I am a Co-Founder of an online education platform called MedischeScholing. MedischeScholing is focused on training and courses for medical workers. We are positioning ourselves as Netflix for medical workers.

We hired Inventorsoft to help with frontend development. Our platform is written on vue.js and Inventorsoft is specializing in this technology.

I found Inventorsoft on Upwork. I was selecting between several companies and freelancers, but only the developer from Inventorsoft was able to complete the test task that I provided.

Inventorsoft helped to develop a broadcasting page, which is pretty complex and had the next features: group chat function, dynamic forms, and functionality related to video live broadcasting. Regarding the technology stack, we use HTML, javascript, css, vue, vuex, nuxtjs and lodash and on the backend, we use php and laravel.

We started with one frontend developer and then hired one more. At some point one of the developers was not performing as we wanted, so Inventorsoft replaced him with another top-performing guy.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

In our company we focused on development speed and quality, we are keeping only top performers in our team. Developers should be focused, self-organized, and show results every day. Inventorsoft has good developers who are matching those criteria. From the MedischeScholing platform point of view, they were working under the broadcasting page which is the core of our platform

We use Scrum methodology, so we have daily, planning, demo, and other standard Scrum meetings. We use Jira as a task management tool, and we use Slack for team communication.

The commitment of their developers is commendable.

I’m the head of operations for a healthcare recruitment platform. We connect both large and small healthcare organizations to doctors, dentists, nurses looking for new positions. At the same time, organizations can post permanent and temporary vacancies for professionals from across the globe.

What challenge were you trying to address with InventorSoft?

One of my frontend developers left, and I had to find an experienced replacement quickly. I decided not to hire someone internally and, instead, needed to find a provider with the right experience.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’re working on a hybrid app that’s available on iOS and Android. InventorSoft’s developers have provided frontend web and app development, along with backend support. Eventually, we brought in another backend developer as well.

They’re using Angular 8 and Ionic 5 on the frontend, and Laravel PHP and Firebase on the backend to build additional functionalities and fix bugs.

What is the team composition?

Maksym (CTO) was my first contact. He put me in touch with the programmers. I’ve had one senior Angular programmer, one mid-level Angular developer for support and maintenance, and one senior Laravel PHP programmer.

How did you come to work with InventorSoft?

I interviewed 6–7 companies from Ukraine because I heard that the programmers eastern European programmers are very good. I searched all over Upwork, but I found InventorSoft on Clutch.

I gave InventorSoft a trial activity and asked them to build a screen using existing APIs. They finished it quickly and professionally and delivered a responsive design. I had my in-house programmer review the code, and I got a positive response.

They seemed to be a reliable partner, so I went ahead with them. I insisted on working with the same person that did the trial job.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent $35,000–$40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The frontend part was done between November 2020–April 2021. Now they’re assisting me on a case-by-case basis.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In order to maintain standards when multiple programmers are working on the app, my in-house programmer maintains the code and reviews everything that InventorSoft produces. We’ve been happy with their work so far and plan to continue our partnership.  

How did InventorSoft perform from a project management standpoint?

I work with the programmers on a daily basis and manage the project. We use Slack for communication and Trello for issue management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

InventorSoft is reliable; they’ve delivered what I’ve requested.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing comes to mind immediately.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

You can always start with a trial job, but make sure to work with the same person once the vendor is selected.

Cloud Defense was founded by the desire to solve the problem of simplifying the process of securing applications. Right now you need to use several tools to check your application for SCA, SAST, DAST, API, Licenses, and Secrets Scanning. Cloud Defense Platform allows doing all kinds of security checks in one platform including API and docker container scans. Regarding my role, I am the CEO of the company.

We hired Inventorsoft to help with Clouddefenese platform development. We were not very satisfied with the current vendor in terms of delivery and quality, that’s why we hired Inventorsoft, as they are specializing in development using technologies that we needed.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Their portfolio and reputation were pretty good. Also, I contacted one of their current clients, who is located in the same region as me. And that person provided very good feedback and explained best practices for cooperation with Inventorsoft.

We started our cooperation by hiring one frontend developer, and he started showing very good performance and quality of the delivery immediately. We extended the team step by step on 2 java developers and one QA person. After that, we found that we get fewer bugs and our releases became more stable. Our technology stack is very wide, our main technologies are Java, Angular, GraphQL, Kubernetes.

As for now, we have a team of 4 engineers from Inventorsoft:

• 1 frontend developer

We have plans to extend the team up to 10 developers this year.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Inventorsoft is working together with our internal development team, and we see that the quality of the product becomes much better than previously.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We use Slack for daily communication. Also, we have regular calls on Zoom where we share plans, discuss issues and priorities of the tasks. In terms of methodology, we use Kanban. As a project management tool, we use Jira.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Inventorsoft is not a company that just provides developers, but they also consult in terms of processes and issues that they see in the project. Also, we like that they are self-organized and you don’t need much time to manage their resources, they know what the goals are and what they have to do.

Not, at the moment.

We found Inventorsoft on one of the freelance portals, their profile and portfolio were so impressive that we decided to work with them. I researched roughly 15 companies. I tested their existing client's apps, and only Inventorsoft had flawless apps. It's the reason I chose them.

