McIntosh
We've developed an in-car app fully integrated with the interface of the vehicle which can be used as a player to play from various sources. Or, more accurately, a complex media player and a car entertainment system. It can be found in a few upcoming luxury car brands.

Scase
S-Case is an affordable point-of-care device that helps healthcare professionals and patients make educated medical decisions.
Using smart sensors it monitors and analyzes vital signs: Body Temperature, Pulse Rate, Blood Pressure, Glucose Level, and Oxygen Saturation.

eVici
The eVici team had a strong back-end development muscle, but with complex products like this, the key to success is a great user onboarding and a strong emphasis on perfect user experience.
As a startup, eVici had a specific schedule for reaching milestones. Developing their own design team could turn out to be a cumbersome task.
eVici required comprehensive UI and UX support for the backend developers team in shipping the final product. We've covered that need with our UI Team Lead involvement and a Front-end Developer service.
As the next milestone, we have designed a visual user guide that would serve the role of tutorial for first-time users. In cooperation with an illustrator, we have created a step-by-step guide on how to use eVici products.
The cherry on the top was our design and development of a project's landing page that encourages visitors to use the eVici system by strongly focusing on the performance and conversion rate optimization.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CEO of Citydoping, a mobile app that lets one tour New York City like a local with an access to the insider's guide, curated by the residents who actually live in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
For what projects/services did your company hire intent?
We needed an iOS app made from scratch and hired intent to deliver UX/UI and to develop the application.
What were your goals for this project?
The goal was to have a state-of-the-art usability to fulfill high expectations of New Yorkers and its visitors. The app also had to run smoothly and with no frictions while still using high-end geo-localisation functionality merged with real-time social features and the ever changing prices of food and beverages.
How did you select intent?
We were on a lookout for a partner who thinks as much as he does the hard work. Growth experience and business acumen were a must and this is why we picked intent. Peer-to-peer recommendation was the main factor in our decision making.
From the time perspective, we couldn’t be more happy with the choice we made back then. We have, however, talked to other companies around the world, including software agencies in New York.
I think it was intent’s methodological approach mixed with this confidence of theirs that made us feel at ease with choosing them. Never looked back twice after signing a contract.
Describe the project in detail.
The scope of the project was to take an unique Citydoping guidebook (analog) concept and translate it to beautiful, top-notch digital guide platform. Intent was our partner on many levels.
They developed an iOS app from scratch along with delivering exceptional UX/UI, on each stage supporting us with expertise advisory on app solutions in correlation to behavioral schemas of end users. We discussed together numerous business-related decisions, and obtained significant support product-market fit and go-to-market strategy.
Most of the task had been carried out remotely, between different teams working in different time zones in Europe and North America. Thanks to Intent, this worked out very well.
What was the team composition?
This was a team’s effort that included 2 iOS developers, 1 UI designer, 1 UX designer and a PM. On top of that intent helped us greatly in some of our business-related decisions and functional product development.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our main focus was on delivering a working iOS application and intent delivered supremely well. As I mentioned earlier, they also put a lot of effort and know-how into the holistic outcome of the project that included consulting on scaling the app, Product-Market fit and Go-to-Market strategy.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Under the exceptional project manager’s guidance and management, everything went smoothly. If there is one word to describe their style it has to be ‘hands-on’.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Probably their willingness to succeed together with us. Their dedication to make good, useful and successful products is as if they had a stake in it is impressive. This shows whether a company is a partner or simply a vendor or a contractor. Intent, in this regard, is a true partner that co-owns ups and downs of the project along with us.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I don’t think there is. We’ve got way more than we came for.

Project summary:
.intent (formerly inFullMobile) developed a mobile app that acts as a digital version of a printed travel guide. The app is for iOS and allows users to find entertainment, food, and culture spots in certain cities they’re in.
Feedback summary:
Delivering a high-quality, minimalist design, .intent (formerly inFullMobile) delivered on client requirements. They were detail-oriented and organized and communicated best practices still in use by the client. Customers can expect a partner with top-level execution.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing director of Citydoping, a travel info company. We publish our guide in five languages.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with inFullMobile?
We wanted to build a digital version of our printed guide.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They developed our mobile app for Warsaw and for New York. The app is only for iOS and includes five categories. There’s a place to buy something, there’s a place to watch something, and places to visit museums, bars, and clubs. The most important feature was the localization that you can find easily. The second most valuable feature was their design. We told them we like minimalism and that we think less is more.
What is the team composition?
We worked with the CEO and a few programmers.
How did you come to work with inFullMobile?
We found them in a Google search and had meetings with different companies. We felt inFullMobile would be very good because they worked with huge companies in the United States and they were specific only in iOS.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together between July 2011–October 2012.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They had a great sense of design and did a great job designing the application. There were a few corrections, but we liked this project and got what we expected. They developed it very fast. We knew in our minds how we wanted to do this, and in the second meeting, they told us what they could do with our budget. They helped us to gain more customers.
