Drug Access Canada
Supporting healthcare providers and the health of Canadians
Drug Access Canada provides drug access resources, support and advocacy for healthcare professionals across Canada. By helping to expand the role of the drug access navigator in healthcare settings, healthcare providers and their patients are supported in finding appropriate drug therapy solutions.
Objectives
Drug Access Canada needed a powerful website to support its members and provide relevant drug information to both the public and healthcare professionals. The focus of this project was to design and build a website that would make large amounts of content easy to access, would be easy to navigate and present it through a clean, modern design that would differentiate it in the healthcare sector. From the start of the project Drug Access Canada expressed that they would like their website to be a modern take on healthcare web design and were open to exploring best practice web design trends.
Challenges
The new website for Drug Access Canada needed a robust backend that would make content easy to manage and edit and at the same time create an efficient user experience for members. In addition, the website required a custom solution for providing healthcare professionals access to all drug programs in Canada, using intuitive search and filters to help find information quickly and easily.

Our approach
Solving the Programs page functionality challenges was the top priority for the Drug Access Canada website. At the outset of the project, we investigated similar models to assess their appropriateness for Drug Access Canada’s needs. This initial research gave us baseline user data that informed the development of a custom solution for the site.
As with every Inorbital project, we leveraged what we learned in our research phase to develop high fidelity wireframes of the site to ensure a highly efficient user experience. We developed a series of prototypes so that we could test different user journeys and ensure there were no pain points that would stop a user from accomplishing their goal.

Bioscript
BioScript solutions is an organization that is committed to helping patients with chronic illness achieve the best possible outcomes by providing access to complex, specialty drug therapies and delivering full-service specialty care solutions. The goal of the project was to create a stronger, more unified BioScript brand and improve the user experience of the website. The old website focused on four main service offerings, each branded differently. This caused confusion in the overall aesthetic and visually suggested the company was comprised of four separate entities.
In addition, the business goal of the project was to providing BioScript with a website that is easy to administer and maintain.
BioScript was looking for a flexible structure that could be customized, based a variety of information that would populate new pages. Our approach was to design pieces of the pages as reusable widgets that could be mixed and matched to build a new page or add sections to an existing one. This was particularly important for the “Find a Clinic or Pharmacy” section of the site.
Building the website with Kentico MVC afforded BioScript with flexibility and ease in editing the content and ongoing management of the website. Leveraging page builder and custom widgets, BioScript’s functional and administrative needs were met without the need for templates.

For what projects/services did your company hire Inorbital.?
Inorbital developed our website before we rebranded. With our new name change and fresh new look, Inorbital was tasked with creating our new website as well as migrating information over and setting redirects from our old websites to our new.
What were your goals for this project?
The goal was to reliably reproduce and migrate current information to a new site with a brand new fresh look. There was also a need to inform our current clients of the change and ensure that we do not lose traffic from our old domain to the new one.
How did you select this vendor?
Inorbital has been our go to problem solvers when it came to anything in web development. They produced a clean and informative website in the past and selecting them again for another project was our first option.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Inorbital designed, developed, configured, and launched our new website. The project began with mock ups to showcase the layout, design, and information architecture for approval. Once approved, production included creating a time activated lightbox, new tabs and information, having everything responsive, redirects from our old website, submitting sitemaps, and ensuring that keywords are optimized for our website. Continuous improvements are made with Inorbital.
What was the team composition?
The team involved 2 people from or organization and 3 people from Inorbital from mock up to final production.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
Our organization was going through a name change and this involved us changing all of or marketing and forward facing communication. Inorbital was able to help produce a website that received many positive feedback to showcase our new brand and change.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
We mainly went through emails - we did not use Slack for our method of communication as the team was fairly small. We did set up meetings over the phone and links were sent to us to review as we went along.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The calm and professional manner that everyone had. No matter what problem we thought of or worry we had, Inorbital's team was able to find a solution in a way to really showcase what we wanted. They are always professional and work so quickly to help meet our needs.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Not at all! They are very accommodating and understanding. Inorbital is a great team to work with.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the President of Flow Marketing, a marketing services and events company.
For what projects/services did your company hire Inorbital.?
Flow was hired by the CMHA to develop a resource website to help front line healthcare workers and the general public self-manage their anxieties resulting from COVID-19. The resource site had to be robust, easy to use and produced in a extremely short timeframe.
What were your goals for this project?
Deliver a resource site in an extremely tight timeframe that was robust, easy to use.
How did you select this vendor?
Flow had worked with Inorbital in the past and they always overdelivered. I knew that Tony and his team would embrace the project and be inspired by the opportunity to work on something that would make a difference in the lives of those in need.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
Consultation on development of site objectives and strategy Consultation and build of wireframes Consultation on design of site Site build Site hosting Training of users on the content management system
What was the team composition?
Team at Inorbital included: - Sr. Management (Tony Tullio) - Project manager - Site design / UI experts - Developers
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
The site has been extremely well received by users.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
A very aggressive program timeline was established. Because we were under such tight timelines, the project underwent changes throughout the project. Because of strong logic built into both the site design and the timelines, the team at Inorbital was able to adapt to required changes and delivered the project on time and on budget despite the scope change challenges. Strong communication on the part of the project team also drove effectiveness and outcomes.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their ability to act as a partner. This required that they internalized the objectives of our partner, CMHA, and the end users of the site. This required a very dedicated quick study of complex user profiles.
Are there any areas for improvement?
We were extremely happy with the outcomes over such a short timeframe. If we had more time, I'm sure we could have imbedded site enhancements from the outset - but there is currently no gap in the perceived delivery of the project.
