Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Co-founder and CEO
For what projects/services did your company hire ITSUA, and what were your goals?
After speaking with big IT consulting firms I realized that I was just a number for all them and didn’t get tailored customer service. I needed to find an IT solution provider where I could speak directly to its CEO and get his undivided attention.
Minutes after connecting via email we were hopping on a FaceTime call back in April 2022, and we hit it off instantly. My startup needed an innovative solution that would be scalable, cost efficient, and robust and that’s what they delivered.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Needed a small to mid size IT provided where you engaged directly with the CEO and his team, no project managers needed that usually create an unnecessary and costly middle layer. The messaging never got lost along the way.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The purpose of the project was to develop a subscription-based newsletter service (Newsletter Portal) that uses an RSS reader API as a source of content (RSS feeds support is to be added later) for the newsletter. The newsletter is to be sent daily and to be composed of a special template and manually selected posts.
Customers of the service are to visit a CMS-based website (End-user Website) and subscribe to a plan: one-month trial, quarterly, or yearly.
The project involved building a custom web application that would fetch content stored in a database and ultimately create a newsletter, allowing preview and allow for be sent to a subscriber base.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
CEO and 2 of this web developers
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The execution was flawless despite unfortunate geopolitical events that caused minor delays. With that aside, the team was professional and on point in meeting each deliverable with quality and depth. They were poised and resolute and went above and beyond the script as they overcame obstacle along the way.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Effective communication, through a combination of email and zoom video conferencing. Timeliness was flawless, if we put aside the unfortunate geopolitical events during the time of our engagement.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The CEO’s roll up sleeves management style, he was always in control and accountable for every deliverable.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I am extremely pleased I chose them to be my IT solution provider and I doubt no one would of accomplished the task with the price and quality paid / obtained.

Mobile App Development for Affiliate Marketing Platform
“They’ve found solutions when we’ve needed them.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder of TIMB, an affiliate marketing platform.
What challenge were you trying to address with ITSUA?
We wanted to have the ability to allow micro-influencers who wouldn’t usually get a deal with a retailer or brand to make money through an affiliate deal. Although my co-founder and I came from a fashion background and weren’t technical, we saw this as an opportunity. Our goal was to create a platform that would allow micro-influencers to earn money through deals we’d already negotiated with retailers. In a way, we wanted to create a form of affiliate marketing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
ITSUA provides us with mobile app development. They’ve built an Android and iOS app using React Native, Shopify, Nuxt.js, and Awin. The team has added functionality that allows us to track affiliate recommendations and share commissions within the app. We’ve used TestFlight to test the app. Although we worked on someone else to design the app’s look, ITSUA has developed the technology side so that the UI works as intended. Currently, development is paused because we’re reviewing how the app works from the concept level.
What is the team composition?
We work directly with Sergey (CEO & Founder).
How did you come to work with ITSUA?
A company in Switzerland referred us to Sergey.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $10,000–$25,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in February 2018. Currently, we’re revising the app’s concept, so the project is paused, but our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
ITSUA has been able to figure out how to track good recommendations and share commissions, even though lots of people told us it wasn’t possible. The team found an elegant solution for that feature. Unfortunately, the project is currently on hold because we weren’t getting the engagement we wanted, and we have to change how we approach the content. However, this is not a tech issue; it’s a design issue on our side.
How did ITSUA perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very easy to work and communicate with. We communicate via email and WhatsApp. They’ve found solutions when we’ve needed them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We come from a non-tech background, and ITSUA is very clear and helpful in explaining each stage of the project. With a previous provider, communication was much harder, whereas it’s easy to work with Sergey and his team; their immediacy in communication is very effective.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I appreciate the way they work with us.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Whether you have a tech background or not, ITSUA is a really good team to work with.

Web App Dev & Data Analytics for HR Services Company
“They help us come up with the correct answer instead of just doing what they’re told.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an executive at a recruiting services company.
What challenge were you trying to address with ITSUA?
We needed an IT platform for our business.
What was the scope of their involvement?
ITSUA is helping us build a web-based app using PHP and MySQL. The platform’s purpose is to track our business model, including people, processes, and orders. The team operates the environment and is responsible for day to day execution of it. In addition, ITSUA has done some data analytics work for us using Tableau. Currently, they do maintenance for our app and continue to develop it. The team is getting close to finishing iteration one and will start the second iteration pretty soon.
What is the team composition?
We work with senior developers, developers, and the owner of ITSUA.
How did you come to work with ITSUA?
They were already our partner before I started managing the operation. I believe our company had a previous business venture with ITSUA, so they decided to use them again for this project.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $500,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around June 2016, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’m very happy with the work ITSUA does. As far as consultancy, they give a good insight into what our future direction should be. When we talk about ideas and requirements, the team is great at putting technical constraints around them and determining whether they’re good ideas or possible to implement.
From the platform’s standpoint, the team understands what they’ve built so far. The system isn’t really at the stage we want it to be, and it won’t be until after three major iterations. We’re now ready to start thinking about the next generation.
How did ITSUA perform from a project management standpoint?
We work in an Agile environment, and we track their effort. When it comes to tools, we work with Kanban boards, moving back and forth between the delivery team and us. They collaborate with us to evolve the solution. Skype, Jira, and email are our main communication tools. ITSUA is on track, and we manage the schedule and the backlog together as a team.
What did you find most impressive about them?
ITSUA’s collaboration and commitment are their strong points, as well as their dedication to the project. They’ve always treated us as their number one customer. The team is always available, and we get the best support from them. No matter when I call or write, I always get a response.
Additionally, we have a great give and take. I don’t want a provider to just do what I tell them to do — I want someone who tells me what’s right. I appreciate being able to bounce ideas off ITSUA’s team and come up with the correct solution, which will work from requirements and functionality standpoints. Overall, I have a really good collaboration with ITSUA; they help us come up with the right answer instead of just doing what they’re told.
Are there any areas they could improve?
In the development itself, they could improve their capacity to prove that what they’re doing is correct.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Communication is key to everything. The best way to work with ITSUA is to collaborate with them and not just hand them specs. They have to be part of the team instead of just labor. If you just tell someone what to do, you don’t necessarily know that’s the correct answer. They’re experts and need to be treated as such.
