I’m the CEO of a Christmas consumer products company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Koen Studio?

We needed UI/UX design done on several projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Koen Studio worked on several projects with us over the years. They have done all the design-related work for our new website. They’ve also done tags, print design for tags and thank you cards, label design, frontend work for our Christmas website as well as each subdomain website, and more. 

The team handled all frontend design and UX, as well. We provided specifications of what we need, and they worked collaboratively with my team. 

They worked on the frontend and presented it to us for review and feedback, making any necessary changes. As new features are added, they make designs for each landing page.

What is the team composition?

I interact with two teammates, and they handle everything on their side.

How did you come to work with Koen Studio?

They were referred by a software development company I worked with previously.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together on this project from January–June 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They are superior to other designers I’ve worked with, and I won’t hire anyone else. I use them exclusively.

How did Koen Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

They do well, and we haven’t had any issues. We used Trello, which gave me full oversight as the project progressed, and they delivered on time. Communication was good, and the team had a good grasp of English. They were available and responsive even on weekends.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They challenge you, giving honest feedback and suggestions. The team was highly skilled and easy to work with. They take pride in their work, have amazing ideas, and see the bigger picture because of their design background.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I have no suggestions.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Listen to them. Koen Studio is knowledgeable and professional, and if you give them full control, they can deliver faster. Give them the opportunity to show you that they know what they’re doing.

I'm one of the founders, and we're building a real estate platform to streamline the purchase and sale of properties in Japan.

We work with Koen Studio to create our brand identity to have a consistent brand image that users are proud to use the software.

How did you select this vendor?

After dozens of interviews with potential candidates, Koen Studio fits the most for our brand direction. They also demonstrated excellent design expertise and superior communications.

The design process was smooth, and they were flexible in making changes based on our feedback.

Two; I believe both are co-founders of the company.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

By creating a brand identity, we can accelerate our prototype design process as we can use the brand identity repeatedly.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We mainly used Dribble and Gmail as our primary communication channels. We also communicated via Google Meet when needed to talk.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed by the quality of their work and the ease of collaborating with them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The whole process was perfect - I cannot think of anything that we could have done differently.
