BACKGROUND

Please describe your organization.

Webtrack is a Web and mobile application development firm.  We are really just a Web development firm, but we work together with KangaCoders for our mobile app development. We are located near Antwerp. We are a small firm – five people. We work with bigger clients in Belgium – governmental or cities.

What is your role and responsibilities?

I'm the digital project manager and CEO.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What was your goal for working with KangaCoders?

We did a few projects with them. The biggest is Showbase, which is a startup that we created together with them. They're the shareholder of this startup. It's a cloud platform for creating event mobile applications. It's really an automated platform for creating event applications. If you're having a big festival or speaker event, you can log in and build your own mobile app, and then we publish it to the app stores.

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their work.

It was mobile app development. The API [application programming interface] with their cloud services. That's messaging and analytics. We use them to push the mobile apps that were built with the mobile platform to the app stores.

What was your process for selecting KangaCoders?

They're not only mobile developers, but they provide their own services also. That's more interesting to work with. If they just use other software to plug into the app then we are dependent on that other software. Instead, they do it all themselves. We can rely on that. It's also much quicker and easier to plug it in.

Can you give a sense of the size of the initiative?

We've worked for two years. They co-created this startup. It would be about $50,000.

When was the work completed?

It's ongoing. We still request new features for them to implement. It started in January of 2014.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Do you have any statistics or metrics on the project?

The results are very good. We are now well known in our country for the applications that we built with the platform. We're now focusing on Europe. The quality of the results were great.

Are you satisfied with their performance?

We are very satisfied.

What differentiates KangaCoders from other partners?

What KangaCoders does requires a lot of different skills and different knowledge. It's powerful and unique that it's a one-stop shop for all those things. I almost didn't believe that they do all that themselves. Another strength is that they provide analytics. For all the applications they make, they gather a lot of analytics to provide to the customer – really valuable data and nice graphics. I was really impressed by that. It's not easy to get official downloads and use analytics off your mobile applications.

Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or that you might do differently?

Not really. We are quite pleased with their work.
