After receiving the screen designs, Jutso adapted them for WordPress including homepage, four subsites, FAQs, blog and multiple blog posts. Jutso also researched, recommended and consulted on the possible incorporation of an AI-bot in the website.

Jutso was incredibly quick to respond (and solve) to questions and issues. They were very flexible and understanding when we had to postpone ging live due to client's wishes/concerns. They also showed great patience when it came to changes, feedback and questions. One small hiccup: Despite providing a briefing doc which included custom programming as a requirement, this was later a point of debate. However, communication about the time line was evry transparent and the offer/quote very detailed and thorough.

We needed a website for the first edition of an environmental film festival. At a workshop, we explained the concept of the festival to jut-so and told them what we wanted the website to be able to do. They then presented us with two designs so that we could choose one. The website was launched twice, once as a short version and a few months later as the full version.

Based on our old website, jut-so developed a new design and a new Wordpress website for Circularity e.V. jut-so did also implement custom design features based on our requests. They also provided us with some additional ideas for our brand based on an intial workshop.

Jut-so developed a new website for us, allowing us to make own changes as well as creating own landing pages based on their work. They helped us drive engagement, e.g. newsletter sign-ups, general seo optimization and provided analytics.

The team was very responsive and easy to reach. We had several in-person and online meetings, allowing us to be fully involved in the process. Even with us only working part-time, they found time to finalise the project. Overall, the communication was professional, fast and solution-driven.

They have an international and cross-cultural team, but always on the same level, and access to information about the projects.

Are there any areas for improvement or something jut-so could have done differently?

Over time, project management and workflow changed within the company. Due to this, the processes /tasks needed to be adapted and planned more in advance for us. Unfortunately, there was no clear communication of this switch, or I missed it. 
In general, knowing when to receive the work is good for the agency's overall planning and capacity management. On the other hand, for us as a smaller company with fast and ad-hoc changing needs, it is sometimes difficult to handle, as I am one person in charge of all marketing-related tasks, and I can't make plans due to time limitations. 
Moreover, we agreed on a monthly based retainer which is perfect, but also that we can shift hours from months with less than 10 hours of work to others as we have months with a need of 4-6 hours and months with a need of 10-14hours. Due to my position, I can't plan every month beforehand or 2 or 3 months. In the end, this is not supported anymore, and we think about changing the contract and agreement.

We needed help with writing our website's copy. We were in the process of developing a new site and we didn't have any in-house marketing specialists.

jut-so did the copywriting of my site based on the information I gave them. We also worked closely with them on the SEO; we provided the first keyword analysis, and they added some of their own.

We were really happy with their work; we got a lot of calls two weeks after the website went live. Before, the copy was too short, and people didn't realize what we were doing — everything changed a lot after jut-so provided us with this service.

Project management was great; they were fast and responsive, which enabled them to finish in a few weeks. We used Jira, Figma, phone calls, and Microsoft Teams regarding tools and communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were reasonable with the price, and they provided a great service.

I don't think there's anything they can improve on.

Check their website first to see if their writing style fits your target group — if it fits your style, they are a great choice.

For what projects/services did your company hire jut-so, and what were your goals?

We hired jut-so to help us create our new corporate website after our rebrand. Our goals were to have a corporate website for our partners and talent, that would be aligned with our new Corporate identity and Tone of voice. We needed to implement it fast, so the page needed to be live in 3-4 months.

We delivered the initial design assets, and jut-so great designers and developers made it come alive via WordPress. They developed everything from sketch files, and also created new pages following our CI.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We worked with jut-so because they were very professional from the first meeting. They came prepared with a plan, asked the right questions, and seemed like a good team to collaborate with.

We had a first meeting to understand what were our goals, and what actually we needed to deliver from then. Then they created a very detailed project proposal based on this. We had a kick-off meeting between our designers and jut-so designers. We delivered the first sketch files and jut-so worked on bringing the first version to live.

We had feedback sessions, and then they developed the design on WordPress. The implemented the content we send them in English and german We had run-through sessions with all teams involved to be able to work on the content on the platform in the future. They launched the page They fixed bugs and issues after launch

I enjoyed working with Lorenz, a very capable person. My perception from the meeting we have, is that he knows how to guide the project forward, and puts the right people to get the job done.

When we were in the bug fixing phase, we had a bit of confusion about what was getting done and what was not. They had implemented a tool for us to check, but nothing seemed to move. However, we mentioned this, and then we changed the way of working to make it more transparent.

jut-so’s project management has been perfect — we have a clear idea of where we are throughout the process. Everything has been laid out on Miro, which we use to collaborate. We communicate through phone calls and emails, and contacting them is always easy — they’re always there.

jut-so has many specialists, and each one of them is dedicated to what they’re doing. They constantly provide feedback about improving the site, such as using shorter texts to make the platform readable and exciting. 

I love jut-so’s commitment to the project and high level of expertise. In addition, I appreciate the openness of our teams in terms of communication and feedback. jut-so isn’t afraid to let us know if we have bad ideas — I feel assured that I’m working with experts.

Check the fit between your teams. If you’re open to feedback and expert advice, then you should work with jut-so. However, if you’re sensitive and closed-minded, they won’t be a good fit.

This project was very important for us because we didn’t have a corporate identity, design, or website. We went from zero to a hundred after what jut-so did for us. We now have an image and a website that reflects who we are, what we want to achieve, and where we want to go.

Their project management is extremely good. We used Asana as a project management tool to develop our website. From the beginning, we’ve had a very clear view of every step of the project, and every step has been clearly defined and documented.

What did you find most impressive about them?

jut-so reacts quickly when needed. We’re also impressed with their ability to tailor one-stop solutions to our needs. It’s great to find everything we need in a single company because it makes the process faster and easier. Also, it’s very easy to talk to them, which is amazing because I value being able to share my ideas, questions, and being guided by them in the process.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could create content for social media campaigns. We would’ve liked it if they had offered us this service as well.

jut-so developed our WordPress website and landing page in collaboration with an Estonian design company. jut-so received all the frontend elements for the website, but they were given the graphic design in PDF form for the landing page, so they had to code it themselves.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them around August 2020, and our relationship is ongoing. We’re planning to build an e-commerce platform with them in 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

jut-so is a startup as well, so they were really responsive and understood our needs. The communication was very good, the implementation of the website was accurate, and they had a good price. jut-so is a good match for us, and we couldn’t imagine working with anyone else.

How did jut-so perform from a project management standpoint?

It was beneficial that they could work with a company outside of Germany. We could communicate via WhatsApp and other channels. We also liked having a single point of contact so communication was more streamlined. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The landing page project was unplanned, and I asked them to do it on short notice. They managed to implement the landing page in just two days. It was critical for us, and we weren’t their biggest client, but they accommodated us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have no criticisms. For our budget and needs, and given what jut-so did for us, the collaboration was great.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I don’t know whether or not it’s because they were referred to us, but the process was very easy in this case. Working on creative projects can be difficult because it’s more subjective. However, we were really happy with jut-so. I recommend maintaining a clear, centralized communication system.
