A talented team, Konstruktor Online provided excellent services and support, which helped keep the company afloat during COVID-19. Throughout the project, they offered a high level of knowledge and expertise, great communication skills, and exceptional management.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of Urban Lobby, a new concept for tourists who don’t know where to place their luggage during the window time of the tracking and checkout from apartments.
What challenge were you trying to address with Konstruktor Online?
We wanted to have an automatic luggage locker with a revolutionary twist by making it automated, pre-bookable, and bookable via mobile. We needed an IT developer.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Konstruktor Online has done pretty much everything. They pitched the execution plan to us, gave us a quote, and conducted research.
They did a lot of work with the user experience design, and they were heavily involved in both the software and physical hardware part. The team worked on the front- and backend and provided advice throughout. They contracted a company to design the terminals.
The luggage locker system consists of 100 luggage compartments and the terminal is the driver and the main unit. We involved a subcontractor for the lockers and a subcontractor for the terminal as well.
How did you come to work with Konstruktor Online?
They had the expertise to successfully plan and execute our project of establishing an automated luggage locker system. They have a big scale of quality. They were a company who had some experience in actually completing and handing over a system in a timely manner.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $60,000-$70,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from September 2017-September 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The quality of work they delivered is excellent. My company went through a lot of challenges lately because of COVID-19. We closed the venue for four months and once we opened again, it was running very stable with very limited maintenance and support.
I’m very happy with Konstruktor Online and that they’re still supporting us.
How did Konstruktor Online perform from a project management standpoint?
They managed the project very professionally. They used Asana.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s impressive to me that they can do hardware and software at the same time for such a small company. They’re a one-stop-shop. They can do most of the work. If there’s something very special, they subcontract it.
They did the website backend, application for iOS and Android, the frontend, and the terminal. They can do a whole package deal. We go to the meeting room and they bring us to an actual laboratory where they do the testing. It was very impressive.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They’re a young company. Young developers can be very hungry and willing to do a lot of stuff. They could be a little bit more polished and mature a little bit. It’s something inevitable with young companies who are very innovative.
Sometimes they say yes to a problem and it took a little bit longer to solve it for them because they said yes too fast.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’ve already recommended them to some people. Specify exactly what you need and they will find a solution.
