I am the general manager at Grupo Amano. We run a restaurant, a bar, and a liquor distributor.

We needed help with developing our image.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Kiosco Creativo developed our brand’s image. They designed and have updated our logo. They create art for social networks, menus, and more. They also manage all of our merchandising, design, and website. 

What is the team composition?

We work with six people. I’m directly in touch with a project manager and a few designers.

How did you come to work with Kiosco Creativo?

I used to work in advertising before joining Grupo Amano and knew about Kiosco Creativo’s work. I was looking for a company that was trustworthy and had fresh tastes and modern designs. Their staff is made up of mostly women, so they can provide insights into our target audience, which is also mostly women.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $30,000–$35,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The collaboration started in 2014 and is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have had the chance to travel abroad and have visitors from other bars worldwide. One of the compliments we always get is about the image of the brand. I understand that Kiosco Creativo also gets asked sometimes to do similar things to they did with our brand. Our image has become one of the most important parts of our business.

How did Kiosco Creativo perform from a project management standpoint?

We have meetings and communicate by email or phone. That’s my preferred style of work—I don’t know if they have other communication channels with other clients. As for deadlines and timing, they have a great quality-time rate. They work very fast without sacrificing any quality. That’s another reason we like working with Kiosco Creativo. The results are just great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Kiosco Creativo is great at clear communication. They fully understand our briefings and are always open to feedback, something that we don’t always see with creative agencies. Their willingness to improve is important to us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

With time, they might need a bigger team.

Our company is 20 years old so they did like a facelift on our logo and created a new design route to apply in all of our packagings. When we moved to a new location they implemented interior design according to the new design. They used branding tools.

We started working together six years ago. Every time something brand-related comes up we consult them.

The results have been great. We were able to refresh the brand and it became stronger. Prior to this, our branding was very old school, but we've reinvented ourselves with them.

We're perfectionists and creative. Therefore, we put great importance on what they do. Having other creative people that actually listen and are open-minded is a great thing to have. It is hard to achieve that chemistry and work well.

I’m a former partner and head of research at a global firm that provides c-suite level search and leadership recruitment services. It has offices all over the world, including Europe, Latin America, and the US. I was based in the Panama City office.

What challenge were you trying to address with Kiosco Creativo?

During the holidays, we wanted to give our clients a meaningful present that related to our professional area. We also wanted to promote our firm as a socially responsible company with a coherent strategy that was in line with our core business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

After discussing a few approaches with Kiosco Creativo, their team came up with the idea of a corporate social responsibility (CSR) project. We decided to support a foundation for single mothers that provides them professional and software training, which gives them access to more work opportunities.

The team at Kiosco Creativo designed, developed, and managed the CSR campaign. They partnered with the beneficiary NGO, contacted third-parties like the printing company, and created all of the related marketing materials.

We worked with Carla (Creative Director, Kiosco Creativo) and her team.

How did you come to work with Kiosco Creativo?

We were looking for an inexpensive boutique agency that shared our values. We found Kiosco Creativo to be the right partner because of their willingness to get involved.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Kiosco Creativo in late 2015.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The campaign was delivered just in time for the holidays. We received numerous congratulatory messages from clients that said it created value for their brands. It supported their social responsibility strategies and provided them with promotional materials. Through this campaign, we sponsored 100 scholarships for women education and training in the name of our clients and partners.

The project reached over 100 individuals within 75 organizations. During the first two weeks, 20% of the recipients finalized their donations, enhancing their own CSR images. Other firms have tried to emulate the innovative campaign that Kiosco Creativo started. Some have also contacted the NGO directly, offering additional support.

The campaign has had a long-term impact, being shared internationally as a great initiative. We shared the satisfaction of having invested our marketing and corporate holiday gifts’ budget with a compassionate mission that created an invaluable impact.

How did Kiosco Creativo perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication was very effective. The manager was able to grasp our ideas quickly, knowing exactly what we were trying to accomplish. She was open to all different types of requests, as well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

During the collaboration, the professional team at Kiosco Creativo was open to innovative approaches. The manager delivered what we asked for while making additional recommendations. She was flexible and willing to go the extra mile.
