Infinite Red has been designing, building and shipping web and mobile apps for over 10 years. Our front-end team specializes in web and mobile design and development in React.js and React Native on both iOS and Android. Our back-end team builds websites, web applications, and APIs in Node, Elixir/Phoenix, and Ruby on Rails. And our design team can create beautiful and useful user experiences.

We can work with you to develop your entire app, start to finish, or come in to help out along the way. Whether you need an MVP designed and developed or if you need to augment your current team with our React.js, React Native, Node, or Ruby/Elixir experts, we can do that too. We can rescue a struggling project, provide advice and direction, and train your developers in the finer points of building iOS, Android, and web applications.

Footprint is a traveler’s best friend. It’s the go-to app for anyone who wants to share their journeys with friends and family. Early involvement on this project allowed us to have a hand in the end-to-end experience of this app. From the first interactions a user has with the custom travel map, to the reliability and fast performance searching through thousands of cities worldwide. Footprint is a responsive web app built on

the incredible Elixir/Phoenix framework that allows for a project of this size to be possible.

Fandor Mobile App Image

Fandor Mobile App

Fandor came to us looking for expert consulting with their first version of the iPhone and iPad apps already in the app store. Fandor is a video streaming website for independent and foreign films, like The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. They wanted to significantly improve their user experience and deliver a high-quality app that’s expected from their multitude of users. We mentored their upgrade process, built key features for

version 2.0 of their iOS app, and rewrote version 3.0 of their iOS app in React Native. A few days after launching in the Apple App Store, it was featured in the “Best New App” section.

Services Provided:

  • Technology Consultation

"We really appreciate all the help Infinite Red provided to us when building our app: mentoring, building features, and fixing hard to find bugs. They were always available, always professional, and a real pleasure."

Dan Aronson, CTO, Fandor

Fortis Riders iOS and Android App Image

Fortis Riders iOS and Android App

Fortis Riders, a high-end chauffeur and private jet service, wanted their mobile apps updated to deliver a truly premium experience and to be made iOS 11-ready at the same time. A crucial component was ensuring that the user experience was effortless and cohesive across multiple apps. In the end, we designed four mobile apps and developed two of them in parallel.

Services Provided:

  • Mobile
Design
  • Custom Iconography
  • UX Strategy & User Flows
  • Full Wireframes
  • Visual Design
  • Prototype
  • iOS and Android apps written in React Native
  • To give the Fortis apps a luxury feel, our design team created custom hand-drawn icons specific to Fortis as well as a comprehensive design system for any of the apps to pull from. We also had to decide how the apps should communicate and interconnect behind the scenes. If one thing changed in the Passengers app, for example, it needed to update the other apps.

At every stage of the decision-making process, we put the user first. We dug deep into the types of people who would be using these products, exploring what their day-to-day was like and how Fortis might seamlessly fit into their lives and routines. Then we designed the apps—their flow, their aesthetic, their function—around the user, ensuring that each step felt natural and consistent. The result? A sleek, smooth app system that delivers a first-class experience to a discerning audience.

    Docibr Responsive Web App Image

    Docibr Responsive Web App

We designed a responsive web app for Docibr, a career coaching service, that provides access to information and resources job seeking professionals need, all in one place. This included smaller things like editing their information and desired career paths. It also meant that we needed to make content easily accessible, whether they're on the go or at their desk. To do this we added a detailed overview showing what's been done,

what's left, and what they'll need to do next. This made it easy to jump back in where they left off, even if it's been two hours or two days since the last login.

    Services Provided:

    • User Journey Mapping
    • Information Architecture
    • User Experience Design
    • Visual Design
    • Custom Illustration
    • Branding & Strategy

The Infinite Red team worked with Docibr to create their brand from the ground up. We researched their market and created a full brand discovery to establish their unique identity. They also needed a custom illustration to help guide users through the app. This illustration needed to be flexible enough to show different expressions throughout the app based on the content. We went through several rounds of iterations before landing on a final (adorable) style.

The final result is a streamlined service that guides job-seeking professionals through their career journey. Our goal was to make it as easy as possible—the last thing someone needs when job hunting is added stress!