How did inFullMobile perform from a project management standpoint?
Everybody in our company is a little bit lazy, but everything with inFullMobile is scheduled. They are very organized. After cooperating with them, we are still using Trello within our company. They were never late. They were sometimes working too fast for us, even.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed with the implementation of our idea.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t have any criticisms.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
There were no problems between us and the CEO because we were in the same country. The CEO has a rule that he wants a face-to-face for every project. This is a huge value.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CEO of Stały Kurs, a company that offers mitigation of currency exchange rate risk with fixed exchange rates.
For what projects/services did your company hire intent, and what were your goals?
We wanted to have a complex web app for currency exchange designed, developed and deployed. It needed to include risk management, payments managment, transactions management, operations on hedges (create, read, update and delete) and rolling hedges.
However, from a business perspective, we also aimed at a partner who could potentially inspire confidence and trust as the project has been meant to be iterated for years to come.
How did you select intent and what were the deciding factors?
Intent was recommended to us by somebody in my personal network. Despite this, we did our own research and after some thorough screening and analysis we picked intent as the company showed the most dedication, know-how and was the most trustworthy. Their unique business model and monetary transparency also played a role in it.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
All of the following functionalities have been developed in sprints with weekly demos, during which we could check out clickable prototypes mitigating our potential fears and doubts:
- payment integration
- risk management
- onboarding process
- dashboard and admin panel
- transactions management
- client management module
- margin calls management module
- payoffs list and their management
- CSV reports generation functionality
- automatic language localisation (along with content related to it)
- client panel
- real-time integration with the Polish National Bank and its currency rates.
There are also numerous data filtration options, automatic emails with customizable margin calls and push notifications. The tools used for the project were Firebase, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Realtime Database and Fastify.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
6 people in total: QA Engineer, Full-Stack Developer, Front-End Developer, UX Designer, UI Designer, Project Manager.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Weekly sprints during which intent would produce a working and clickable prototype/demo. They never failed to deliver on time and that ‘demo approach’ was a breath of fresh air I’ve never encountered before.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
Flawless communication using tools such as Zoom, weekly or even daily sync calls with their PM or the whole team, face-to-face meetings with the team and company’s CEO down at intent’s office in Warsaw.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their comprehensive approach to problem solving. There were many obstacles as the project went but they never ceased to impress me with what they were coming up with. Their methodology also made me sure everything was going in the right direction with their weekly demos that our team took part in.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not a single thing. The C-level involvement on their end, the product consulting they have constantly provided as an additional service and the technical knowledge of the team were simply superior.
Suffice to say I’ve been a happy client for over a year now and I plan on keeping the partnership as we go further down the line with intent as the one-stop shop for us from design, through development to Go-to-Market and fundraising.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I’m the COO of the company EZL which specializes in mounting professional light systems in big venues.
For what projects/services did your company hire intent, and what were your goals?
Intent helped us in the first stage of the new product development. This was a discovery phase where we took part in the workshop to understand if our product assumption meets potential customers’ needs.
Essentially, we sought professional support to better understand if our project assumptions make sense from different perspectives. We were not sure if the project is technically feasible, what feedback we can expect from customers, or how difficult this whole undertaking can be.
Besides that, we wanted to quickly have some tangible prototype of the product to show our potential customers and future investors.
How did you select intent and what were the deciding factors?
We heard good opinions about them among our network.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We hired intent for a 5-day workshop to validate if our product is market fit. The workshop was called a Design Sprint. During the first day of the workshop, we talked over the whole project with different specialists, identified various project risks, and then decided what is our unique selling proposition.
On the second day, we prioritized different functionalities and started drawing the simple user flows of our app with a high emphasis on the most important features. Once we decided on how our app could visually and technically look, intent built for us a clickable prototype.
The prototype was also tested with a carefully selected group of potential customers to gather their feedback - building, and testing this prototype was performed without us and took them three days.
Finally, after 5 days we received a comprehensive report describing what we came up during the first 2 days of the workshop. The summary indicated what unique is in our product, what is end-customers’ feedback, how we can improve it, what potential obstacles they see in product development, how we can mitigate them, what next steps should be taken, and so on.
Additionally, we also received this clickable prototype showcasing the main feature of our app (8 screens).
