team.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

I do not find any major things that should be improved.