    Bukowski's Market Mobile App Image

    Bukowski's Market Mobile App

It’s always energizing when we get to work with teams in the international community, and Bukowskis was no exception. This online auction site from Stockholm, Sweden came to us looking for a complete reworking of their iOS mobile app for iPhone. We worked with them on a custom design that would engage users in the bidding process on products that they care about. While working on Bukowskis, our development team really stepped

up their game by creating a React Native mobile app from the ground up. The high level of detail and care for reusable components on the project would eventually branch off and become Ignite, our popular library for React Native.

    Services Provided:

    • Discovery & Strategy
    • UI/UX Design
    • Development

Elemeno Web and Mobile App Image

    Elemeno Web and Mobile App

Elemeno came to us looking for a long-term partnership ranging from expertise in user experience to custom React Native development. By bringing a fun and encouraging app into the hands of doctors and medical staff, Elemeno was able to create a truly unique app. Not only did their approach reduce missteps in healthcare procedures, but it also had users looking forward to using it again. We helped them in creating a unique user

experience, and we partnered with them on a web app and React Native mobile app for the iPhone.

    Services Provided:

    • User Experience Design
    • Custom Visual Design
    • Custom React Native Development

"They took our prototype and built it into a working production MVP, and quickly adapted to changes as we did customer development."

    Ed Nanale, Elemeno, Co-Founder

    Blendspace Mobile App Image

    Blendspace Mobile App

In building the Blendspace mobile app, our engineers raised the bar for interactive development on React Native. The core functionality of the app is to create an educational course in under 5 minutes. In order to achieve that, our engineering team had to get creative in avoiding unnecessary elements that would cause the app to be sluggish. We’re incredibly proud of how smooth this app runs using the React Native framework.

    Arcade City Mobile App Image

    Arcade City Mobile App

Arcade City isn't your typical ride-sharing network. The company combines blockchain, peer-to-peer collaboration, and local driver cooperatives to put power back in the hands of individual drivers and riders.

To translate Arcade City’s groundbreaking concept into a great app, we led them through a design process seeking true ease of use, measurable goals, and striking visuals. As a 100% remote company, we kicked things

off with a virtual whiteboarding session between our designers and David’s team. That discovery meeting led to a clear set of objectives to drive and inform our product discovery and development strategy. We completed wireframing to greybox the user interface, to structure information, and to demonstrate functionality, and developed the first round of visual design to find the look and feel of the unique Arcade City brand experience.

We worked with Arcade City to translate the company's ambitious vision into a fully functional, beautifully designed mobile app featuring an intuitive user experience, custom illustration and iconography, and a cutting-edge technological foundation powered by React Native, Phoenix, and Ethereum.

"If you want consumer-focused user experience and solid technology to back that—and have it all handled thoroughly—you should definitely go with Infinite Red."

    Chris David, CEO, Arcade City

Infinite Red, Inc. delivered streamlined products that satisfied multiple stakeholders and increased site traffic for one third-party client. The team was transparent and accessible to address inquiries rapidly. They provided valuable insights and solutions, which led to multiple engagements.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

    BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a senior project manager for an advertising agency.

    OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Infinite Red, Inc.?

While I was with a different agency, we had a client with a big website that needed updates. A previous development partner built the full website for us. When we needed the updates, our developer wasn't able to take the work.

    SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Infinite Red, Inc. took over the development of a client’s website. We worked with them continuously on our client’s website updates.

Their team also redeveloped our agency site. They helped us with planning the platform. Their team helped us plan our CMS and the platform's UI.

Infinite Red also built a website for a nonprofit client using Flash. It was a massive undertaking that involved tons of content. Their team came to really understand the organization and gave suggestions. They figured out the best CMS for the client based on their appetite because the client would ultimately be updating the site.

There was another large project that their team supported. The project was a massive meal kit delivery site.

The last project that I worked on with them while at my previous company was for a video production studio. Their team created the website.

    What is the team composition?

The size of the team depended on the project. We worked with between 3–7 people all in all. Different people came in at different portions of the project.

