I’m an executive at JurisCase. We offer a platform for attorneys to search case law.
What challenge were you trying to address with industrialax?
We engaged industrialax to build the platform for us.
What was the scope of their involvement?
industrialax has developed the platform as a cloud-based legal resource database. I believe they use SQL, JavaScript, and AngularJS to build the back- and frontend. We work together on a per-task basis: we send industrialax a description of what we want and how we want it, and they make it exactly to our specifications.
One of the features that industrialax built is multi-level search functionality. By using indexing and algorithms, the legal database’s UI/UX is more streamlined than that of any competitor out there. industrialax also included text summaries that give bullet point overviews of each court opinion. The platform includes organization tools so that researchers can organize their findings, take notes on each case, and create a unique library that they can use in the future.
What is the team composition?
I mainly work with Anthony (Director of Operations, industrialax). I’ve spoken with a few other team members as well, including a server-side specialist and a frontend designer.
How did you come to work with industrialax?
My brother—who’s also my business partner on this project—found them online. I’m glad he did—we’ve had a great experience working with Anthony.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started in June 2017 and is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The user-friendliness of the platform is unparalleled. Competitor platforms offer a very outdated, slow, and inefficient experience for attorneys and researchers. With our solution, users can find the right and relevant court cases in a fraction of the time.
How did industrialax perform from a project management standpoint?
We use ClickUp, a task management software tool that lets us create and assign tasks for industrialax to then pick up and get done. Having worked with many developers in the past, it’s the best way to work with developers I’ve experienced. industrialax is incredibly easy to work with.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The main thing is communication. Anthony is always there for us; any time I text or email him, even if it’s midnight, he’ll reply immediately. industrialax regularly follows up and has never disappeared on us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I’m very satisfied with them.

We’ve been working with industriaLAX for a diverse range of projects, including for web development and nonprofit organization. They also provided us with a database platform for management reporting that included online scheduling and payment.
We start every project by scoping and reviewing the requirements. We then look at the practicality of the development, and ultimately finalize the budget to determine the timeline and deliverables.

The communication has been quite good, and they will act upon whatever your needs and concerns are. We mainly interact through email, phone calls, and text messaging.

They’re adjusting their process to our speed so it’s been quite slow but other than that, they’re doing really good work.

On-Truck provides a virtual network connecting truckers and shippers to get fast delivery from different locations. I, as a COO, am responsible for business operations. I highly rely on our software automation solutions to provide on-time service to our customers.
For what projects/services did your company hire industriaLAX, and what were your goals?
We were looking for a reliable software development company with reasonable pricing. There was a real challenge to connect brokers and managers with drivers all over the states.
The issue is that drivers are constantly moving and do not always have a reliable internet connection. We were also on a limited budget. One of our requirements was to know the budget upfront.
How did you select industriaLAX and what were the deciding factors?
We found them through the referral of one of our customers. We were talking to several software development companies. However, Anthony provided us with a clear road map, helped us choose the technologies scope, and gave us a reasonable budget.

At the project’s first step, we looked to have an operational system for shippers. So, we could start working with shippers and form a database. The next step was developing an interface for shipment companies. So they could work with the database on their own. Then, we needed an interface for drivers to see the shipment information from their phones at the next step.
Finally, we needed to build a user-friendly process to standardize and automate the communication process between shippers and drivers. That part was quite challenging as we were unsure how to eliminate hundreds of varieties into a standardized process. Industrialax expertise was on top of this. All of this was done exceptionally. They always provide the result on top of expectations.

We mainly worked with 2-3 people from the team. Anthony personally took part in every each conversation. That helped a lot to have everything under control.

With the help and hard work of the IndustriaLAX team, we were always on schedule with deliverables.

They also use management software like Asana and Jira. That always helped us track the project stages and understand where we are within each project step.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The most impressive and unique is a style of communication. We always had direct contact with Anthony. We could text him in the middle of a weekend and have an immediate response.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I believe that they are doing very well.
The platform reduces a tedious process’s time length significantly. industrialax continues to develop and support the tool thanks to their high-quality work so far. Their ability to communicate, reply immediately, and remain transparent makes for a seamless workflow.
