Website / App Development Company
Itomic started life as a small digital web agency focused on making quality sites for business owners in Perth. That was the year 2000. Today, we’re one of the oldest businesses of our kind in Australia. But, a lot has changed.
Today we are Australian custom software developers, specialising in advanced web sites, web apps, and mobile apps.
Our principal offices are in Perth, Western Australia, and Melbourne, Victoria.
Technically we specialise in a small cluster of the world's most popular software: WordPress (CMS), Drupal (CMS), Laravel (framework) and Flutter (mobile apps). This allows us to be truly solutions-focused across a wide range of mainstream and bespoke business needs.
We maintain a healthy balance of team members, approx. 50% onshore and 50% offshore. The benefits to our clients and ourselves are:
- Able to scale up quickly
- Reduced costs
- Increased diversity
- Wider based of skills and experiences
Initial consults always complimentary.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the owner and general manager of a custom home building company who also do large scale renovations.
For what projects/services did your company hire Itomic, and what were your goals?
Our website was originally created because we wanted to have some space on the web, but as we grew our website didn't match the level of quality we wanted to represent to our clients. We don't rely on our site for lead generation, but we do want it to represent the high standard of work we do and also allow us to showcase our work.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We spoke with a few consultants and talked over pricing. In the end they were all similar but we chose Itomic because of their portfolio of work.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had a kick off meeting where we discussed what we were after, we present a few samples sites we liked all online as meeting in person wasn't an option at that time. From there we were presented with a functioning framework for review and having that allowed us to see how it would look and feel. We made some changes to the flow and overall grouping, then they changed the test site again for us.
After that review we added proper content and had a training session of how the site could be edited by us later on. We refresh our gallery often and need to do so ourselves, this functionality was built in from day one and is simple to use. After that it went live without any issues
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
2 people in total, a director and a developer, both were great and responses were timely.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We're now able to display all our projects in the gallery section without bogging down the site/interface. We also added Instagram links to the site and we constantly get comments from people who really like our work. On online contact form works very well as well.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Everything was done remotely which was great for us, meeting in person would have slowed the process we feel. A few sessions were zoom calls, and lots of emails back and forth so it was pretty normal place from what we do everyday already.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They stuck to the quoted budget number. The schedule they provided wasn't an issue for them to meet. They understood the feel we were going for from the get-go, and we didn't have to go in circles trying to get the site to look like we wanted.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
The only issues came from the fact that we have someone else hosting our site, had we let Itomic host it I'm sure the glitch with our contact forms wouldn't have happened.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I work as a professional magician for private and corporate clients.
For what projects/services did your company hire Itomic?
I hired Itomic to design and build me a new website.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I selected Itomic based on the strength of their portfolio and some other sites they had created for other local companies.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
The project was involved a complete rethink of the website I already had. After a period of UX the design concepts were created and iterated until approval. Development followed immediately after.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I primarily worked with the lead web designer and project manager.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Magic is quite competitive where I operate. The site that was created helps me get inquiries from punters who are looking for my services.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The entire project process happened without any problems.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
On occasion I requested changes and they always responded with a 'can do' attitude.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nothing obvious comes to mind.

My needs were quite simple and so I dealt with just one of the team.

They created a site for me in record time.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Itomic were very communicative each step of the way.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They didn't try to shoehorn me into a technology that suited them. Instead they listened to my needs and recommended a solution that works great for me.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the managing editor. We publish research/analysis of mining equipment, technology and services (METS) companies.
For what projects/services did your company hire Itomic?
METS is a niche information field. We wanted a presentation platform that was modern, clean and relatively simple, but one that still afforded us creative content delivery options. The product value proposition is simple and clear: the website needed to complement that.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Having worked with Itomic previously, we had faith in the expertise and efficiency of its team. They are good listeners, know when and how to suggest value-adds, and have good mechanisms to keep projects on schedule. Key factor is value for money.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
Being able to dispense with introductions, we moved from an initial planning phase seamlessly into an introductory design meeting. Itomic's design team leader comprehensively summarised that discussion, including making some valuable suggestions to ensure clarity and speed of delivery.
We had weekly formal meetings to discuss progress, checked against a simple, clear delivery map. Itomic's team was readily available for any informal follow-up. There were no real hiccups in the process. The website was completed on time. It performed well from day one.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with the managing director/business development manager, a client liaison manager, chief developer, and development support.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We (publishing team) have worked on a number of website development projects. This was the smoothest and probably the quickest one yet. From experience, the initial client feedback (for this type of product) was unusually positive.
Producing and publishing a high volume of content daily can be tricky where the platform presents needless obstacles. This one doesn't.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Excellent communication and responsiveness all around. There was strong mutual recognition of the objectives and what needed to be done to achieve delivery by the deadline.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Itomic has an impressive skills base and a cohesive, small team that is very responsive to customers. Very knowledgeable about online publishing, and marketing. But the responsiveness, from the top down, is key.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No.
As a result of this collaboration, the client saw an increase in leads and received great feedback from customers about their work. Despite working remotely, Itomic established consistent communication, ensuring both sides were always in sync. They were punctual, cost-efficient, and responsive.
