BACKGROUND

Please describe your organization.

Viapool provides mobility for corporate services and we are located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am the UX/UI Designer and am also in charge of the mobile development.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What business challenge were you trying to address with Innofied Solutions?

In Argentina, the big companies are starting to move out of the city, so this becomes a challenge for their employees. Our service provides these companies with a system that will handle all the taxis, black cars, or buses that will be needed to move their employees from one place to another.

We needed to improve the reservation experience for our clients. One of our most important services is company buses, and right now they are not as full and organized as they should be.

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.

Innofied developed an Android and iOS user app and a third Android app for drivers. The user apps allow riders to sign up for the buses and check the status of their reservation. The driver app directs the drivers and tells them where to stop, along with how many passengers will be riding.

We came up with the design for the apps and Innofied directed the tech side completely, coming up with ideas to improve the whole project. Their team developed in record time, then tested and made corrections. In 5 weeks we had 3 new apps in the market and were ready to improve our customer's experiences.

How did you come to work with Innofied Solutions?

Our CEO was at a conference and he met one of the Innofied team members. He knew we needed to develop some apps and he asked us to look into Innofied because they’d done mobility apps in the past.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

The project cost $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement began in October and we finished last week. The project hasn’t launched yet.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

We will first roll the project out to a small group of employees within the next few weeks and then start gathering information.

How did Innofied Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been awesome. When a deadline was missed it was because of our company. They are great communicators because they take the time to explain step by step how to set things up. The budget and price had no surprises, everything went as expected.

What distinguishes Innofied Solutions from other providers?

Their biggest strength is that they care about the app meeting the expectations of the client. We felt like they were walking beside us during the whole process. We worked with dev companies in the past, and for the first time, we found a company that actually cares about the final product. They were always looking for ways to improve the project, make it more flexible, and better. This "love" for the job has no price at all, and we are thankful.

Is there anything Innofied Solutions could have improved or done differently?

I can’t think of anything. This was my first time working with a third party provider and it’s been a great experience.

BACKGROUND

I am the software research and development director at a leading healthcare company. We are exploring a wearable platform to increase personal health and wellness.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

We're exploring the reasons for and possible solutions for users abandoning wearable devices. Tech wearables, particularly those for health and fitness, fail to keep the interest of users for more than a few months. A survey of 6,223 United States adults revealed that 1 in 10 consumers age 18 and older owns a modern activity tracker. However, more than half of the survey's respondents said that they no longer use their activity tracker and a third of those stopped using the device within six months of receiving it.

SOLUTION

We engaged Innofied to develop Android and iOS mobile apps that accompanied our wearable platform. The overall scope included development and testing of mobile apps using an existing user interface design and backend interfaces. We were provided with 4 front-end developers, a QA [quality assurance] tester, and a project manager. The duration of the development cycle was a relatively short 4 months, which was very aggressive given the project complexity and scope.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Innofied delivered on time, within budget, and with acceptable quality. We had a fixed launch date for the app that, if not met, would have created many unpleasant consequences for the project team, the company, and our partners. 

Like most software projects, we faced changing requirements, scope creep, and unexpected technical obstacles. The Innofied team was professional, competent, responsive, and dedicated – often working 18-plus-hour days to meet our commitment. 

BACKGROUND

FBO RSVP is an iPad application for airport fixed-based operators to receive service requests from pilots. This includes requests for fuel, hangar, taxi, and so on.

All aircraft require services when landing. This application is an automated system and prevents miscommunications and potentially fatal accidents like the wrong type fuel ending up in your plane.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

The application had to be fast and easy to use. All the information has to be presented in a way so the pilots are always just a couple clicks away from placing the order. If it's too complicated, they won't use it.

SOLUTION

This project has been on my to-do list for more than 3 years, and I just could not do a good enough job on my own writing the iPad application. I can do mainframe programming on the back-end, just not the GUI [graphic user interface] I needed on the handheld device.

The Innofied team rewrote my original iPad app in Swift, which was a great improvement over my version which was in Objective-C. They made it much better looking, too.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Innofied Solution has such a wonderful group of people. They always listened to every word I said and are always trying to please. They are truly dedicated and pay attention to what you ask for. It was much easier to work with them over other developers who push back. Even if they had to show me something more than once, they were very kind and willing to please.

