I’m a project manager for the Croatian Camping Union and I am the Director. We’re a national association focused on the country’s camping sector. Our efforts include legislative lobbying, marketing promotions, and education.

What challenge were you trying to address with Infosit?

Our association handles all the campsites in Croatia, so we wanted to develop a website for all the guests and sector professionals who look for information about camping. We needed a partner that could provide everything from the initial designs to the actual programming.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Infosit collaborated with us to build a responsive and optimized website. We provided them with the technical documentation and a list of our expectations. We designed our requirements in advance of this engagement, but further refined it with the help of Infosit’s team. The final task document consisted of around 300 items. They followed the product plan and developed the site to completion.

The site has an integrated search functionality and all the results can be viewed on Google Maps. This feature includes a search list and search boxes. Infosit also provided multiple widgets to automate tasks that were previously done manually.

What is the team composition?

Their project manager was our primary point of contact. We also worked directly with a designer and various many other members of their team depending on the phase of the project.

How did you come to work with Infosit?

They were recommended to us but a large company that we trust. We’d heard about Infosit before and decided to work with them based on their performance.

How much have you invested with them?

The budget was approximately $30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The web development took place from March 2017–June 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re happy with how the site works in terms of responsive design and general speed. It’s a fast-performing and user-friendly website. We haven’t heard customer feedback yet, but the site has been seen by our friends and colleagues in the sector. It’s received positive reviews so far.

Our session and view counts went up after launching the new site. Other metrics like average visit length and the number pages viewed have increased as well. All the key indicators are going up, so we think hiring Infosit was the right decision. Overall, we’re happy with the performance they provided. The project wasn’t without some minor issues, but those were promptly corrected.

How did Infosit perform from a project management standpoint?

We heavily monitored who was working each task and tracked their progression as the project evolved. We appreciated how organized they were. We’ve experienced difficulties in the past with maintaining contact between multiple people. However, our assigned project manager handled everything on their end. We appreciated having one contact to oversee development and distribute tasks internally. We predominantly communicated via email but also held phone and in-person meetings on a monthly basis.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Professionalism is their strongest attribute. We have no IT people within our company, so it was vital for us to work with a firm that we could trust. Infosit delivered on their promises and were also competitively priced.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Some things that could’ve been done better, but Infosit worked continuously to improve them. As a result, I have nothing to point out as a negative.

I am the former online marketing manager for Liburnia Riviera Hotels and former online sales and marketing manager for Hotels Cavtat.

What challenge were you trying to address with Infosit?

We were looking to maximize our the efficiency of our digital marketing campaigns and profit by shifting our sales processes to our own digital channels rather than online travel agencies or other platforms that require us to pay extra fees. Additionally, we were looking to promote our locations in Opatija, Croatia, and other destinations in the region.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We collaborated on the development of two online reservation sites (One for Liburnia Riviera Hotels and one for Hotels Cavtat) with an integrated third party booking engine. Infosit handled the planning and development from start to finish. The process included creating a conceptual framework, wireframing, web design, development, deployment, and finally, testing. The websites were completely custom-built using .NET technology. The websites and their logic were custom built but they are based on their self-developed CMS solution (also customized to be in-line with our data models). Additionally, they integrated our online sales platform and our Property Management System (PMS).

We worked directly with four or five members of their team.

How did you come to work with Infosit?

We were referred to the company before I started working there.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from March 2014–May 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The solution benefited us as modern solutions that corresponded well with modern user devices, and ROI in sales was consistently rising with the development of our business and informative processes. We have received a lot of positive feedback from other colleagues and companies within the industry.

How did Infosit perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed very well. The owner professionally and carefully handled all of the strategic and tactical planning. We mainly communicated using Skype and other conferencing tools and shared documentation via Microsoft tools. Meetings were scheduled once a month, sometimes more frequently depending on the phase of the project, but they were always available for phone calls and quick to respond to emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their skills and expertise left a lasting impression. Infosit is the first company to come to mind when asked about web developers. There was no problem that they couldn’t solve, and we were very satisfied with the engagement.

Are there any areas they could improve?

If we ever had varying points of view, we always compromised to find the perfect solution.

What challenge were you trying to address with Infosit?

We needed help with the frontend development for our company website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have worked with Infosit on a variety of digital projects, both big and small. Their team’s level of involvement depends on the size of the current project. Generally, we list the desired functionalities for the solution and they draft a proposal and a timeline, then begin working. Our main collaboration is our company website, for which they used HTML and JavaScript to develop the frontend. Some additional features include a background CMS and an interface for our booking engine. We are currently working on a new iteration of the website to be launched in the next year. The team is also responsible for managing our SEO approaches to maximize our rankings on Google searches.

We mainly work with a team of five consisting of an account manager, a project manager, and various specialists.

How did you come to work with Infosit?

We tried creating the website on our own, but realized we didn’t have the internal experience to handle all of the necessary features. I worked with Infosit’s owner at a previous job and called on their team for development support.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website is a huge factor in our success because most of our business comes from customers booking reservations online. After launching a major update with Infosit, our incoming revenue for 2017 was about 40% more than the previous year.

How did Infosit perform from a project management standpoint?

Infosit manages projects very efficiently. They always deliver on or before the specified date and each product is thoroughly tested. We most often communicate via email, but because we are located in the same city it is also very easy to meet in person. We use a management tool to track the status of the project and make any comments or requests.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really appreciate the quality of their work and their organized approach to each project. We feel confident with their deliverables because we trust their testing process. We have found minimal bugs in their work, far less than any of our other partners.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The planning phase sometimes takes a while for bigger projects. It takes time for their team to develop a clear understanding of each different element of functionality we need.
