For what projects/services did your company hire King Kong?
We hired King Kong to run Google Adwords for us, create a funnel, and direct qualified leads to this funnel.
What were your goals for this project?
The goals for the project were for King Kong to run Google Ads, and provide qualified leads to the funnel. Our sales reps would get on calls with these leads and enroll them into our coaching program. The final goal was to increase the revenue of our company.
How did you select King Kong?
We selected KingKong based on applying lessons taught by their founder, Sabri Suby. When these concepts worked for our business, we watched several review videos and perused other reviews online. We then got on a strategy session with one of their sales reps and after the rep had sufficiently answered our questions, we signed up for their service.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
This project began with: Creating a Google Adwords Account. Getting information from us on our target demographic so as to create copy for ads. Creating Landing Pages and Sales pages for a Lead magnet. Running Ads to these pages. The quality of leads would then be analyzed and adjustments made to the ads to attract more qualified leads.
What was the team composition?
We were never informed of how many team members were involved from the vendor's end. Over the course of our two-year engagement, we were assigned, three Account Managers.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Unfortunately, I can't. The results of this project fell well below expectations. While King Kong did indeed deliver leads, none of the leads were qualified. Over time, it became apparent that those involved with the project were unable to deliver
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
At first, communication was fast and efficient. However, over time, there was a break down in expectations and project management. We had to reach out several times to get responses to the progress of several projects. Communication was mainly via email.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The marketing know-how of the principal was quite impressive. The company practices what it preaches- not necessarily to its clients, but to itself.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Clearly stating expectations especially when working with a niche that they are not familiar with. Better responses to concerns by clients on delivery. The vendor has a tendency to get defensive when it comes to delivery as opposed to getting feedback from the client.
