I'm the sales marketing director of a hotel chain. We have 23 properties, including hotels, campsites, and villas on the entire coast of Croatia.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We've worked with Infosit on multiple projects, including web and software development, UI/UX design, and API technology integration.

Their team developed our first website from scratch, which they've been maintaining and constantly updating for the last 15 years — the latest version of the platform has the latest technology integrated into it. Additionally, they've created the API backend for our booking process.

Regarding features, the website includes the booking capability for hotel rooms, campsites, and even mobile phones. It also provides information for all our properties.

We're working directly with four people from their team, including their Goran (Owner), a project manager, and a developer. 

How did you come to work with Infosit?

We made a pitch for this project and had around ten offers for potential partnerships. After analyzing all the offers and speaking with other colleagues in the hotel industry, we received great feedback about Infosit, especially about their backend capabilities, which was important to us because we have a lot of demand in our system.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we've invested around €80,000 (approximately $79,000 USD) with them, and we think they've given us the best prices in Europe.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2007, and the engagement is ongoing. We have long-term collaboration and have worked together for almost 15 years.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We've noticed an increase in our revenue for online reservations, which is up over 145%. Additionally, the number of visitors in 2019 compared to 2022 grew by 145%.

Overall, we're very satisfied with their work because our business is doing great, and we're being recognized in Croatia as a company with a great share of direct sales, which is at 50%.

How did Infosit perform from a project management standpoint?

They're doing a great job with project management regarding timely deliveries. In addition, for the latest project, we had some problems on our side and had changes in our team, so we were delayed. However, Infosit did a great job of overcoming that situation.

In terms of tools and communication, we mostly use Microsoft Teams and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

While they work in Croatia, their work is up to international standards. Also, we're delighted with the technology they've added to our platforms, which is their forte.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes, when we send an inquiry, they get back to us in around two days, which is a lot for me. I like getting information instantly and then finding time to solve the problem.

They're a great partner who will follow you throughout the project and will be at your disposal.

What challenge were you trying to address with Infosit?

We needed help with custom software development. We didn't have a solution for detailed monitoring and reporting that could help us raise awareness of outgoing call telephony expenses across different VoIP gateways. We wanted to have all of the expenses in one place, from personal to company level, to better manage telephony costs and needs. We needed a solution capable of enabling a Cisco–SAP integration as well.

Infosit has helped us create a system that allows us to monitor and get reports of our telephony expenses across different gateways. They’ve also helped us set up a searchable phone book to use in the company. Currently, they continue to help us as needed.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve successfully completed the project, and now, we’re able to monitor and split our phone calls. The process immediately started to be active, and it’s still live and working well. We started seeing the results after the first month that we implemented it.

How did Infosit perform from a project management standpoint?

Infosit has met our deadlines. They’re very proactive, and they react positively to the technology challenges that we assign to them. We wanted something that wasn’t a standard or simple solution, and they accepted the challenge and found the right technical solution. We have really good communication, and they offer a very good approach.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Infosit’s solutions are good and stable, and they meet all the technical requirements. They’re very serious about their work, and they implement the new technologies — I have only good words about them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We don’t have any active projects at the moment. However, the experience from the past projects was exactly what we needed.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you want a company that can help you develop a solution that’s not only a short-term solution but is high quality and high performance, they are definitely the right choice. Don’t be afraid to ask for something that you can’t buy from the shelf.

I’m a quality manager for an Istrian water supply company called Istarski Vodovod d.o.o. Our mission is to supply healthy drinking water to the people in our region, totaling about 200,000 individuals. We give our products to two-thirds of the Istrian Peninsula and have over 70,000 water meters.

What challenge were you trying to address with Infosit?

We wanted our website to be fully up to date with the latest technology as well as being mobile-oriented.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Infosit revamped our website to be more informative to our customers. I gave them a brief layout for the design based on data from Google Analytics, what our customers wanted to have on the front page, and more. The end product needed to be a strictly functional website that was also accessible to those with certain disabilities like poor eyesight or hearing. Their team came back with 2–3 versions, and we combined our top two choices. 

One of our main concerns was how we’d present our pricing information to our consumers. We had 38 fairly specific price lists for our region, which spanned 27 cities and municipalities. Infosit managed to create a simplified price calculator that allowed users to enter the amount of water they planned to use throughout the month and see their expected bill. This would be based on their region, service level, and what they’d paid in the past. 

We’re now in the process of securing a yearly budget so that we can potentially continue working with Infosit to build out new functionalities and further simplify our site. With COVID-19, we need to have even better digital communications with our consumers to see what they want from us and ensure that they can perform actions fully online.

We had a project manager who handled all of the communication. He translated our wants to the whole team. 

How did you come to work with Infosit?

We’d known about Infosit for quite some time — their quality of work, project management skills, timeliness, and reasonable price were all factors in our decision. I knew that I wanted to work with them.

We spent around €7,000 (approximately $8,500).

What is the status of this engagement?

The whole website development only lasted about three months from January–April 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I was really satisfied with the whole experience. The site was top-notch, and everything worked. During our testing phase, we had an issue with part of the menu, but they handled it quite quickly. 

