Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-founder and CEO of an online mortgage company. We service clients across Canada. Our objective is to find and convert people to purchase mortgage products directly on our online platform. The service is assisted with advisors so they can have access to real humans on the phone. 


What challenge were you trying to address with Jungle Media?

We needed help with media planning and buying. We wanted to cut down our cost-per-customer acquisition.


What was the scope of their involvement?

We work with them to find the right marketing approach on our different channels. Then, we decide to invest more heavily in some of the channels than others. It was always with a pretty small budget, which was challenging.

We tried different channels such as Google, Facebook, and more. The objective was to test first and then analyze the results. We always looked at it from a true sales perspective.

Their mandate was to manage the campaigns, build the right audience with our team (making sure we were leveraging all the tools), and create the right feedback loop so we could remain aware of updates in real-time.

They interacted with our internal teams to build on the research that was already made. We’ve done some testing with radio spots in certain cities. We performed tests in different markets to understand what the impact was of certain mixed marketing approaches. 

What is the team composition?

There was a team lead and a client manager. We interacted with 3 to 4 people.

How did you come to work with Jungle Media?

I was biased because I came from a sister agency of Jungle Media. In my previous work. I knew them quite well.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested $70,000 Canadian dollars (approximately $52,600 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September of 2018, and the work is ongoing.


What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They were great. We really see them as an extension of our marketing team. Due to the work we’ve done with them over the past year, we cut our cost acquisition of a customer by 4x.

How did Jungle Media perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a simple approach to working together. There’s an open line of communication between the people working on the account and our team. 

They exchange information with us on an almost daily basis. We have a sync meeting that we do on a weekly basis where we follow-up. They send us the results and then we discuss what will be coming the following week.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They do what needs to be done in order for us to achieve our goals. They’re willing to test even crazy things if we want. They truly understand our business objectives and are willing to work with smaller budgets if needed. They’re very collaborative, and I like working with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be a little bit more proactive, but we’re asking so many different things that they probably don’t have that chance.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Future customers should be as transparent as possible to get the most out of the partnership.
