I'm the Co-founder of a children's clothing brand selling DTC direct to consumer online.

We needed a digital marketing agency to develop the strategy and execute our social media advertising. By doing this, we hoped to drive more sales for our products and scale our brand.

How did you select K6 Agency and what were the deciding factors?

We searched for digital marketing agencies that had experience with brands selling consumer products. After talking with multiple agencies, we chose K6 because we felt they best understood what we were trying to achieve, had the experience, and were focused on getting the job done efficiently without extra overhead that larger agencies were proposing. We felt a good fit going with K6.

Initial onboarding to align with Brand Goals, strategy session to agree on approach, then weekly calls to discuss outcomes and ongoing execution planning.

We worked with the main ad buyer and lead 100% of the time, which was great. It made us feel comfortable that we didn't get handed off to a less experienced team member to run our ads.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Ads really expanded our brand recognition, reach, and sales. Considering challenges posed by iOS14 updates to all social media ads on facebook + IG, (which was not the fault of the agency), we did fairly well.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had virtual zoom meetings weekly to review campaigns, performance, and strategy. We utilized slack on a daily basis for communication. K6 was always responsive and attentive to our needs.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

K6 Agency constantly provides innovative ideas and suggestions to improve performance. They have been great partners and fun to work with. They care and listen and we didn't feel like just another client on the roster. We worked together well.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They did a great job given the increased challenges in the ad space. We have been happy working with K6!

I searched online and conducted an interview, selecting K9 based on Aristide's experience with ecommerce and proposal.

I originally worked with their copywriter, graphic designer, and media buyer, but shifted to a consulting relationship in order to have more agility and control over the work.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Before, I was making less than 1K/month in revenue. Now I'm making 5K/month consistently and continuing ad testing in order to grow. I learned a lot of valuable information on strategy and tactics on how to create campaigns.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

W've been having weekly calls and chat over slack. Communication was quick.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have broad and deep experience in digital marketing, including fashion e-commerce. He's built his own business and is able to share alot of wisdom. Whether you need help with broader strategy or very technical questions, I recommend Aristide, especially if you are a newer business owner trying to take your business from 0 to 6 figures.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Aristide is very knowledgeable and very experienced, while his team at the time was more junior, resulting in communication gaps. However, he quickly took my feedback and implemented processes to better organize communication and management of the work.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner and president of an e-commerce site called LuvHook.com. We manufacture bracelets with a theme. Depending on which way our consumers wear the bracelets, people around them can know if they’re either single, in a relationship, in love, or waiting for it.

What challenge were you trying to address with K6?

As with any e-commerce, we needed people to be aware of our brand and what our product meant. We’ve been trademarking our brand in the US and Canada, and we needed to drive traffic to the website in order to have more transactions and purchases.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

K6 has been helping us with our digital marketing. They do SEO work, web design, Google Ads, and other digital marketing efforts in a space that I'm not familiar with.

They’re also very aggressive and good in driving traffic to the site using social media marketing like Facebook ads and Instagram positioning. I tried working with them on keyword research, but I was so busy that I ended up trusting them and leaving it all in their hands.

What is the team composition?

At first, I was introduced to the ownership structure of K6, including Aristide (Founder).

How did you come to work with K6?

I was in talks with a couple of companies already, and K6 reached out to me through LinkedIn within that week. The timing was perfect for me to make a decision on where to go.

I listened to all the companies and looked at their quotations, ideas, and how centric they were, and I chose to go with K6. We communicated back and forth, and they gave me a proposal.

We exchanged a lot of ideas, and Aristide was really patient and asked really smart questions that I didn’t ask myself. That enabled him to guide us where we wanted to go with the type of advertising that we wanted to do.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $25,000–$30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around October 2020, and the engagement is ongoing. In the beginning, I gave them the expectations I had, and we got closer and closer to them — now, we’re on target.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I receive a lot of data — which I really appreciate — and follow our Google Analytics. I also look at my website, and the measurement that sticks out is our revenue. K6’s work has transpired in that we’ve got a tremendous amount of traffic to our website, and people have purchased our products — I’m happy with the results.

I measure the results by comparing the revenue we’re getting versus the investment we're making. When working with an agency, they receive the money upfront. Their work is already profitable for them regardless of whether if it’s working for their clients or not. For me, to be successful is measuring what my RoI is, and how long it takes to get there. That’s why I expect things to happen really quickly, but I also understand that investment needs capital put in to get the results I want.

My measurement stick is the units I sell per month. K6 agreed on those numbers, which are their target. We’re now going in the same direction and hitting the target — I see them as a vital asset to my company.

How did K6 perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very transparent and upfront in delivering information that I don’t even ask for. They’ve given the extra and respected the deadlines. I have a Gantt chart shared with them, which I really appreciate. On project management, they’ve been perfect. They’ve shared some tools with me, but I don’t remember the names.

What did you find most impressive about them?

K6's most impressive qualities are their due diligence and detail. Their follow-ups are also great. Data management has been important, too. We’ve moved forward quickly and taken mutual decisions based on that data.

Their advice and expertise on where we should go to continue have been helpful. I appreciate the dialog that we have; they haven't been just grabbing a check and saying thanks — there’s a tremendous amount of communication, and that’s the best.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was a couple of graphic advertising assets that I didn’t like and weren't passed through me — I caught them on that. However, I just told them to let me approve them first, and the issue was corrected quickly.

Other than that little hiccup that happened, I’m delighted with K6’s work, and I can’t find an area of opportunity for them. Of course, I want things to happen quickly, but I also understand the entrepreneurial space.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Trust the process, work with them, and let them do their job. K6 is diligent, respects your timelines, and their budget is fair. They perform well. When we started our brand, no one knew who we were, and now, we’re starting to catch up — I strongly recommend them.

We were referred to Aristide in the Ecom space & his agency K6.

We had a hole in ouradvertising options, an Ecom-focused paid media solution for a fashion brand. We have implemented K6 after interviewing several options and off we are on our paid media journey.

We are in their Slack channel, loads of support.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This space is filled with "oh I can do that guys" we have found with Aristides' reputation and team, that they are getting work done for us, they are great. We are realistic and want to build brands from the ground up | he is very professional, very knowledgable and we are seeing results and amazing metrics of success. Thank you!

In Slack community, very responsive from several people in there.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think this is a team of actual employees, which is very impressive in today's freelancing world. The buy-in from K6 is sizable.

This is an ongoing project / relationship... no issues to speak of.