How did Infosit perform from a project management standpoint?

After the kick-off, we had three in-person meetings altogether along with 2–3 bigger exchanges through email. Both sides avoided coordinating through the phone so that we’d always have a written checklist of what needed to be done. That made it easier to manage the project throughout. 

Everything was done on time thanks to their Gantogram chart. If I wanted to do something that was out of scope, they’d let me know that we’d end up being a day or so late with our other priorities. That let us confirm if we wanted to finish our initial scope first or add on extra tasks. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their project management and ability to meet deadlines were impressive. I have nothing but praise for them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It might be helpful if they overestimated their project costs and logistics by 10%–15%, just to give them a buffer in case we needed it. A more flexible end budget would mean clients wouldn’t have to go back to their directors to approve any additional costs to finish the project. Having said that, we didn’t run into those issues since their approximations were accurate down to the cent.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Know what a Gantogram chart is and understand what project management entails. You should also know what you want and communicate that with them. Infosit aims to help their clients, but they can’t do that fully if the other side doesn’t know what they want.

I’m the manager at Villa Vista, a vacation home rental company. It’s owned by my husband, and I’m helping him remotely with the booking of reservations.

What challenge were you trying to address with Infosit?

We had a website before but we weren’t pleased with it. We often have special offers and different discounts. I always had to call someone to make changes to our old website because I wasn’t able to make many of the changes on my own. 

Sometimes people would be busy. We needed someone to build a new website that would be modern and better looking and would allow me to make the changes on my own.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We told Infosit what kind of website we wanted. The house has beautiful scenery, so we wanted to make the photography and beautiful site visible on the website. We were doing most of the work while we were in lockdown. 

They developed our website which includes an online booking engine. After we were done, a new teammate trained me online on how to use it.

My husband knew them because they had worked on some other projects at his previous job. He knew they were good, and they were also local.

We spent $15,000. It was a lot of money for us as a small company, but we wanted a good website and felt it was worth it.

The experience of working with them was very good. They normally do larger companies in the hotel industry. I was glad that they wanted to work with us and had time. I did a small Instagram and Facebook campaign when it was done to show our website, and we got really good comments from our users and followers.

How did Infosit perform from a project management standpoint?

I was really impressed. The communication was easy. In my previous experience with IT people, they sometimes talk in their own language. We didn’t have that issue with Infosit. They really helped us understand everything, and they listened to what we wanted. 

The team always met the deadlines and sometimes finished a couple of days early. They always pushed us, and when we delayed on our side, they would call and remind us. They really pushed us to meet the deadlines. I was really impressed with how they did it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I couldn’t make many changes on my own on our old website. With this website, I can make changes and do upgrades on my own. I can now put new reviews, special offers, and discounts.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything I wasn’t happy with. I was pleased.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Communicate what you want. If you come with a clear idea, you’ll have absolutely no problems with them. If you don’t know how to proceed, they will maybe go some other direction. Give them a project task and they will do it.

I did research and came across a hotel’s page that I liked. I found out who did it, and it was Infosit. I researched other work they had done, and I liked it.

I contacted them for the first time in November 2019 and we signed the contract in January 2020. The website went live in June 2020.

We like how it looks. Our guests have told us that they like the website.

How did Infosit perform from a project management standpoint?

Infosit respected all of the deadlines, and we didn’t have any problems. They even told us to hurry up so that we could do everything on schedule. We wanted the webpage to be done in July 2020, but they finished it in June 2020.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I liked the communication. Sometimes we weren’t sure how to explain what we wanted, but the team did their best to understand what kind of hotel we are and what would be good for us. They gave us good advice, which I liked.

No, I have no suggestions. Everything went well.

You can trust them, and if you want to get the best out of them, try to explain what you need as best as you can.

EV: We needed a new website because the old one was no good. We wanted to go digital, expanding from just brochures for marketing.

RSV: We wanted to make sure the website was able to comply with Google for advertising, as well.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

EV: We brought our ideas and showed the brochures we had. Infosit created the website after giving us different designs to choose from. They also did QA testing and taught workshops, showing us things like how to upload content through the CMS.

RSV: The website is perfect for continuing with Google Analytics for optimization. They currently maintain the website and do further development of our ideas.

EV: I know the director personally, and we worked with 3-4 other people specializing in design, background, and coding.

EV: In one month, we saw huge growth on Google Analytics. This website is so much better than the old one, which was like a museum.

RSV: We plan to do online booking through the website now.

RSV: They do a good job. They are good at planning, making plans for 2-3 years for our ideas that we had. 

EV: They suggested that we be free with all of our ideas, and they help develop them step-by-step.

What did you find most impressive about them?

EV: We live in a touristic place, and it was important they understood those needs in order to be successful.

RSV: They are creative and good at understanding our needs. We often thought alike when coming up with ideas.

RSV: Infosit took longer to respond to requests than I expected, sometimes up to seven days.

EV: They had to be pushed and reminded about deadlines constantly.

