What was the scope of their involvement?

They take care of our IT support needs, and Jennifer (Controller & Head of Business Services) makes our monthly newsletter. Whenever we need new computers, we call them and they come in and install them. We have five computers that talk to each other.

What is the team composition?

We work with Dan (President) and his wife, Jennifer.

How did you come to work with IntegraMSP?

Dan and Jennifer’s daughter was one of our students when we first started. That’s how we got to know them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $1,200–$1,400 over the past 10 years.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2010, and as far as I know, we’ll be with them forever.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re very efficient and we always get a response from them in within 24 hours.  Their prices are very competitive, and they’re very hands-on. We tried to do without them for a couple of months and couldn’t do it.

How did IntegraMSP perform from a project management standpoint?

Our office manager deals with them mostly, and she’s very happy with them. If we have an emergency, we’ll call them. If it’s not as important, we’ll shoot them an email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They add a real personal touch to things. It feels like they’re part of our family.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing really comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to be upfront and let them know what you need. Find out what their charges are and be aware of what they’re going to charge for.

Desert Steel is a construction firm. We place reinforcing steel in the concrete construction of major commercial projects. We’ve done the Cowboys and Rangers stadiums, a couple of convention centers in Dallas, and multiple airports. We generally subcontract for general contractors. We’re a standalone company, and we don’t have divisions.

What challenge were you trying to address with IntegraMSP?

The computer world was passing us by. I came from the old DOS and Lotus world — things we could actually understand — and, all of a sudden, everything was over my head. We needed to update a lot of programs to Windows, and it became very complicated and went above everyone’s heads.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially went to IntegraMSP to oversee the applications we had in our computers. We were using Sage Timberline Office. It evolved from updates and software installations to consultation on the computers we needed. They could tell when a machine was close to crashing and we're always ahead of that. They continually maintain our systems, ensuring that we can be up and running quickly in case of a disaster.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with 4–5 people from IntegraMSP over the years, including Dan (Owner).

How did you come to work with IntegraMSP?

I first bought the Timberline system in the 90s, and Dan was working for them in 2005 when we were having issues. He came to our office to move information from one computer to another. He was the only person out of all the people they sent that actually listened to our concerns. I explained everything in laymen’s terms, and he talked back to me in laymen’s terms. Because of that, I instantly became a customer when he went into business on his own.

How much have you invested with them?

The amount we’ve spent with them over the years is around $120,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with IntegraMSP in the spring of 2009, and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I don’t hold anything to perfection, and we’ll have glitches that aren’t anyone’s fault. Microsoft will do something weird, or something else will go haywire, but we know that it’ll be fixed quickly. We’re very happy with IntegraMSP.

How did IntegraMSP perform from a project management standpoint?

We don’t have an IT department, so everyone in our company creates tickets on IntegraMSP’s system. We don’t have regular meetings, but we have phone conversations occasionally, and I can text Dan if I have an issue. I make sure to also round up the support desk when that happens. We simply create tickets and have someone assigned to us, and the tickets stay in the support system for everyone to see.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They understand what it is that we need, and they fix it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t say that there’s something they should improve. I feel we have very good contact with them, and we’re able to function just fine. We get instant responses when we ask for something.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Clients need to understand what they need and lay that out to the IntegraMSP team. This is a problem with all of us: we think that we’re explaining ourselves really well, but we’re not.

I’m the general manager at a golf practice facility. We have a merchandise and golf shop as well as eight teaching professionals that give golf lessons.

We wanted a local team that ensures that our three IT programs effectively communicate with each other.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have three software products that need to function and communicate with one another: a ball dispensing machine, a POS system, and a credit card processor. They make sure that our IT system functions correctly on a daily basis, allowing our business to operate. 

We also have software that records video golf lessons for email distribution to students. They helped us facilitate those virtual lessons from an IT perspective. 

They regularly monitor our facility off-site. However, we had to make tech upgrades to some of our hardware over the years as well. For those projects, they would work on-site regularly. Even though most of their work is conducted remotely now, they’re still on-site at least once each month.

We’ve worked with 3–4 of their employees, including Dan (Owner) and Jennifer (Controller & Head of Business Services). 

How did you come to work with IntegraMSP?

When I joined the team, I inherited the relationship. I made the decision to retain them after speaking with them. In fact, their role with our company has grown because they had the capacity to upgrade some of our previously outdated hardware.

We’ve spent about $20,000–$30,000 to this point.

We’ve been working with them since March 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

From a support standpoint, our staff is very comfortable contacting their team and submitting tickets when we run into issues.  

How did IntegraMSP perform from a project management standpoint?

They created tickets when we ran into problems and were great about what issues to prioritize. Each year, we request that they run a facility review of our current hardware and software. That ensures that we have a sense of direction for our engagement moving into the next year. If we need a change, I ask Dan how that will impact our monthly spend with them. They’ve been great about communicating with us to that end.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re experts in the field that we can trust to make meaningful changes. There haven’t been any setbacks to this point. Their attention to detail and the ability to communicate about technical problems clearly stood out. Even when we’re remote, it never takes them long to get to the root of the problem. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything. They’ve never dropped the ball. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d suggest that they provide the team access to the entire state of your facility. From there, they’ll be able to give you the best recommendations for your project. Those on-site evaluations were very helpful.

We have annual reviews with IntegraMSP, and they give us their tickets and response times.

How did IntegraMSP perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management has been great, given efficient timelines and deadlines. Everything has been well communicated. They provide quotes usually within the same day for what we’re looking for. If we have any setbacks during a project, they’ll document everything specifically for us to reference in future projects.

We typically communicate through email. They use a system to keep their notes together for our account.

What did you find most impressive about them?

At this point, I would say the balance between business and personal relationships. The team at IntegraMSP is friendly and easy to work with. That makes it easy to come to them with tickets. That’s the biggest factor when comparing them to another company.

Nothing outstanding that warrants improvement. If something comes up, we discuss it with them throughout the year.

Document as you go. For an account like ours, we’re very technologically advanced with technical integrations. Comparing the notes as you go along allows their side to gain access to information, no matter who is working on the project.
