Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the executive director of the American Friends of Jamaica, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that’s headquartered in New York City. We’ve been in operation for over 37 years.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with JADIS Interactive Agency, LLC?

We have two significant galas each year: one in New York and another in Miami. JADIS Interactive Agency, LLC supports us in creating marketing graphics and materials for these events. In addition to our annual galas, Jarvis (Owner, JADIS Interactive Agency, LLC) has worked with us consistently for nine years on other marketing related assignments.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Jarvis handles all of the creative and design work for our events. He creates all of the marketing materials, including save-the-date cards, invitations, and sponsorship materials. He also interfaces with our web design team, providing design elements that they can synchronize with our website. After we send him a brief, Jarvis sets the template for the look and feel for all our events and marketing.

What is the team composition?

I work directly with Jarvis.

How did you come to work with JADIS Interactive Agency, LLC?

When I took the role here as executive director, I was told about Jarvis through a colleague. His design work was unique and cutting-edge. It had a new and modern look to it.

What is the status of this engagement?

For this specific project, we started working with JADIS Interactive Agency, LLC in May 2019. We’re wrapping up in October of this year.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Every single one of his designs has received rave reviews from our board and guests. Jarvis and his work stand out from all the rest. That’s why we keep using him.

When we submit briefs to him, we generally go along with the first proposal he sends to us. He gets the job done on the first try, which he has been consistent about for the past nine years.

How did JADIS Interactive Agency, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

I set the tone of each engagement, and Jarvis is my partner in that. I believe if people want to get things done right, they should work with a leader. He’s made himself frequently available to me. We’ve texted but mainly communicate through email. He’s extremely responsive. We’re all grateful for the experiences we’ve had with JADIS Interactive Agency, LLC.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Jarvis frequently presents and speaks about graphic work at conferences. Once, when we were in the midst of a project, we needed him. He found the time to call and help get everything moving along. While he may have passed it on to his team, he was still responsive despite his demanding schedule.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything that needs improvement.

Set out a clear brief. Jarvis can make it happen.
