Although it’s too soon for measurable results, Kudzu Brands is easy to work with. The team is highly engaged, communicative, and timely. They are willing to take direction, but they still offer creative solutions in the marketing space. The project manager is a great liaison.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

We are custom builders of luxury homes. I don’t think I have a title, but I do accounting and marketing.


What challenge were you trying to address with Kudzu Brands?

We wanted a company to help us with our marketing material and provide their expertise, as we don’t have that within the company. We’d been working with another company, but we wanted to switch to a firm that could provide better communication.


What was the scope of their involvement?

They design our books, stationery, and any marketing material. This includes digital marketing and print collateral. They’re redesigning and updating our website as well, so it’s not just creative. They also provide us with search engine optimization and pay-per-click services. They’re really a full-service agency.

We have monthly meetings with them. We’re always adding things and progressing on different tasks. They’re getting us onto one of the Private Mountain communities as a featured builder. They do digital magazines, which they’re finishing up right now for Carolina Home & Garden. We just had an open house on one of our homes, and they coordinated work on that.

How did you come to work with Kudzu Brands?

Our owner and CEO had heard about them. We interviewed and hired them based on a feeling that we had.

How much have you invested with Kudzu Brands?

I would have to look into it. That’s information for our CFO to provide.

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership started around February of 2017 and is ongoing.


Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

We’re happy with their work. They’ve been with us for three months, so it’s way too early to tell how our audience will react. Things take time to set up, including the website, which won’t be done for another couple weeks. We’re happy with their communication. They are very timely, and they’re good people with whom to work.

How did Kudzu Brands perform from a project management standpoint?

We have monthly meetings with them as well as daily emails, and they’re very responsive. I follow up with them at least a few times a week, if not daily. They’re right there, ready to answer any questions. They respond very well to feedback. If there’s something we prefer not to do, they’re fine with that and back away.

What did you find most impressive about Kudzu Brands?

It’s their communication, timeliness, and responsiveness. They are very creative. I have a contact person who acts as a liaison between us and their staff.

Are there any areas Kudzu Brands could improve?

I don’t think so, no.