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There were at least two creative persons - UX/UI designers, one developer, and a PM.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We received the report (somewhere around 15 pages), prototype visually presenting our product, feedback from end-customers.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
We worked together only for 5 days but they were very productive, responsive, and deeply engaged in the project so the outcomes after this workshop were really impressive.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their preparation and previous experiences. Before we started the workshop, they made a lot of research. Hence during the workshop, they asked a lot of unobvious questions and questioned our assumptions what forced us to rethink this project once again.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
During those 5 days of work, we were really impressed by their professionalism and I wouldn't change anything.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am Co-founder and COO of the SkyOS - a start-up that provides cutting-edge technology to process automation for temporary employment agencies for HoReCa sector. I'm responsible for any orders, cooperation with subcontractors in our system, as well as promotion.
For what projects/services did your company hire Intent?
We hired intent for the discovery phase while building our new mobile application. Intent conducted a design sprint workshop which helped us to understand how to prepare before building this product, what are the potential obstacles we can expect along with the product development, and how to mitigate them. During the workshop, we brainstormed different ways on how to build the app taking into consideration different perspectives - UX/UI, engineering, business.
After this brainstorming session, we decided what this product should function and look like. The final result of the workshop was a clickable prototype visualizing our idea. The prototype was also tested with 5 end-customers that fit out an ideal customer profile. Besides that, we received a report describing what we establishing in the workshop, what was the feedback from end-users based on the clickable prototype, and the intent's recommendations for the next stage which was product development.
What were your goals for this project?
First and foremost, we wanted to get a better idea of how to kick this project off and validate if the product is market fit. The workshop was also the first step to quickly build something tangible, and present the first clickable prototype of the product to potential investors.
How did you select Intent?
The vendor was recommended to us.
Describe the project in detail.
The intent helped us throughout the design sprint methodology. It was a 2-day physical workshop where we took part in brainstorming, decided what are the main functionalities of the product, what are the potential risks, and how we can mitigate them. Ultimately, after those 2 days, based on the information gathered during the workshop they built a clickable prototype with a couple of main screens of the app and conducted usability tests with potential users.
The whole process took 5 working days (including 2 days of the workshop where we brainstormed). After all, I received a clickable prototype of my product and a comprehensive report describing my project which included the next steps to take on, potential obstacles, opportunities, and the plan for further app development. That was a very informative brief which I used while pitching investors.
What was the team composition?
UX designer, UI designer, a mobile engineer, marketing specialist, and a design sprint facilitator who was also a researcher.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The outcome of the cooperation was the aforementioned clickable prototype and the project summary in the shape of the report.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They made a really good job. The communication was rather smooth and productive.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I guess they have a lot of expertise in that matter and know what they do. I felt there was a concrete process for what we did and I knew where we're heading to.
Are there any areas for improvement?
This workshop allowed us to predict and avoid doing certain mistakes so in general, it was totally worth it. Highly recommend those guys.

The service includes thousands of live radio stations, more than 250,000 podcasts, offers a Music recommender system and on-demand functionality and allows listeners to save and replay songs from live broadcasts in digital playlists.
For what projects/services did your company hire Intent, and what were your goals?
We had an urgent need to create a great user experience on chromecast where we had tried several times to build support but had not succeeded in both creating the best user experience and also working around all the implementation kinks on the earlier chromecast integrations.
The goal was to rebuild the entire tech stack for this part of our web platform to solve these issues and give our customers a great listening experience via Chromecast.
How did you select Intent and what were the deciding factors?
After having worked with a couple of other contracting companies, we started to look for a fully integrated team that could solve this issue for us. We interviewed several development shops and Intent came out on top, both from the technical aspect but also as they showed a great understanding of product development and having a track record to delivering.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The project started with a discovery phase and then scoping the work and the deliverables. The team worked closely with the in-house front end engineering team as the solution had to be implemented and work alongside our web platforms.
The typical 2 week sprints agile setup was used and the teams worked very well together. The technologies were a combination of Javascript, react, node, etc integrating in the native Google ChromeCast sdks.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The team sized varied but was usually around 2-3 people. Mostly engineering and in the early part of the project also PM.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The team executed extremely well and it was one of the few times that our internal engineering team praised the work from an outside vendor/contracting company. Deliverables were meet on time, any issues that had to be adjusted was dealt with in a very professional manner and the teams worked very well together for the duration of the project.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work in the Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia office of the World Organization of the Scout Movement. We’re the largest youth organization in the world, with over 55 million scouts. I’m the director of digital engagement for the organization, responsible for digital transformations, software procurement, and web and mobile development.
What challenge were you trying to address with Intent?
We were developing a mobile app for scouts.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Intent developed our mobile app. It connects to various APIs from our web platforms, including a crowdfunding service.
They’re also working on our key organizational website, which serves as a web platform for over 280,000 users — scouts and scout leaders. The site has various landing pages for things, such as a hub for scouts. They also developed a web platform for our largest event in the world, which is attended by 2.4 million scouts every year.
They also provided UI/UX design and handled the discovery phases for all of these projects.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with various developers, designers, QA engineers, and project managers from their team over time. The account managers have stayed the same.
