I am the the President of a corporate event audiovisual technical services provider. We provide audiovisual equipment, technical labor and production services for live events for our corporate clients.
For what projects/services did your company hire King Willy?
Website development. Our website was in need of significant redesign/updating.
What were your goals for this project?
We needed our website to:
- Capture more of our key messages and what differentiates us from our competition
- Contained elements that would create calls to action for traffic that accessed our site
- Site needs to be SEO and CMS designed
- Designed to work across mobile, tablet and laptop devices
- Visually appealing
- Easy to navigate
- Website metrics
- Initially designed for pull-through instead of being lead generating site.
How did you select King Willy?
King Willy was one of four companies we had identified to ask for a proposal. The companies were asked to develop a web map of the proposed structure with creative design elements outlined.
Through the process, King Willy was able to demonstrate that they understood our business, differentiation and messaging needs better than the others and had more creative solutions.
Describe the project in detail.
We had information discovery sessions with each supplier where we shared our history, key messages and differentiators, target customer base and overall design feel that we were trying to capture.
The suppliers were then asked to provide a site map and design elements at which time we narrowed the list down to two providers. These two providers were asked to draft a mock web map and more refined design.
What was the team composition?
The team included Adam Sparrey, the overall project lead who also handled the front-end design and a back-end development team.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We initially set out to design the site to be a pull through mechanism with large corporate contacts that we had been asked to participate in RFPs. We wanted the site to be a way to solidify the key messages that we had communicated during in-person capabilities meetings or through requests for proposal.
We did not want a random lead generating website that anyone who searched for an audiovisual supplier would come up with our name. Our core business was suppling a smaller number of large corporate clients who we created long-term business relationships with.
We did not want "one-off" projects as it would detract from our ability to provide these core clients with superior service and value. The website design was very effective as a pull-through tool with these in-person events.
The site conveyed our key messages and provided an excellent way to confirm that the company was professional, dedicated, enduring and value driven.
When we decided to expand to a larger pool of potential clients, King WIlly's recommendation lead to a very rapid influx of new client leads and contacts. We were contacted almost immediately after some site "call to action" features were added.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Adam was always accessible and responsive to our questions and concerns. He clearly defined the milestones and communicated those regularly through the SOW document and project updates.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Adam has a very kind and approachable demeanor. He also has an incredible ability to really understand your business and focus on the key things that would be required to communicate your keys messages and differentiators.
He did convince us of the need to be more optimized of search engines, even though we initially felt that it was outside of our company mission - in tight with a small number of very large clients.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Adam could be a little more assertive in putting forth recommendations that he feels strongly about. This is probably on us but we could have saved some time if he presented some of his ideas (that we ultimately went with) more aggressively at the onset of the proposal.

For what projects/services did your company hire King Willy?
We hired King Willy to help us bring our Social media accounts and website a complete remodel and to bring them into the 21st century. We wanted to use a company that we knew would be excellent at creating amazing visuals for Instagram, Facebook and our website whether that be photography or video.
What were your goals for this project?
Our main goal was to reach as many people as possible that we hadn’t reached already. Also to keep the people who enjoy our business informed with what’s going on everyday.
We also wanted to make our social media and website more visually appealing and easy to use especially the website. This is just the tip of the iceberg as to what King Willy does for us.
Recreating and redesigning our menu to make it look fresh and more appealing for our customers is just another example of the work King Willy does. As well as creating visual designs for t-shirts so we can sell them, Table tent design for our restaurant, advertising products we sell, and helping us with online advertising and website maintenance.
This is just a fraction of the work King Willy does.

Choosing Killy Willy was easy, after looking at their portfolio of work it was a no brainer to hire them to work with us. I can’t imagine another company doing what they do.

Photography and video production for marketing and advertising. Logo design. Website design. Menu Design. Graphic design for Clothing. Maintenance of website and continuous up keep of site.
What was the team composition?
I’ve worked closely with many members of King Willy. Everyone I worked with was extremely helpful and understanding of what was needed and wanted from us. Their ability to create creative designs for us has propelled our business further than I could have imagined.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our customers are better informed of what we provide and just have a better knowledge of our business. For me personally the biggest success would be the difference in social media posts and website content since hiring King Willy the quality of content is amazing.
Our social media and website isn’t like any other restaurant the quality is outstanding. We also have made massive progress reaching more people with online marketing and advertising.
And probably most importantly from a financial standpoint Would be the increase in revenue for example from online takeout order sales that King Willy help set up and from customers hearing about us through advertising on social media platforms.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Workflow has always being effective between our company and King Willy. There has never been a problem working effectively with King Willy they are wonderful to work it.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The companies ability to produce amazing visuals, the standard of video production and photography for our website and social media is the best I have seen anywhere.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Personally I don’t think so. King Willy has never disappointed me with their quality of work. I’m extremely happy with them and I hope to work with them long into the future.
