They we're able to build landing pages quickly, maintain a clean code and help us by scaling our website in the most efficient way. As we developed a good relationship with the management team they also helped us with a few client projects successfully.

All of our client projects were developed successfully which allowed our client to increase their revenue and profits. The same applies to our consulting website. It's faster, more reliable and better after working with IvorySoft.

The project management is impressive. Delivers on time with daily updates. I have worked with many development firms in the past, and IvorySoft is the best by far. Ivorysoft was first brought on to help us get to launch after a few months of development work by another company. They found a number of issues with the prior work that required remediation and helped us make a case to the initial development team to stay engaged for two more months. Alongside that, the Ivorysoft team acted as technical stewards of our React Native codebase and transitioned into owning feature development after the prior team completed their engagement.

Some notable achievements included implementing highly performant animations for the core user experience, and custom graphic logic for displaying health biomarker data with accuracy & attention to detail. While delivering on time and to specification they also made an effort to improve our code quality by establishing better patterns and starting dialogue over best practices we should consider adopting.

Ivorysoft excelled at keeping us up to date on their availability and expected completion. Their communication through every project they took on was constant and unprompted, which made managing our other company projects alongside a breeze, knowing I could trust them to run with any project big or small. They made a point of clarifying unknowns or unclear expectations upfront, which helped ensure the end result was as expected, and often surpassing expectations.

The deep knowledge of the frameworks we used made it very easy to get them up to speed on existing areas of our codebase, and made them well equipped to troubleshoot tricky bugs and performance issues.

That deep technical knowledge, paired with a strong sense of project timelines and stakeholder communication made for an efficient and successful partnership. Add to that the fact that almost half of our engagement was overshadowed by an ongoing war in their country, makes what they were able to achieve truly impressive.

I'm a partner and head coach of a high-performance indoor cycling company that sells turn-key cycling studios and offers online services.

Our physical studio network was forced to stop operations due to the first wave of Covid-19 restrictions in 2020. Our in-studio application was not designed to be used outside a physical studio so users were unable to use it at home. We launched into the development of a web and iPad app to continue to service our clients while our physical studios were closed. We figured that the app would also allowed us to reach a market beyond the reach of physical studios.

After discussion with a colleague in a similar industry, he suggest we try Ivorysoft. We had their development team develop a quick mock-up based on some UI designs. Their mockups results are very promising so we engaged with IvorySoft full-time.

Ivorysoft used React Native and Typescript to develop a shared codebase for our web and tablet versions. The app communicates with cycling smart trainer via BLE to receive stats from a user's bicycle and displays the stats to the user within our UI. We also have a LIVE class feature that integrates with Zoom and Google Firebase to support audio/video and sharing of data across all participants and the coach of the class.

There was always one or more project managers available. Plus we had a full-time developer and a part-time developer. The project also involved two external consultants, not part of Ivorysoft's team, and the team at Ivorysoft worked very well with these consultants.

All initial deliverables (and more) have been launched successfully and the feedback from our users has been very positive. Our in-studio members continue to use the app and as a result have remained loyal to our brand despite physical locations being under forced closure. We will now aim to a wider market beyond our studio network.

After delegating the key tasks, Ivorysoft's highly-skilled team took full responsibility for the coding and problem-solving. This allowed for me to confidently use a more hand’s off approach. This was crucial to the success of the project because the app development did not interfere with my other roles and responsivities within my organization during this very challenging time for our company.

When we started the project, the initial development timeline that was proposed by Ivorysoft was underestimated. Getting the first version of the project to a level that we could deploy took longer than expected. However there were underlying complexities we were not aware of at the time.

Our app went from not complete and functional to approved on iOS and Play stores, user base has grown to 250 and we are now entering a key phase of marketing and promotion for Givaoke inc. mostly 5 stat ratings and seeking a round of funding soon!

They're taking code that didn't work and made them optimal features. Now we are adding new features and gaining momentum.

Possibly more overtime when we needed to hit a tight deadline, but understandable and always clearly communicated to our team.

This is not a company that can be trusted. Beware. We hired them for a project and before even interviewing them I asked Artem if they would be OK doing part time to start off with. He said yes.. he then said yes again when I asked in the interview to confirm. After a month of onboarding, he came out of nowhere and said we would need to hire 2 full time devs to continue working with them. Bait and switch to the tee. Extremely dishonest behavior and very disappointing.

