We engaged InheritX across two separate API integration projects. The first involved integrating a Property Pricing Package API into our website, allowing users to search a property address and receive live pricing estimates. Deliverables included a front-end search interface, back-end API connection, and clean display of property attributes, sale and rental estimates, comparable sales, suburb insights, and school proximity data. The team also handled error handling, performance, and handover documentation. The second project connected HubSpot to our property data portal via API, enriching existing property records through a data backwash and establishing an ongoing live feed. The goal was to support more relevant, contextual marketing communications and improve prospecting quality across our CRM.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Integrating the Property Pricing API in-house reduced our ongoing costs for property price estimates by approximately 50%. The streamlined interface also improved internal efficiency by removing manual lookup steps from our workflow. Nothing significant to flag. One thing I'd suggest for future engagements is spending a bit more time upfront scoping the project together in detail. I did extend the scope during the work, so a more thorough discovery phase at the start could have made the overall project feel more complete from the outset. That said, the team handled the changes well.

The mobile app was developed using Flutter technology. The web platform is developed with python/django and react frontend. Inheritx has provided us expert engineers for mobile and web development, who work together with our in-house team.

We didn’t have anyone internally who could build a mobile application, so we hired Inheritx Solutions.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The mobile app has a deep integration with Salesforce, and the app's main feature is the ability for a job searcher to go in and search for specific criteria on the type of job they’re looking for in certain areas. A user can also go through and create a resume and give all the application information that we need for them to apply for a job.

Other features include integrations with tools that pull local information like the weather, cost of living, and housing. 

Inheritx Solutions has worked on two projects that both involve the same app. We started with native iOS and backend development using a PostgreSQL database that we integrated into Salesforce. We recently brought in a different subset of developers from Inheritx Solutions to work on moving from native iOS to Flutter so we could proceed with development in both iOS and Android.

We currently work with four developers: a native iOS developer, a backend developer, a Flutter developer, and a QA person. We also work with a project manager.

How did Inheritx Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve done a great job with project management. Inheritx Solutions works side-by-side with our team to do the development, and they do an excellent job with collaboration. We work through a ticketing system and escalate things to them based on the size of the issue. They’re able to fix most problems within a few days for us. In cases where they haven’t been able to solve things as quickly, they’ve communicated that to us promptly. 

We use Jira for project management and Slack, email, and Zoom for communication. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’ve found developers that line up with our needs very well, and when we need anything, they’re quick to provide us with more people who can help. They can get good developers in a very short amount of time, which has been helpful for us.

We struggle with the time difference a little bit because they’re based in India, and we’re in California, but they’re pretty flexible about meeting times.
