Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the President of PennAI which is an AI driven productivity platform currently available as an app in the Google and Apple stores to record, transcribe and summarize your voice conversations in real-time! With PennAI you can live record and transcribe your meetings, interviews, podcasts, lectures then custom summarize your voice conversations into actionable, searchable and shareable notes.
For what projects/services did your company hire JumpGrowth, and what were your goals?
PennAI is a startup. We have leveraged JumpGrowth since inception to develop and prepare the app for release to our customers via the app stores.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I came to know about JumpGrowth through Cofounderlab in 2019. The key factor for me during the selection process was the level of trust developed in the very early discussions.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
JumpGrowth took the project through the entire software development life cycle. The app features several integrations including AI and calendar, push notification and workflow automation just to name a few.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The team varies depending on the assignment but we always had a dedicated Project Manager, Developer and QA lead.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We were able to successfully launch as scheduled and made enhancements to the app in subsequent releases.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Communication is one of their strengths. They are always readily available on Slack. Our weekly meetings as needed were conducted via Teams.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
For me it was most certainly their communication, responsiveness, and flexibility that stood out. There was no language barriers and when you are startup trying to work to keep your cost low, the last thing you need is miscommunication to cloud or delay progress.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I would prefer to be given more suggestions on approach to meet the stated requirements without compromising cost as I am not always able to think through every possible use case but at least what I need accomplished is always understood.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CEO of Cyber Resonance and we devise advanced software algorithms that automate the audio engineering workflow.
For what projects/services did your company hire JumpGrowth, and what were your goals?
We needed to take our legacy product, use that as a base and have the necessary development done to satisfy the needs of our new product (ESION) and take that live in production.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
OTS contacted me via email and after the intro meetings we felt comfortable moving forward with the design/dev/testing phases
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Modify the existing platform to meet the needs of our ESION product. This involved API's, database, AWS auto-scaling and web-app development.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
4 people from OTS worked with us. Resource manager, project manager, development and Architecture.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
While the project went longer than planned that was because we had to extend the requirements and deliverables. OTS stepped up and worked very hard to make all the necessary changes.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The PM's report progress and status in a timely fashion. The PM also follows thru with requests for status and helps me feel comfort in the progress.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The developer took ownership in the projects success and many times worked extra hours and even weekends to insure deadlines were met. The architect's knowledge has been very impressive and wide ranging. In addition, the management performed periodic check-ins with us and resolved problems in a timely fashion.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
The one area of the project that needed improvement was in the project management area. However, OTS realized this, performed an internal review and assigned another PM to the project. The new PM has been so much better. Communication has improved dramatically.

Nonprofit focused on Climate Crisis awareness and empower individuals to see their role in ending the crisis. I am the CTO - focused on their software platform with a mobile app and user engagement features.
For what projects/services did your company hire JumpGrowth, and what were your goals?
Major app update involving videos, customer engagement features, friends groups, and daily carbon tracking
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Their ability to understand the full problem, and respond with state of the art technologies tools and libraries. Rich technical skills that can deal with the many different technologies involved. Not just good programmers, but also a good management team to supervise the programmers. Also, strong skills in the privacy and security areas that were important to our project.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Multiple iterations on the project spec and scope. I would provide high level requirements and they would respond with more detailed technical approaches. We designed a set of sprints and set of features to be addressed in each sprint. They were thorough in delivery of test scripts and multiple device testing (an issue in the Android world). They were expert on libraries and frameworks that allowed us to deliver on both iOS and Android at the same time.
They were also strong with the backend database the tracked and managed user relationships and user carbon reduction activities. They were also strong in helping us set up the management tools so that a non-programmer can use a web page to create user actions and user daily reminders. Our Admin is able to manage the actual content presented to users inside the app. This is all done using the Admin website they created.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Sr Management of all development activity Project Manager Sys Admin Mobile user interface expert Mobile app core expert Middle tier app/database admin tool expert
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
App is beautiful and well received. App delivered on time (within margins agreed to) and in budget Features work together well Significantly stronger user experience
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
2-3 meetings per week with me (besides their daily standups). Delivery of new prototypes every 1-2 weeks. Generally on time and fully in communication about delays or roadblocks encountered
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Very strong management team in the day-to-day work. Definitely got the work done or let me know when there was an issue or breakdown. Reliably solved problems quickly with a conversation, rather than a drawn out confusing situation.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
They were totally great. No complaints.