They were very slow to get started and took ages to respond.

How good they are at lying. I was completely convinced this company wanted to build something great with me, only to be shown there true colors in disgusting fashion.

Not lie, not make promises with no intention of keeping them.

First of all, we’re sorry about this situation, and we’re especially sorry that there is a lot of wrong information in the feedback. It’s crucial to point out that no work was ever performed for this reviewer. The project didn’t progress into production, so James hasn’t spent a single dollar with us.

After the first interview, James immediately made an offer to work with him. We didn’t accept it, as we wanted to assess the project and the codebase first, and after review - provide a timeline and budget for our work, to manage customers’ expectations.

We have done the codebase review, ran tests on his project, and created a report with found issues (this was done free of charge). As the issues were crucial and the previous team refused to fix them (which was confirmed by the customer), we proposed to re-write the project from scratch. When the customer refused, we decided to part ways, as we were not comfortable working with the existing code, and communication with the customer was not easy. This standard pre-project communication took 2 weeks in general, not 1 month as the reviewer states.

We stand for mutually beneficial and long-term collaboration with our clients. We have developed more than 70 successful projects and we put our hearts and soul into what we do. Beat The Market (https://Beatthemarket.is) io a video game that lets players have the experience of being a financial Day Trader. They get to buy and sell stocks in a simulated environment.

I had the concept, and led the design and implementation of a Web App and two Mobile Apps (iOS and Android) that delivers a fun experience to players.

What was the team composition?

The entire back end game engine was developed by me. And Artem and his team at Ivorysoft designed and built both mobile (iOS, Android) and Web front end applications.

We collaborated on the data contracts and functional interaction between front and backend systems.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In our workflow, tasks were regularly reviewed, completed, and consistently functional. Ie, we infrequently had any feature regression. With that baseline, there were regular mobile deployments to Apple and Google app stores. 

There were also regular web app deployments to the web app host. For any issues, we iterated and almost always reached a successful resolution. That included resolving bugs, completing new features and ironing out data contracts and feature specifications.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Artem suggested daily stand ups, which was a great help in keeping both sides in sync, and addressing any issues that arose. We also had regular progress tracking collaboration, using an online project management and issue tracking tool.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I worked with Artem and Lisa to build out a Mobile and Web frontend for http://beatthemarket.io. Artem and his team did a very thorough job on look, feel and functionality of the application.

He also had the technical chops to build out a very intricate GraphQL interface. In short, Artem was relentless in his drive to deliver quality iOS, Android and Web apps. He's a big factor in the product's completion and ultimate success.

For a very small team, I can't think of any major improvements that would have improved speed of development or the quality of product delivery.

Initially, I searched a platform for freelancers to do low-level work. I thought I would do the majority of the development work myself. I eventually found Artem's (Founder & CTO) profile and saw that he had experience with platforms using advanced cryptography. After speaking with him and his team, we ran with the project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The deliverables closely matched what I had in mind. Their team transformed my words into code. They understood my directions and provided feedback on how to implement my ideas. It took them two months to make this rather complicated piece of cybersecurity software, which was quite impressive.

How did Ivory Soft perform from a project management standpoint?

We had daily calls, so I constantly provided and received feedback. We also used Slack to maintain contact and managed tasks using Trello. The process was far more hands-free than I expected. Artem was a great project manager and wrote a lot of code. Their team was communicative and highly competent.

Their technical aptitude was one of their most impressive qualities. They understood what it meant to create a truly secure application. Their team thought through all sorts of contingencies and edge cases where a hacker might try to exploit any weaknesses. They ultimately delivered a truly bulletproof piece of software.

No, they exceeded my expectations in a lot of ways.

It’s important to have a clear idea of what you want and then communicate that well. As my idea was unusual, it was initially hard to onboard them onto the idea. Even if you give them loose guidelines, they can deliver a thoughtful product.

These guys worked on various important subprojects within the app. I gave them the most challenging tasks, because I knew they could deliver. I also turned to them for advice, which is not something I can do with all Ukrainian developers - no matter how smart. More specifically, their key task was an OCR project, and integrating those native modules into react-native.

We released the app for internal testing within the deadline. There's a lot of smaller wins that are too many to dive into here.
