The core tasks included geo queries, price updates, graphs generation, notification system as well as other numerous vital components of the service. The vendor had to examine the existing Java code in order to replicate existing functionality of the service.

After months, our end-client is happy with the cooperation, so we are. We contacted several software development vendors and checked their expertise, reviewed past projects, hourly rates. Also we asked to create a UI/UX mockups, and interviewed their developers.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss our goals and objectives, project development process and communication channels. We highlighted that we would like Insoftex's team to be a technical decision making, in other words - work more autonomously. Hence, we were able to regularly discuss new business requirements and changes with our client

While we were able to communicate with every team member a project manager was our main point of contact throughout the process. First of all the new system contains new features demanded on the market, a complitely new UI/UX design and works 40% faster with IoT data streaming processing. The new system is multitenant and can be installed in cloud or on-premise.

Twice a week we had meetings with their project manager, where we discussed important changes in requirements, reviewed regular planning and schedule. We used emails, Slack, Jira, Confluence, Figma, and GitHub. Also as we wanted to be closer to the technical side of the project we had regular calls with the whole team.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We appreciate their professional communication and flexibility in adopting changes in requirements. We described issues and they quickly evaluated solution suggestions. Eventually, we were able to clearly communicate the updates to out client. We learnt how to improve performance of such kinds of applications.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
First of all, I would love to have better business requirements from our client, so we will need less code refactoring that required additional testing and fixing iterations. The Agile process helped us to address these changes timely without significant issues.