BACKGROUND

Our company was looking to build an interactive real-estate community with the mission to make it as easy as possible to search for commercial properties. CaliforniaLinx is able to provide a one-stop shop for the three key actions in real estate: finding owners to sell the deal, finding buyers to purchase the deal, and finding lenders to fund the deal.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

Challenges were many and what we strived for was to craft a better site compared to other real estate agencies. We needed to be able to insert bulk data, integrate advanced search functionality, and have easy access to the data so we can resolve the conflicts immediately as they arise. Enabling subscription plans and integrating dynamic data modeling to send out notification alerts to our respective users were some of the unique requirements from us.

SOLUTION

The team at Innofied was proactive. We never thought that the team would be able to find easy ways to integrate all the technical features that we wanted. With the use of CSV [comma separated values file], they figured out how to upload bulk data to the site efficiently. The use of advanced search was also implemented, and it was dynamic and robust. For the subscription plan features, they used a custom solution, or rather a platform, that allows our users to have individual or corporate accounts. They are also able to use a coupon, cancel or renew their subscription, and more. The dynamic data modeling allowed us to have total control of the back-end, and we can make changes to the data input as necessary.

Innofied provided us with one designer, one web designer, six developers, one team lead, one QA [quality assurance person], and a project manager. Innofied was referred to me by an acquaintance. We selected them over three other companies because of their pricing, communication, and project presentation.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

The result is a beautifully designed and integrated platform that is powered by a dynamic and intricate back-end data processing system. The project was delivered within the expected timeline and within the original cost estimate. The team was proactive, friendly, and professional throughout the project. They addressed issues quickly and were a joy to work with.

Overall, the team did an awesome job on the platform. Some miscommunication did occur along the way due to the gap in different understanding of the issue and the solution. More proactive Q&A with client and proposing solution before implementing will prevent similar issues.

BACKGROUND

I am the founder of an online driver education and edutainment startup in the United States.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

We needed a professional and experienced firm to help implement our MVP [minimum viable product]. Online exams and tutorial hubs are common, but our concept was different. These courses are meant to help drivers become safer and more responsible on the roads. We wanted to integrate video tutorials that can enable validation queries so we know that a genuine user is taking the exams. We also wanted a customized video transcription to help users and wanted to make the site multilingual. Setting up a question from a particular driving lesson was also our goal. We had been working with another developer and were not satisfied, so we hired Innofied to finish the work.

SOLUTION

We looked upon Innofied to make the site more interactive. They walked miles with us with things like enabling video transcription with JSON [JavaScript open notation]-formatted subtitles. They also enabled a live chat support and programmed the site to support three languages. Kudos to the team as they got all our requirements implemented with ease.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

We are still prelaunch, so results are yet to be proven, but we will continue to use Innofied in the future if we are successful. I work primarily with a project manager and one developer, although there are other developers also working on the project. We were using Basecamp to communicate and didn't care for it. We recently switched to JIRA and communication has improved.

BACKGROUND

Cordial has developed a next-generation, multichannel messaging automation platform. We meet the needs of the modern marketer by enabling them to communicate in real time with their customer, contacts or users based on behaviors and events. We allow our clients to import lists of millions of contacts, track user behaviors, and then act on that activity. Whether the marketer would like to send a weekly newsletter to their entire list, or trigger a cart abandonment email when someone visits their e-commerce site, we have a solution.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

As a newly formed startup Cordial was building from the ground up. We needed expertise in establishing our front-end application framework and developing toward an MVP [minimum viable product] quickly. Since that time, Cordial has continued to fill out the platform adding event triggered messaging, analytics, machine learning and a number of other features and enhancements.

SOLUTION

After speaking to a number of individual developers and development service providers, we decided that Innofied was a great fit based on their expertise and approach to our situation. Innofied has contributed throughout the Cordial platform, from implementing our initial multichannel messaging hub to the creation of user-configurable dashboard to our segmentation interface or "audience builder."

We have been very satisfied with the results that they have produced. Innofied has become an integral part of our team, and we continue to depend on them heavily.

BACKGROUND

Being big time fans of music and film, we were a looking to develop something that could help creative people connect directly to their fans by getting around retailers, publishers, labels, and production companies. Our app offers a direct "channel" experience where the client can offer all of their own video programming, aggregate all of their social feeds, sell merchandise via Stripe / iTunes / Google Play, and communicate directly with their fans through the platform.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

We needed an excellent prototype on iOS and Android that would demonstrate all of the core features, with most of the content managed via a backend admin. Innofied delivered a tailored solution to meet our mobile development and design requirements. We felt like Innofied was the best prepared because they have worked with these sorts of challenges before.