How did you come to work with Intent?
We developed our crowdfunding software with another partner, and Intent was one of their subcontractors. We included them in the RFQ for the mobile app project.
How much have you invested with them?
The total cost of their work so far is $450,000–$500,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The initial project with Intent ran between March–August 2017, and we developed various web platforms in 2018 and 2019. We have an ongoing contract with them to further develop the app and websites, and we’re considering them for future collaborations.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Intent has created beautiful UI/UX designs for us, and we’ve gotten high impressions from our stakeholders. The development work is fast and high quality, and we appreciate their approach to discovery phases. We get an excellent price-to-quality ratio that we haven’t been able to match in Malaysia or any other market.
How did Intent perform from a project management standpoint?
There will always be small issues, but I’m content with the collaboration in general, and I’d highly recommend Intent. They stand out in terms of project management and their ability to understand our needs.
They also have fast turnaround times. Even when we thought internally that a timeline was impossible, we were able to work with Intent and come up with an MVP by the launch date. They deliver on time, and they respect everything stated in SLAs. If a project has a tight deadline, they’ll commit to it and deliver.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have impressive turnaround speed, they understand the needs of the customer, and they can come up with proposals around seemingly unfeasible solutions.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could be more precise with estimations, but this is our fault as well.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
I would definitely recommend Intent for design, mobile app development, and Drupal development. They have good value for money, and their design team is incredible.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO for a digital mental health app focusing on helping people through psychosexual challenges like erectile dysfunction or difficulty orgasming for women.
What challenge were you trying to address with Intent?
We had just raised our seed funding and were looking for a team of engineers and designers to productize our vision. Intent has been instrumental in designing and building the app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We work very closely in one of the leading sex therapists in Silicon Valley, and she has been working with our team to describe what sex therapy looks like offline—the exercises they give to patients, the way they assess people, and how they figure out how to help.
The designers from Intent has been working on how to translate that into the UX/UI design. In conjunction with that, their engineers are building the design for the platform. They’ve been instrumental in bringing this product to life.
At the moment, the app is only for iOS and we’re hoping to work on Android in the coming month. They built it from the ground up. They used some of the design elements from an older version of the app, but they pretty much rebuilt it from scratch.
What is the team composition?
The core team is comprised of three engineers, a UX designer, a UI designer, and a QA tester. Then we’ve worked with product and project managers and researchers.
How did you come to work with Intent?
We went out to our investor network and asked for a recommendation. We received recommendations for about 10 different companies. Several of those were eliminated because of availability or pricing. We assessed about five agencies in depth, and they went through quite a rigorous process. Our previous engineering team assessed their code base, looked at their portfolio, assessed how we would work together based on time zone, and price, obviously.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $100,000–$120,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in March 2020 and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve tripled our conversion rate. We’re about six months ahead of schedule according to the forecast we created. We’re very happy with it.
How did Intent perform from a project management standpoint?
We have an in-house product manager that works with them and manages everything from design to UX/UI and development. She has done really well working with them to create feedback loops. As a result, it has become very efficient to work with Intent. We use Jira for logging anything, Slack, Google Hangouts, Zoom calls, and emails. Most of the day-to-day communication is over Slack. We have a daily call as a team, and the product manager is in touch with them at all times.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’ve been an efficient team across the board. The way they helped us conceptualize the product has been the most interesting. We came in with a broad brief and a vague vision on what we wanted to do. Their design team has worked well with our product manager, and has done a brilliant job conceptualizing what the product needs to look like. On the engineering side, they’ve been very quick and have delivered ahead of their deadlines.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Early on, the organization and communication was slightly problematic. At the time, it was difficult to get them to commit to a deadline, but I think that was because they were familiarizing themselves with the preexisting codebase and were making some changes to the architecture. But they’ve been spot on for the last few months, and we’re excited to continue working with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
For us, having a strong internal product manager has made a big difference. It’s often difficult to work with external teams, so having a strong internal partner to manage them helps significantly

I was the COO of a IoT app startup with a goal to change the way people do and record their home maintenance and keep the value of their home high.
For what projects/services did your company hire Intent?
We needed a company that could design beautiful mobile UIs in an ale way.
What were your goals for this project?
Deliver an MVP of the app, test it with the users and iterate to improve the UX.
How did you select this vendor?
We screened several providers of mobile app design companies and Intent had been by far the most experienced. They had a beautiful portfolio of successful apps.
Describe the project in detail.
After we've selected Intent as our provider, we've been assigned a team of two designers led by a senior UX/UI expert. They immediately jumped into our workshops and provided valuable insight into our ideation and product development. They continued to provide us with design services and when needed also supported our QA efforts. That kind of flexibility helped us keep the velocity high and iterate fast.
What was the team composition?