How did you come to work with Infinite Red, Inc.?

Our previous developers were too busy to update our client’s website and the project’s budget wasn’t big enough. They recommended Infinite Red, which took over the project and it was seamless.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $200,000–$1 million all in all.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them in 2012 and our last project together wrapped up in 2016. Since then, I’ve moved and started working for a different agency. We haven’t worked with them yet. If there is an opportunity, I immediately think of Infinite Red even though I’m in a different city.

    RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I couldn’t see working with another development partner. An advertising agency website project can be a bear because there are so many stakeholders. It’s hard to get people to make decisions and there are always changes. Anything that we wanted, they were able to help us achieve. The sites performed well and our clients were happy.

The website for our nonprofit client was highly successful. They got a lot more traffic and engagement, which made them happy. It was difficult because they had a strict budget, but things naturally change with development projects. Their team was helpful in trying to do what they could within the budget. The client was so happy with the whole experience that she came to us with another project.

How did Infinite Red, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Infinite Red was buttoned-up and anticipated any of our questions. We had regular check-ins and their team was responsive, so I never had to wait long for a response. If they didn’t have time to respond fully, they always told us that they didn’t have an answer yet but would get back to us.

I had no problem getting them on the phone with clients. Before I started anything, I engaged with them because they had our best interests and our client’s best interests in mind. Their team was cognizant of budgets and let us know about any possible issues ahead of time.

They were a great support system. I felt comfortable putting them in front of our clients. When we had to make changes, they were flexible, which is unusual for development teams. Their attitude was amazing. They were nice, understanding, and helpful about everything.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re great developers but also the way that they work with their clients sets them apart. Their demeanor and kindness go a long way. They don’t just have the brains. Their levels of professionalism and empathy set them apart. Their mindset was illustrated in everything that they did. When it came to budgets, they were understanding and proactive. When it came to sharing bad news, they were really great about providing solutions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This was years ago, but I told them to not be afraid about telling me if a project’s going to take longer. I asked them to tell me if I gave them a request that isn’t realistic.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Utilize and leverage them. Engage them early in a project. Allow them to help with the scoping and strategy of a project.

The Infinite Red, Inc. team is communicative and organized, always staying available to answer questions.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

    BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the founder of a company called Sellebrate, and we are a buyer and seller platform for all kinds of equipment tools, and spaces used for events.

    OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Infinite Red, Inc.?

We worked with them to develop our mobile application.

    SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They walked us through the app creation process all the way from the idea in my mind to publishing to the app store. Their team built everything from the home page, location page, and an inspiration page, to an in-app messaging and payment systems and profile functionality.

The app itself was built to be cross-platform on both iOS and Android. Beyond that, they developed my pitch deck and helped me put together research and a plan for presenting the application to investors when the prototype was completed.

    What is the team composition?

Over the course of the project, I worked with the owner and his assistant, as well as a project manager, three designers, and three developers as well.

How did you come to work with Infinite Red, Inc.?

I had heard about the owner through a personal connection, so I went to his website to see what kind of projects he had done. The quality of work there was really impressive so we had an intro phone call to see if my idea would be a good fit, and we decided to move forward from there.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost so far is around $180,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started the project in April 2019 and are continuing to work together.

    RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’ve been tracking the activity on the builds that they’ve delivered for me and have been pretty satisfied with the quality of work and the engagement we’re getting as a result of it. Things are going very well so far.

How did Infinite Red, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is brilliant. It has been an incredibly easy job to stay on top of because they do such a good job of staying on track on their own, but also keeping me updated about all of their progress and communicating quickly whenever either of us has a question.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The sheer amount of communication impressed me right from the start of our work together. Everyone on their team makes themselves available if I have any questions or am confused about anything, and they’re very easy to access through Zoom, or Slack, or even text message.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’re not the cheapest developer out there, but you definitely get the quality of product that you pay for, so that’s not something I would really fault them for.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be teachable. If you trust their development expertise and put effort into learning alongside them, you will be able to handle all of the app maintenance and ownership in the future because of the level of instruction that they provide. It’s really important to take advantage of that.