SOLUTION

Before coming to Innofied, we considered working with freelancers, but heard horror stories about poor dependability and inability to think about the bigger-picture. We needed a tough partner, not just an implementer.

Design was a very important aspect for us, but we needed more than design work. Innofied did it all. Our scope included apps on iOS and Android that received content via an admin/backend.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Innofied met our project needs in a couple of months and came in on budget.

We have been in conversations with clients that have seen the demos that Innofied produced for us. They achieved what was necessary and did what we asked of them.

Innofied has a team that is very detail-oriented; they understood the project really well. The only suggestion would be to have them be a little more creative. Innofied often waited on us to give them instructions, but we would have hoped for them to take greater control of the work.

BACKGROUND

Our company was founded in 2013 to help clients deliver great projects. We focus our work in the production of the project rather than planning and control. We are lean thinkers. Essentially, we provide project management solutions to companies.

In 2014, we realised that the market requires a solution that integrates company commitments and their solutions. That's the reason we created Octopull.

I'm part of the project management team with a background in software engineering & business administration. My main role is developing and addressing business strategies.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

An opportunity was identified by our team to integrate a mobile solution into our business plan. Also, we wanted to automate the control of projects and give that role to a bot.

SOLUTION

We decided to give mobile solutions and the app development to a partner, Innofied, while we kept the brain and heart of our solution in-house. 

Normally, we would have done this in-house; but with this opportunity, we realized that the Octopull team needed to focus on developing new bot features instead of working with mobile channels.

Innofied has a great and specialized team, and our lead developer could easily share information with them.  The project went very well.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Octopull led us to an increase in the number of customers and revenue.

The only issue we had was related to properly defining project scope (but I think this is a common problem of software development projects). After the first release, we decided to improve communication between teams and tried to keep new requirements under control.

BACKGROUND

Our company provides people with the ability to take a free career test online or a job quiz aptitude test. Depending on the selection of answers, it gives the user an approximate calculation of interest rate in some predefined categories. This result will help the user to determine which field may be suitable for him/her to pursue his/her career on. The website also has the facility to send the result to the user via email entered by the user. The website also has the provision of a personality test which works in a similar way, i.e. the user has to select their preferred answer for a set of questions and a result will be calculated based on that. The personality test lets the users know about the strengths/weaknesses of their personalities.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

We wanted to give the users that were taking tests the ability to share results with others. This would create a more user-friendly experience as test results could be accessed at another time. Innofied has continued work on this ability. 

SOLUTION

We discovered Innofied through articles written by Swarnendu De on web development. They have prompt communication, strive to do the best job possible, do not overcharge, and take feedback and revisions seriously. We tested Innofied at first with small jobs to see how working with them went. We are now working on a huge overhaul undertaking of all our online products.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Based on improvements Innofied implemented, user engagement and visits went up which also increased revenue. They stay within budget and also make recommendations for improvements. One point to mention is that they also communicate at a time that works best for the client. They are always readily available.

BACKGROUND

Bluelight is a sleep distortion management app that regulates mobile users’ exposure to light. We were looking for an expert in UI/UX, and a mobile app development company that had expertise in building healthcare apps of strenuous features. That’s where we met Innofied. They did awesome work for us.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

Before Innofied, we were looking to develop the app in-house. Due to time constraints and lack of resources, we looked to Innofied to provide a solution that was quick to market. Some other solutions provided us with a custom template, where integration of our app was not possible even after a bit of modification.

Innofied helped us build an app from scratch that was above and beyond our expectations. They successfully implemented the feature of suppressing harmful blue light wavelengths between 380 and 500 nanometers, coming from a device screen/monitor by adding color filtration on the screen. We think that by the end of the development phase, we can integrate and turn this app into one of the best healthcare apps that will improve a user's life on a day to day basis.

SOLUTION

The project is running at their development center, and they have started from scratch to build the best healthcare app for us. We clarified our vision of this app by sending them detailed information and explanations of the research we did on blue light effects, and how we can help users by developing this app.

Innofied quickly reviewed the documentation and started on the functions and features that were most important to this project. Those features and functionalities were then converted into a realistic design that we happily approved for development to begin.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Innofied Solution successfully handled all coding and updates of all the application until completion. They kept us updated regularly over Basecamp, a project management tool. The communication before, during, and after the development process was exceptional.
