Atelier LKS, RISBDC, KNEAD Doughnuts, Jo's American Bistro, Dan Cox & Associates, Flourish Beauty Lab
Flourish Beauty Lab, a Vermont-based maker of hair and skin care formulas that are safe for those with allergies, sensitivities, and delicate skin, had a strong, loyal customer base. With revenue streams impacted by COVID-19, the owner wanted to strengthen online sales and better position the brand to connect with current and future customers.
First, we developed a Content Marketing Plan with an expert roadmap that broke down how to use content marketing to acquire new customers so that efforts support their ambitious sales goal.
Second, we created a compelling “Our Story” page that beautifully tells the brand’s story in a way that deepens relationships with existing customers and builds trust with new customers. Now, the page functions as a “one-pager” for new customers, vendors, wholesale accounts, and other partners to appreciate the “why” behind Flourish, compelling followers to become advocates.
Perhaps the best kept secret resource for small business owners in the Ocean State, the Rhode Island Small Business Development Center wanted to attract a wider audience of entrepreneurs to take advantage of its no cost services.
We dove deep into the RISBDC’s business model to identify potential clients bases, and created a custom marketing strategy across the web and social media to target and engage small business owners and entrepreneurs. Our marketing plan included a Facebook relaunch, monthly blog posts, managed social media ad spending, communications, professional photography, and a website revamp.
While their business model and offerings were already strong, our marketing approach created a polished, professional brand image. Consistent messaging, social media presence, and improved website usability opened the ability for potential clients to quickly see — and access! — the RISBDC’s great services.
Jo’s American Bistro, a thriving American restaurant in downtown Newport, RI, wanted to strengthen its online presence to drive foot traffic. Social media platforms had been established but needed updating and optimizing. Their website also needed a few quick tweaks to boost SEO and user experience.
We researched the brand’s existing online presence and pinpointed what was working and where there was room for growth as part of an online marketing strategy with the specific goal of driving foot traffic to the restaurant.
We created a social media strategy for Facebook that leveraged the client’s long history in the restaurant business with the elements of her restaurant that would play well on social media. We claimed and boosted several online listing and review sites, including Tripadvisor, The Knot, OpenTable, Yellow Pages, Yelp, G+ (Google My Business), and others.
Also, we analyzed client’s major customer demographics and identified distinct client groups, enabling targeted social media content. We also identified the need for professional photography, managed the RFP (request for proposal) process, worked with the photographer, and curated the resulting photos so the client has a deep portfolio to show off their food and atmosphere.
KNEAD Doughnuts, a gourmet doughnut shop in Providence, RI, had recently opened their second location and wanted to expand their brand’s presence online and offline. Their second location allowed them to host private events, offer a family-friendly children’s play area, and sell more doughnuts than ever before. KNEAD’s social media accounts were performing well organically, but there was room for paid advertising to amplify their results and drive leads. Offline, we saw an opportunity for media campaigns to spread the word about their business expansion.
We crafted multiple press releases promoting KNEAD’s top news and leveraged our extensive media list to target local and regional publications for the highest possible impact. Our media campaigns led to a steady stream of positive news.
Our social media ads promoted doughnut delivery, private events, children’s birthday parties, and seasonal promotions. We continuously optimized the client’s campaigns via website tracking and data analysis to drive website traffic, sales, and leads.
Hot beverage spill burn expert Dan Cox & Associates sought out expert marketing support to reach four ambitious goals: increasing demand for his services as a consultant and expert witness for hot beverage spill lawsuits, speaking at industry conferences, increasing sales of a hot beverage safety training poster, and licensing a unique caution label for to-go coffee cups. To make progress toward these goals, he needed to strengthen his messaging and increase visibility to multiple target audiences.
We created two new, professionally written, SEO-optimized web pages dedicated to individual services, and updated the messaging in the web store. Concurrently, we reviewed website analytics to update the layout and flow for site visitors to take action. We optimized the client’s website for SEO to increase traffic.
Once the website was updated, we initiated professionally written, monthly blog posts that position client as a subject matter expert. Fresh social media profiles, regular social media posting, and monthly email campaigns leveraged the blog posts and new web pages, increased visibility among target clients, and provided them with regular opportunities to reach out. Additional web traffic from these sources in turn contributes to client’s rising position in web search for targeted keywords.
Graphic Design agency Atelier LKS had already built a strong word-of-mouth business, but wanted to increase their web traffic and expand their visibility online. The client wanted to reduce any roadblocks users were experiencing on the site, increasing opportunities to convert website visitors to clients.
Our ace copywriters partnered with the owner to translate her deep design knowledge into regular, engaging blog content woven around key search terms. Consistent, quality posting increased her website’s visibility in web searches, and also reinforced her brand by establishing her as an expert in her field.
A few months after regular blog publishing began, we followed up with an Analytics Audit that revealed how much her web traffic had increased – by a whopping 95%. The audit also highlighted ways to enhance user experience and capture the audience arriving on blog pages. We restructured the navbar to reflect what web visitors were actually interested in and engaging with, and crafted stronger calls-to-action, which further encouraged blog post readers to stay on the site and explore longer. In circular fashion, the higher blog traffic that remains longer on the website will increase the client’s position in web searches.
