Karen came on site here at our office, set up for the shots were very fast and also professional. The whole day ran smoothly without hitch, she was very well taken by our executive team. She also was very good at coaching them for shots she needed. Lastly, the turnaround is always important. We shot on Thursday and i had the shots back edited by Monday morning which is unheard of but greatly appreciated ! We are already planning to bring her back for more headshots.

Karen's communication throughout the whole process from start to finish was always great. if I had any questions or concerns she was always available to answer for me. It made the whole process less stressful.

The best part is it was just her and not an entire team unless that's what you needed (makeup, photo coaching etc.) and she definitely let me know all of the options and was very knowledgeable about photography. another wonderful part is that after she shot the photos my team was able to actually go over what she shot and choose the photos they liked themselves, and if they didn't like them she would shoot again, this was the BEST part.

I had nothing to say negative about the whole experience. she was prepared with batteries, lighting, cameras and everything she needed before she arrived.

I’m the director of business development at a general contracting company. We handle different projects like roofing, siding, painting, and more. Anything dealing with exteriors, we handle.

What challenge were you trying to address with Karen L Richard Photography?
We wanted to bring cohesiveness to our brand by having images of our employees and our team as part of our marketing efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?
We told Karen (Owner) that we wanted headshots of each employee for our social media accounts and our email pictures. Karen pretty much ran the project from there; she took it upon herself to do industry research to see what other competitors in our area were doing and advise us on best practices. Then, she took photos of the team.
She gave a bunch of good suggestions on things that we could do moving forward, like how we can maximize branding through her services. She also provided photos of the entire team together in different formats, so we were able to use them for things like Christmas cards.
We made an arrangement so if we have new employees that we add to the team, we're going to send them to her and she's going to photograph them with consistent headshot formatting.

I found Karen on the Nextdoor application. I was looking for somebody who did corporate branding photography, and her name came up. I reached out to her and we had an initial meeting. From there, we were able to set up a time for the whole team to go to her studio.

We invested somewhere around $1,600 for the headshots.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working in September 2020, and it’s ongoing. We also discussed maybe doing some environmental shots with clients and other services in the future.

We work in an industry where it's really hard to put faces to the service we provide, and we wanted to bring that human component to our brand. We’re a small business, and thanks to the work of Karen, we have the right presence on social media for each of our team members. It has been huge for us to have it. Our employees go to people's homes, and we want the clients to feel good about who they're working with. From that standpoint, it's been very valuable.

Karen has been very easy to reach. We can text, email, or call her. She's always accessible and very responsive. I can expect to get a response from her the same day.
