Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the customer service manager for Able Moving & Storage. I oversee our residential customer service called move coordination, as well as our claims for residential and commercial moving services. Additionally, I’m part of our leadership team, act as a liaison for our IT department, and help with our marketing efforts for our residential services.
What challenge were you trying to address with KME.digital?
We needed help with direct marketing and website hosting.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We’ve been working with KME.digital for over four years now. They started helping us with our digital marketing and ended up revamping and hosting our website. Additionally, they’ve integrated HubSpot into it to use for our lead management. Additionally, they continuously help us update our website, adding content and making changes to it as needed.
Our site has gravity forms to get residential, commercial, and international inquiries for quotes, and KME.digital helps us manage those leads. We work almost daily with one of their team members, who handles every request we get and sends tickets to our sales representatives to follow up on those leads.
In addition to those services, KME.digital runs our digital marketing efforts on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. They also help us with our email marketing and SEO efforts, working closely with us on keyword research.
What is the team composition?
We work with Colin (Chief Strategy Officer), who is on all of our calls and runs their team. We also work with Dara (Manager of Strategic Communications), who is in charge of our social media posts and blogs, and Chris (Director of Digital Marketing), who is in charge of our website leads and Google Ads. Additionally, we’ve worked with Eric (CTO), who has revamped and updated our website.
How did you come to work with KME.digital?
Although I wasn’t working in my current position when KME.digital joined, I know that a consultant found them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent less than $200,000 throughout our engagement. During the first few years, we spent $20,000–$30,000 per year. However, now that they’re hosting our site and helping us with HubSpot, we’ve spent around $80,000 over the January 2021–April 2022 period.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with KME.digital since October 2017 on a regular basis, and we’ve kept assigning them more and more work over the years.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We usually compare results of one month with the last, as well as from one month to last year’s same month, and we’ve seen constant improvement in our engagements, followers, and leads. Overall, our metrics have been trending upwards since KME.digital started working with us.
How did KME.digital perform from a project management standpoint?
KME.digital’s project management is top-notch, and they have very solid processes in place. We meet via Google Meet. They’re excellent at setting our meetings, offering three different time options for us to meet. Additionally, we have an agenda for every meeting, and we always go over that agenda before following up on action items.
What did you find most impressive about them?
KME.digital’s responsiveness and listening skills are impressive; they’ve learned a lot about our business thanks to these traits. Additionally, the way they present ideas works very well for our internal team, and ours feels like a genuine relationship. We forget that they’re not part of our company, which is outstanding.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they do a fantastic job. KME.digital occasionally and rarely makes mistakes, which is the human element. Still, the way they own them is great, so we trust them a lot.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Don’t try to manage them — collaboration is key.

Through proper indexing, and an updated strategic approach to Google Ads and Ad Grants, targeted pages of the website saw more than a 2,000% improvement over the previous year. The Google Ad Grants platform improved from hovering below the 5% CTR required to maintain our status to more than 12% CTR.

We began with bi-weekly meetings and moved to monthly meetings. This has worked very well so that our team was more engaged and involved in the decision-making process at the beginning of the partnership.

Despite everything that’s going on in the world right now, their team has been great. If I email them in the morning with any requests, they’re on top of it. A majority of the time, our demands are made within the day.
As we’ve grown as a company, their team has made site changes that reflect that. They’ve been prompt at changing our ads for certain areas we want to target. Usually, January and February are our slowest months, but this year, we’ve had the best results.
Once a month, they give us a report that showcases our clicks and other elements that are going on with our website. Our numbers have gone up each year.
How did KME.digital perform from a project management standpoint?
We meet with them once a month to go over our goals. So far, we’ve met each of our monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals.
About a year ago, we needed to create a new brochure. Their graphics department was terrific and responsive. They were great at dealing with the back-and-forth.

They’re a smaller company, so we know who everyone is. In the last six months, the team at KME.digital has gotten back to us extremely fast. We sponsor the city of Fairfax, where they work. Because of this, we see them out often at different events. It’s a great partnership.