RSV: Be free and creative, but have someone that keeps them on the project and reminds them of deadlines.

I’m a project manager for the Croatian Camping Union and I am the Director. We’re a national association focused on the country’s camping sector. Our efforts include legislative lobbying, marketing promotions, and education.

What challenge were you trying to address with Infosit?

Our association handles all the campsites in Croatia, so we wanted to develop a website for all the guests and sector professionals who look for information about camping. We needed a partner that could provide everything from the initial designs to the actual programming.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Infosit collaborated with us to build a responsive and optimized website. We provided them with the technical documentation and a list of our expectations. We designed our requirements in advance of this engagement, but further refined it with the help of Infosit’s team. The final task document consisted of around 300 items. They followed the product plan and developed the site to completion.

The site has an integrated search functionality and all the results can be viewed on Google Maps. This feature includes a search list and search boxes. Infosit also provided multiple widgets to automate tasks that were previously done manually.

Their project manager was our primary point of contact. We also worked directly with a designer and various many other members of their team depending on the phase of the project.

The web development took place from March 2017–June 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re happy with how the site works in terms of responsive design and general speed. It’s a fast-performing and user-friendly website. We haven’t heard customer feedback yet, but the site has been seen by our friends and colleagues in the sector. It’s received positive reviews so far.

Our session and view counts went up after launching the new site. Other metrics like average visit length and the number pages viewed have increased as well. All the key indicators are going up, so we think hiring Infosit was the right decision. Overall, we’re happy with the performance they provided. The project wasn’t without some minor issues, but those were promptly corrected.

How did Infosit perform from a project management standpoint?

We heavily monitored who was working each task and tracked their progression as the project evolved. We appreciated how organized they were. We’ve experienced difficulties in the past with maintaining contact between multiple people. However, our assigned project manager handled everything on their end. We appreciated having one contact to oversee development and distribute tasks internally. We predominantly communicated via email but also held phone and in-person meetings on a monthly basis.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Professionalism is their strongest attribute. We have no IT people within our company, so it was vital for us to work with a firm that we could trust. Infosit delivered on their promises and were also competitively priced.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Some things that could’ve been done better, but Infosit worked continuously to improve them. As a result, I have nothing to point out as a negative.

I am the former online marketing manager for Liburnia Riviera Hotels and former online sales and marketing manager for Hotels Cavtat.

What challenge were you trying to address with Infosit?

We were looking to maximize our the efficiency of our digital marketing campaigns and profit by shifting our sales processes to our own digital channels rather than online travel agencies or other platforms that require us to pay extra fees. Additionally, we were looking to promote our locations in Opatija, Croatia, and other destinations in the region.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We collaborated on the development of two online reservation sites (One for Liburnia Riviera Hotels and one for Hotels Cavtat) with an integrated third party booking engine. Infosit handled the planning and development from start to finish. The process included creating a conceptual framework, wireframing, web design, development, deployment, and finally, testing. The websites were completely custom-built using .NET technology. The websites and their logic were custom built but they are based on their self-developed CMS solution (also customized to be in-line with our data models). Additionally, they integrated our online sales platform and our Property Management System (PMS).

The solution benefited us as modern solutions that corresponded well with modern user devices, and ROI in sales was consistently rising with the development of our business and informative processes. We have received a lot of positive feedback from other colleagues and companies within the industry.

They performed very well. The owner professionally and carefully handled all of the strategic and tactical planning. We mainly communicated using Skype and other conferencing tools and shared documentation via Microsoft tools. Meetings were scheduled once a month, sometimes more frequently depending on the phase of the project, but they were always available for phone calls and quick to respond to emails.

Their skills and expertise left a lasting impression. Infosit is the first company to come to mind when asked about web developers. There was no problem that they couldn’t solve, and we were very satisfied with the engagement.

If we ever had varying points of view, we always compromised to find the perfect solution.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have worked with Infosit on a variety of digital projects, both big and small. Their team’s level of involvement depends on the size of the current project. Generally, we list the desired functionalities for the solution and they draft a proposal and a timeline, then begin working. Our main collaboration is our company website, for which they used HTML and JavaScript to develop the frontend. Some additional features include a background CMS and an interface for our booking engine. We are currently working on a new iteration of the website to be launched in the next year. The team is also responsible for managing our SEO approaches to maximize our rankings on Google searches.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website is a huge factor in our success because most of our business comes from customers booking reservations online. After launching a major update with Infosit, our incoming revenue for 2017 was about 40% more than the previous year.

How did Infosit perform from a project management standpoint?

Infosit manages projects very efficiently. They always deliver on or before the specified date and each product is thoroughly tested. We most often communicate via email, but because we are located in the same city it is also very easy to meet in person. We use a management tool to track the status of the project and make any comments or requests.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really appreciate the quality of their work and their organized approach to each project. We feel confident with their deliverables because we trust their testing process. We have found minimal bugs in their work, far less than any of our other partners.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The planning phase sometimes takes a while for bigger projects. It takes time for their team to develop a clear understanding of each different element of functionality we need.
