I am the founder of several property management and real estate companies based in Australia.
For what projects/services did your company hire iOPTIME, and what were your goals?
We are at the start up stage of several innovative property management businesses and we required a number of bespoke / custom apps and tech tools created.
How did you select iOPTIME and what were the deciding factors?
It was an easy decision to engage iOPTIME in the end. They showed genuine interest in me, my business and the project objectives. Throughout the entire project, Murtaza and his team delivered above and beyond and nothing was too hard or could not be done. The team worked tirelessly and communicated exceptionally well at all stages.

Custom tech is never easy. You start with an idea and a focus then you need a team who can visualise with you and guide you through the creation and development stages. Murtaza and his team were amazing. We required custom reporting and qr technology apps for a compliance driven market.

Murtaza facilitated the entire project. I am sure he had a team behind him working tirelessly. Murtaza facilitated and delivered top results while always having a great attitude and supporting our business at every stage.

Measurable outcomes = very happy customer. The delivered product exceeds our expectations and their immense support and positive attitude is something that money cannot buy in today’s world.

110% above and beyond. Such a pleasant experience. Always I time and communication was concise all the time.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Focused on me and my needs. Always willing to go the extra mile without seeking payments / additional contributions. This company delivered top level results and always stuck to budgets and agreed limits. Anything in scope of work was always delivered above and beyond. Additional work was never a problem yet added at good rates - never excessive and always agreed.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We get better by taking on feedback and always looking to set the bar higher. I have worked with many tech companies in the last 20 years however none as good as iOPTIME.
My only feedback would be: perhaps look at a ‘base camp’ style platform for the customer to see and be across any project. This would save time for customer communication and always allow the customer to see where the project is at. Just may save you time. But communication was always great.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO of Illum Technology and the owner of a custom engineering design business, NED Group. In both roles, I work with iOPTIME.
What challenge were you trying to address with iOPTIME?
I retain iOPTIME for custom product development services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
iOPTIME handles development for all of our apps for both Android and iOS. All of the products involve lighting because we’re a lighting development company. We have a complex lighting methodology that includes presets and scheduling. The products iOPTIME develops support those functions.
What is the team composition?
I primarily talk with Murtaza (Machine Learning Developer) but 1–2 developers actually work on our projects.
How did you come to work with iOPTIME?
I initially met Murtaza through a website that connected developers from other countries to projects. Before he was with the company, Murtaza bid and worked on some of our projects. Unlike other app developers, he completed every project I gave him on time and on budget. He then started the company, and I kept working with him.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent just under $60,000 on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
I initially worked with Murtaza in December 2014, and we’re still working together.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We sell lighting hardware, so that’s how we make our money. We do about $40 million a year. iOPTIME helps us make those numbers, handling about 90% of our app projects.
iOPTIME’s unique because they hit their targets. Their prices are reasonable too. Considering the technical performance, their prices are at least 3-times better than anything in the states.
How did iOPTIME perform from a project management standpoint?
Their communication’s solid. Murtaza has extremely strong English language speaking and writing skills. They’re also great at meeting deadlines, which is unusual for software teams. Unlike other development teams, their time either hits timelines or finishes early.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What they say their team will do, iOPTIME does. That’s impressive, especially for a software team. Their time estimates have been spot on. I can always establish a timeline and predict when a product will be ready based on their feedback.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It’s hard to believe but I haven’t had any negative experiences with iOPTIME.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Always write specifications for projects. There will always be a communication barrier because of the distance. The only way to be successful is to write a specifications document with a timeline and a budget that their team agrees to.

We needed a company that could transform our service offering from one that is based on OEM biometric devices to an open-source platform that can be used on Android and IOS platforms so that we could offer our software as a service without being attached to any device. So they moved our platform from being device-specific and dependent on devices to being available on different operating systems so that we offer it as Software as a Service.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We started working with them in 2019 through Freelance.com . We chose them over a number of bidders because they offered the best proposal and price. They were doing Adhoc project by project AI and Biometric development for our different solutions. When we changed our strategy we asked them to help propose the best system architecture and which we where happy with and because of their work ethic we decided to enter into a permanent contract

The Scope of work is to help us build a Biometric-based Identity Management platform that is available on-demand as Software as a Service on different operating systems without being device-specific. The solution uses AI, Machine learning, and Biometrics Technology and is used in various applications where identification of an individual is required.
In other words, our solution is for digital identification proofing and once this is done that digital identification is created after verification is done can be used in different applications like Client onboarding and KYC
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We have worked with a team of 4 People each quite versatile full-stack developer and we work through two project coordinators, one technical and another Business Analyst
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We have been able to fully migrate our offering to be available on-demand on android and IOS platforms which was the first phase of the project. The second phase is to plug that into proof of concept for the Healthcare which is a remote patient self On-Boarding system to be integrated into a Hospital Management software (This is ongoing with Department of Health South Africa)
Roads Agency Zimbabwe Proof of Comcept underway, the solution is for road users to remotely digitally onboard onto an etolling system which uses an e-wallet system which they can recharge their etoll fee payment system from and then use their digital identity at the toll gate to effect payment of the etoll fee to be granted access. all projects are ongoing the phase one is complete which is the mobile application, second phase is to integrate with the etoll hardware backend and that is work in progress

They use an agile project management system and a tool called Jira, which we find to be quite effective and keeps everyone in the loop
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their knowledge of different technologies and competencies in dealing with these technologies, Our requirements are all innovative and have never been done before. so the process brings a lot of trial and error and requires trying different things to make it work and what impresses me is their continuous trying of different things to get it to work and well within budget
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We have worked remotely with them since 2019 since our applications are content-specific for Africa it would be nice if they would take the time to travel and actually come to experience the environment we want to use the applications.
My explaining or describing the environment at times is misinterpreted and other tend to be slight delays in executing some things as we try to understand each other. So I would suggest with every project they should go in and physical experience the environment where the solutions will be used
