Remote recruitment tool - Testing Tool
Challenge
The client asked us to create a tool to support remote recruitment.
The main functionality of this solution was to be remote testing of candidates. This tool allowed the candidates to complete the recruitment test remotely, whenever, and wherever they wanted.
At that time, such tools were not available on the market, and the idea of full remote recruitment was very innovative.
Process flow
In June 2013, we started working on the project with talks with the client representative responsible for recruitment.
We discussed the critical points of the remote testing process and the risks that this form of testing might cause.
After two weeks, we returned to the client with a vision of the application that:
- is 100% web-based (does not require installation on a computer),
- is compatible with most browsers,
- requires the candidate to access the Internet,
- is protected against cheating (downloading),
- is intuitive for both the recruiter and the candidate,
- does not force the candidate to register to take the test.
After re-examining and discussing our ideas, we started working on the project.
We carried out Front-End and Back-End work almost simultaneously.
Duration of the project
Start: June 2013
End: February 2014
Technology stack
Java, Struts, Hibernate, PostgreSQL
Project scope
Design, implementation of frontend and backend layer.
Time and Material settlement.
The software development team
The team consisted of one Front-End Developer, two Back-End Developers, and one Product Manager.
The final result
In less than eight months, we created a web application with a friendly and intuitive interface, which allowed candidates to do recruitment tests without inviting them to the company’s headquarters.
The tool made it possible to easily configure the test and assign it to a selected candidate. The candidate could take the test remotely, and the only requirement was an internet connection.
The application was compatible with the most popular browsers: Firefox, Opera, Chrome.

Schibsted Tech Poland
Challenge
Our task was to provide a full nearshoring service (as part of Build-Operate-Transfer) for the Norwegian company – Schibsted.
Project scope
Finding and preparing office space (IT infrastructure, equipment).
Assistance and legal, tax, and HR support.
Building and employing a 15-person team.
Duration of the project
The talks started in mid-2011, and we finished the project in June 2012.
Success story
We started working in November 2011.
In December 2011, we found an office that we also prepared to welcome the first employees. First of all, we took care of the office equipment and the appropriate IT infrastructure (computer hardware, network, and the Internet). An important issue was to choose a sufficiently strong Internet connection, prepared not only for data collection but above all for sending out.
At the same time, in December, we started the first recruitment for programming positions.
In January 2012 – the first 5 people started work.
In February 2012 – another 10 people started work.
Ultimately, our project ended with a team of 17 Java, PHP, JavaScript programmers, and HTML / CSS specialists.
Currently, Schibsted Tech Polska employs over 200 people in branches in Kraków and Gdańsk.
Why Infolet?
The client decided to cooperate with us because of our experience in building programming teams, supported by references from the largest IT companies in Krakow.
What is more, we honestly presented the salary rates of highly qualified specialists. We didn’t try to overestimate it to earn more. On the other hand, we did not lower the rates, knowing that if we got this order, then with low rates of remuneration, we would not build a team of specialists that the client expected.

Motorola Solutions Poland
Challenge
We have been cooperating with Motorola Solutions Poland since 2005.
The first project for Motorola Solutions Polska included the recruitment and body leasing of 30 C ++ programmers. Twenty specialists were to be at the senior level and ten – at the junior level.
Duration of the project
December 2005 – March 2006
March 2006 – now
Implementation
We started our cooperation in the first days of December 2005.
In the second week of December, we introduced our first candidates to Motorola Project Managers. The first programmers started work in January.
Until the end of March, we hired ten junior programmers and eighteen senior programmers and delegated them to work on projects at Motorola.
As Motorola and the hiring managers were very pleased with the cooperation and the employees we provided, we established a long-term partnership with us, which continues to this day.
From March 2006 to now, we have delegated nearly 250 specialists to work on Motorola Solutions Polska projects. Almost 100 people started working on projects in the first year of cooperation.
Project scope

Applicant Tracking System - SWI
Modular web application with intuitive user interface, that improves recruitment processes and management of them. This convenient tool enabled to plan and coordinate actions of several company departments at once, giving easy access to a clear view of the tasks in progress, their edition on every stage of the project.
Challenge
The client turned to us with the problem of the lack of an efficient applicant tracking system.
In the old one, it was hard to find an appropriate candidate in a short time. There was also a problem with non-compliance with the requirements of GDPR.
Another case was a lack of a client database.
The next problem was the need for having an integrated calendar for recruitment team members.
Last but not least was a lack of any possibility of measurements of the recruitment processes. Finally, the company and the Recruitment Team needed a space to put know-how and lesson-learned materials.
Technology Stack
Java, Bootstrap, Hibernate, Spring, MySQL, jQuery, Elasticsearch, HTML/CSS.
Scope of project
Design, implementation of frontend and backend layer, implementation of API.
Time and Material settlement.
The software development team
The team consisted of 3 software developers (Front-end, Back-end, and Full-stack), one UX/UI Designer, and one Product Manager.
The final result
We have created an ATS, a modular web application, that allowed our customer to plan and coordinate the activities of several departments of the company at the same time.
It shortened the entire recruitment process and reduced recruitment costs.