We started from the implementing frontend part for one of my startups. Inventorsoft helped with web and mobile apps for one of the apps. We still are adding more and more features to the projects and Inventorsoft is helping us with frontend and mobile development.

Please describe your company and your position there.

Our company is a spin-out from the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2008. Our core product - Observe is a web-application that allows Schools of Medicine and Healthcare Sciences to plan and perform OSCEs (Objective Structured Clinical Examinations) and MMIs (Multiple Mini Interviews), as well as conduct detailed instant analysis on student scores while the OSCE is ongoing. I am a co-founder/co-director and COO/CTO of the company.

For what projects/services did your company hire InventorSoft, and what were your goals?

Due to COVID-19 pandemic many of our clients had to cancel their traditional physical OSCE or face-to-face MMIs and University facilities were closed for the foreseeable future. We had to deviate from our product development roadmap and move quickly to start developments on a video integration and remote assessment solution to meet the demand of our current and prospective clients.

At the time we were also in transition from in-house development to outsourcing all our development work. We posted this project on a popular freelancing platform to get a feel for the talent pool it provides and we came across Maksym at InventorSoft (outsourcing agency).

They were (still are) highly rated on the freelancing website in terms of project completion, reviews and have a large team with knowledge and skills that closely matched the web development technologies that we were familiar with. Proactiveness of the developers and their contribution to design thinking. Not waiting on my every command like we currently experience with other outsourcing agencies. Feels like they are part of the team and company culture even though they are in a different timezone. They also contributed to improving the coding standards and software development practices at our company bringing in that expertise from industry. Good attention to detail.

In the frame of a big workflow system development in the form of an extranet with thousands of users dedicated to phone contract activation, phone and accessories selling, for main telecom companies in Italy, we needed to startup and develop the first instance of a mobile WebApp/App frontend to the services of our customer.

We tested 4 different outsources on Angular frontend development on smaller projects, and finally shortened the list to InventorSoft. Main factor in our choice was: skill and speed in development besides propositive attitude.

Scope of the assigned module was the mobile Angular frontend of a big workflow system. The key deliverables was the different functions available in the module. Angular communicating using GraphQL was the key.

We obtained a working frontend implementing all the needed functions, with appreciation of our customer.

We have a Technical PM speaking directly with the customer PM. Our Technical PM write and sort the different Trello cards on the team developers. We normally make frequent staging and production deployments merging the different branches committed by the different developers. We make a daily standup meeting and have other video-calls, and chat on request (google chat, google meet).

Their developer makes the work independently, with attention to details, and testing. Also has an attitude for proposals.

We were building a new module and needed some help with UI development.

We did high-fidelity mockups. InventorSoft was responsible for developing the UI of the platform. They used Next.js, a JavaScript framework.

They were recommended by another UI company. We met to discuss the scope of the project and moved forward with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project ran from December 2019 until April 2020. It just ended last week.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The success metric was delivering the project on time. InventorSoft did deliver within the timeline. They gave support, delivered some of the missing features, and fixed issues —there are always some in these types of projects. 

Their work was good, and the turnaround on small tasks was very fast. There was an initial phase and a run-off phase, and it all went very well. 

How did InventorSoft perform from a project management standpoint?

Our side handled project management. We gave them dedicated tasks which we then collaboratively worked on. For communication, we had daily stand-up calls and spoke primarily through Microsoft Teams with an occasional email. They were very available.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed by their dedication and willingness to go the extra mile. There were two deadlines that required working over the weekend. InventorSoft complied with no pushback. They met the expectations we set forth and came up with suggestions for the UX/UI. They asked questions to understand how it would all work together since they weren’t handling the backend development.

Be clear with specifications. Once they understand the processes and what they need to deliver, it helps them do the best delivery of the product.

We hired them to build a web-based customer portal for one of our clients.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They began the project by providing time estimates for development. After we confirmed their plan, they started building the product. They developed the initial infrastructure on Ubuntu servers, and have since migrated their code to Azure. They’ve written the frontend of the platform in Vue.js.

What is the team composition?

They’ve assigned a group of around 10 people to our project, including architects, developers, QA testers, UX designers, and a project manager.

How did you come to work with InventorSoft?

We asked several peers in our consultant network for recommendations, and one of them mentioned InventorSoft. Soon after, we met with Maksym (CTO, InventorSoft) to discuss our project needs. This meeting went well, and we chose them as our partner.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in November 2018. They’re still developing the platform.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had a third-party consultant evaluate their work with a security test. The results showed that their code is stable and secure, which is a great sign for the success of the platform. We’re convinced that the product they’re building will simplify many business processes for our client.

How did InventorSoft perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team responds to all of our questions while keeping the project on track. Also, they provide frequent updates and progress reports. They’ve delivered everything on time and under budget.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Maksym is skilled at clearly explaining technical details, especially when describing development limitations. He has a solid understanding of our customer’s needs, and his team consistently addresses project requirements in their deliverables.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’ve been times when their team has been too proactive. Our customer reaches out directly to them with new requirements or feature ideas, and, in some cases, they’ve failed to confirm these changes with me. Although I’m not used to this, I understand that they’re trying to give our client outstanding service.

Make sure to have an initial conversation to lay out your requirements. It’s important to take time at the beginning of a project to gain some insight regarding their approach.
