Initially to assist with a software upgrade to our existing operating system that had sat idle for about 2 years. Subsequently they have been retained for ongoing code upgrades

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Found out about them online and after investigating they seemed like a solid team and we decided to give them an opportunity

We outlined the project we needed done, they provided an estimate on resources needed and cost and we moved forward with the project. Most of the subsequent work was done on a time and materials basis. We currently have a developer that is working under a monthly rate structure.

A number of them over time. Rahul as team lead, and others as developers. Each had different skill sets but performed their work well

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Just that the work they have done has performed as expected

WE had a coordinator on our side that communicates with them on a daily basis using Slack.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are always willing to step up to the plate to provide resources where and when we need them. Wonderful group of people to work with

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Sometimes it took a couple of explanations to get started on projects and you need to make sure you lay out the technical side of expectations. That comes from feedback from our internal IT.team.

How did you select this vendor?

We found Juego through an explicit search engine browse. We went through the reviews and feedbacks of valuable customers before we decided to go with them. After connecting for the very first time, wewould realise they have a team that does work, out of passion and it shows.Going through their website we could understand the standard of work they deliver and thus we decided to give it a go. This was our first experience with the company.

Juego studion provides, Apps development, game development, ar & vr apps development, web based services.

What was the team composition?

1 project manager, 1 technical architect, 2 developers, 2 designers. 1 tester.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The application was used for marketing purpose & we had better result with our sales.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We had a dedicated project manager assigned and it went smooth.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The overall support & constant communication with the team was more impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement?

What we would be suggesting is that they can work a little on their engineering skills. Though the end result was beyond our expectations, it took them some time to work around the engineering part of the project. Although the project took time, we knew we were working with the best.

Could you provide a bit of background about  your company?

We are a holding company that develops apps, web apps and mobile apps. Some of our applications are mobile-based; we don't have any in-house expertise, so we outsource the development.

What was your process for discovering and choosing Juego Studios to work with?

When we found Juego, they were actually not Juego. They were working as a team at a larger software house in India. We worked with them on two longer term projects, two games that took a total development period of around 10 months. During this period, they finished the games for us, bumped themselves out of the company, and created Juego. That's how we got to know them.

SOLUTION

Could you tell me a little more about the typical scope of the project with them?

Right from concept, design to the architecture behind the game, all the way to the coding, animation, and sourcing of the sound files and the background music, all the way to the game testing and the final curation, until the product is ready to be uploaded to the app store. That was the scope of the whole project. There was a little bit of after-service, after it was launched from the support side, to take care of – if we had queries from our customers.

How long ago was the most recent project completed?

About three months ago.

Can you provide a general estimate for the project?

It was two projects. One was about $40,000, and the other was $25,000.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

How happy are you with the results of what they’ve delivered?

I think on a scale of one to ten, I would say eight. The boutique has obviously gone a long way in the last three or four months since they spun out. Since they've spun out and created Juego, they've actually invested in R&D and better technical people, so I think they're a better team now than they were last year when we worked with them.

When working with them, is there anything that you find to be unique compared to other developers that you’ve worked with?

I think the quality of the output really stands out. Typically, if you look at outsourcing of software programs to India, the sacrifice that one has to make normally is in the quality of the product, the output. The second sacrifice one has to make is communication with the team. The English level is not that good and as a result, because of the time zone differential and the language differential, you get a lot of things that are lost in translation. With Juego, they're actually very well spoken, very worldly managers there. They are young and they grew up watching Hollywood movies and so on, so it's kind of working with a more local team. You don't feel like you're dealing with an Indian team. The quality of the output is much better than other software houses that we've dealt with in India.

Is there anything that you would do differently a second time around or you think that they could improve upon?

I would say testing. This is something that we're very big on as a house here in London, so for us it's all about quality. What we asked them to do, when they eventually spun out into Juego, was to hire some testers, so now they have a testing team in place. I think that's one thing that they could have done better, because we had to do a lot of that last year ourselves; they learned a lot from us. As a result, they've come a long way and now, I think they're very good at testing themselves.

We hired Juego Studios to help us create a GDD for a Checkers game for a feasibility study.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I Found Juego Studios after doing several internet searches, looking at reviews, and several interviews. We were impressed with the example games they displayed on their website. This was the main deciding factor in our deciding to engage with them.

We were analyzing the possibility of creating an online player v player checker game with a waiting room and betting structure using HTML-5.

For our prototyping phase, we worked with 6 people, 1 account manager, 3 developers, 1 UI/UX, 1 designer

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

A complete GDD and Feasibility study were completed for a software development project

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I think Juego's work process and project management skills were quite impressive. They were very client-focused and wanted to understand the project and its requirements quite well. They were very attentive to follow through and making sure they could meet deadlines.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their professionalism, expertise, and enthusiasm to work with us were notable. Juego's very project management process and desire to get to us made them great to work with.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Having a well-developed process was good at ensuring the process, but it also meant we were sometimes hindered from moving forward in what we perceived as a timely manner.

As the application was developed for training purpose the technicians had a hands on experience even before getting onto the field.

We had regular communication and visit by the implementation team at the end of the project

We were impressed by their requirement gathering, documentation, and timely execution.
