• Overall the project has been a success. The new version of the product Kode built looks great and all key deliverables were met.

For what projects/services did your company hire Kode Technologies, and what were your goals?

We needed to develop an application able to compile data from many sources, apply proprietary AI models and trigger automated responses.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We contacted several app developers, and Kode had a proper analytical approach and very proactive proposals showing a good understanding and technical abilities to handle this specific project.

We had 3 initial meetings to set the scope and needs of the project and then after we validated the quote, we had regular communications to be sure the project was moving in the right direction.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Logistics Manager for a company called Edison House Trading. We are a supplier and distrubuter of electrical heating products.

For what projects/services did your company hire Kode Technologies, and what were your goals?

I wanted to take our warehouse away from being stuck in a bygone era where orders get picked with a bit of paper that required someone to be stood at a computer all day just printing off for people, for there still to be the chance that someone would pick the order incorrectly and be check off incorrectly I wanted to bring in an app that was going to speed up the order picking and packing process which in turn would have our data base check the product twice to ensure it was the right one before it left.

The aim was to have everything that is done in the warehouse fed through the app for computer verification. Things like picking and packing, collections, deliviers, stock checks, locations and supplies. All of these fucntions would give any operative in the warehouse the confidence to go about their job knowing what they are doing is correct.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had spoke to 3 different companies to regards to this app, even though WeKode had yet to do anything similar to what we were presenting to them, they seemed up to the challenge and excited by the project and with looking upon their previous work it was clear they were the best choice out of the lot.

The project started with a zoom call to establish exactly what the app was for, how it would function and explaning my design and features to them. After this WeKode set off to design the Wireframes on figma which would help give a clear image of how the final design would look and how the process of the app would function. Once we had changed a few things everything was confirmed, the writing of the code began.

This part did take a while till anything tangile was avalaibe and that was mainly down to a coummincation mix up where we thought we were waiting for them to do something and they were waiting for us to do something. But 4 months later the first version of the app was avaliable for testing.

At this point it only had the picking and packing process on it. Over the following months each other feautre rolled out and was tested and if bugs were found I could just report them back to WeKode until they were no longer a problem. After a year from the start date we had a fully functioning app, which has improved our warehouses capability greatly and we still find the odd bug but WeKode are more than happy to fix it up for us.

I'm unsure on how many people we had actually work on the app

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The app has meant I don't have to get as much staff in for our busy times, the amount of incorrect items has dropped from a few a week to 1 a month. We no longer need to come in at 6am and leave at 6pm to ensure all orders have gone out, we no longer have to waste time getting someone else to check off our orders, we no longer need to have two people stood at a computer all day.

We can see exactly where stock is from a couple pushes of a button instead of having to walk around there warehouse with a pair of binos to see what we have. All round the app has been a massive time saver for the warehouse and I now couldn't think about running the warehouse without it.

I was able to Whatsapp, email and call my project manager. He would get back to me pretty fast. There was a couple occassions where it would take a while but he would always come back

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to take an idea and be able to fabricate it to how you imagined it was impeccable. To the point where I hope to work again with them to contiune to add features to the app to make the warehouse even more efficent.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Just wish it could have been developed faster, but what I have learnt is these things take time and you have to be paitent

Came across Code and haven't looked back since. they answered every requirement and have exceeded expectation.

Wireframes and designs were created with an overview on how best to approach my requirements whilst getting the best performance and engagement within the app.

I am impressed by the personal service they demonstrated. they really care about the project and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Just wish I knew this company sooner.
