I initially hired IndeedSEO to handle our SEO initiatives. They’ve since started handling our PPC as well. We started the engagement with a discussion with their business manager and technology head. They briefed me about the things that needed to be improved on the website in terms of technical SEO and provided me with a detailed explanation of SEO and how it works.
After that, they provided me with a brief containing a detailed audit report and a plan of action, which included their initial recommendations on what we needed to change on our website to improve our SEO. After implementing their recommendations, we monitored the results on a weekly plan of action basis and had meetings to discuss our next steps. This has been our process for the past year.
Aside from that, IndeedSEO also helps with our keyword research. I opted for their 100-keyword plan per year. They also run our paid ads on Facebook and Google Ads and create graphic design and visual assets for our ads.

As of the moment, 85 out of our 100 keywords are ranking in the top 10 positions. Our sales also increased from 3–4 per month to 3–4 per week, and we’re getting an increase in the number our number of leads, calls, and inquiries received. Because of these great results, I’ve decided to expand our paid media.

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?

IndeedSEO’s project management is excellent. They provide weekly and monthly updates and lead regular meetings to discuss our next plan of action. I get incredibly busy sometimes, so they have to chase me for approvals.
We primarily communicate through email, phone calls, Google Meet, and Zoom meetings.

I would like to give a shout-out to Shivang (Head of Marketing). I interact with him the most, and he’s the one who initially made me understand how everything works. He guided me through the initial process, and he’s the reason I decided to invest in them for our Google Ads as well.

1. There was no improvement in the organic traffic in 6 months of working with them - infact it went down a bit 
2. They promised 200-250 backlinks every month - delivered less than 100 each month - that too very low quality 
3. Ranking for some of our keywords improved but those keywords were any way improving month on month before they had joined

Absolutely horrible with respect to delivery of promised deliverables. They didn't even deliver on 50% of the promise. On raising concerns, they would just cook some stories. They infact just created a bunch of 800 fake links to tell us that deliverables are complete. On exposing them on doing this, they just went completely radio silence and removed all access of all the work reports. They literally SCAMMED us - we paid them in full and now have zero deliverables to show and no results to show as well

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Nothing is impressive. Infact, if any prospective companies are considering them, please save yourself from SCAM and find some better agencies (they would definitely be among the worst of the lot). Haven't worked with any other vendor with such low work ethic in the past. Their uniqueness definitely has been the way they have been able to clean their image through fake reviews (uploaded by their employees only) and eventually SCAMMING future customers

Are there any areas for improvement or something IndeedSEO could have done differently?

They lack customer empathy. Instead of accepting their mistakes, they just chose the path to fool us which is a BIG RED FLAG. Please avoid them at all costs. Mailed their CEO/Founder (Gurpreet) as well - seems like she herself is in delusion - heck, she doesn't even have the courtesy to reply - speaks a lot about why the company is the way it is

We did a couple of interviews with at least 3 other companies. We selected this one because of the commitment, timeframe and pricing they offered to us.

We requested an SEO audit prior to the website migration. The audit was done in time and covered all the specified terms. Actually, we kinda messed up because we provided a different URL and they had to re-do the whole audit. Luckily for us, these guys offer top-quality services and audited the correct site without extra cost.

I believe they assigned a project manager to our case and at least 2 SEO specialist revised our website pre-migration so we launched the new website with no mayor complications.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

In the audit for the pre migration they didn't just provided us with a snapshot of what was the website before but also showed us some interesting improvement points. We are currently applying those corrections and will soon have the post-migration audit.

They provided state-of-the-art auditing services and customer support. Their communications were on point, using email, we required nothing else. Their report was offered in an easy-to-read PDF document containing all the findings along with the improvement recommendations. Their report is color coded and categorized in such a ay that is easy to identify the most urgent changes.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their service. We mest up and yet, they complied. Not just doubled the work but provided us with results in a timely manner as well.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Perhaps the report could be also delivered in a digital format where we could go and visit from time to time in a platform like "google Data Studio" or something similar.

We were doing pretty well, but most of our business came in through referrals on Instagram. Everything was getting postponed because of COVID-19 and we wanted to reach a wider audience when the world opened up. 

Additionally, our business was heavily focused on weddings in New Jersey and Philadelphia, and we wanted to expand our focus to destination weddings and weddings outside the US. The goal was to upscale our offerings.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have a lot of inquiries coming our way to the point where we sometimes don’t know how we’re going to respond to all of them. Currently, we’re booked until September of next year. 

According to their reports, we’re ranking for all 20 keywords that we’re targeting. They keep our keyword tracker updated, but I still go to Google and see how we’re ranking.  Previously, we only ranked for three out of 20 keywords — two at position 55 and one at 66 — and now we’re ranking in the top 10 or five for all of them. 

SEO takes a few months to rank for, and IndeedSEO was very transparent about that from the beginning. We began wondering if we should keep investing in SEO or make the switch to Instagram, and we decided to give them 1–2 more months. We started seeing really good results, so we don’t have any plans to stop working with them in the near future. 

How did IndeedSEO perform from a project management standpoint?

When we were building trust at the outset, we needed more communication. They sent me weekly reports at that time, but I’m always able to check their live tracker without them sharing it. 

Initially, I had a lot of questions about blogs and the other services they were offering us, and they were responsive. Now, we’re comfortable with what they do and how they do it; we trust them. A lot of communication isn’t required at this point. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Finding someone to do SEO was a hassle, and I was very happy when I found IndeedSEO. They’ve lived up to their promised results, and at some stages have delivered suggestions for our website that have really helped us out. 

They are great communicators as well, so they are easy to work with. If I don’t understand something, it’s alright; Indeed will break it down in simple language. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t see anything lacking — they deliver what they promise, so I don’t have any complaints. Perhaps they could have better quality writers, however.

I would definitely recommend IndeedSEO. Their package is decently priced and worthwhile.

IndeedSEO took one month for research and discovery, and we then signed a contract and established the keywords we were going to target, as well as the PPC value of each keyword.

We focused on 60 keywords to start, and we expanded that list when our budget expanded. Then, we started targeting several cities in Canada, Italy, and the US.

IndeedSEO recommended a lot of changes to our website as well, including title tags and structural improvements to help the speed of the site. Finally, they post on social media for us.

There are four different people I connect with. There’s a customer relation manager, someone who takes care of the store and the SEO, a graphic designer who designs all the posts and content for my social media, and a developer if I need any kind of plugin. 

There’s one more person that has been taking care of all my projects specifically but I didn’t interact with him as much. He’s the managing director of the company.

They delivered what we expected. As of yesterday, they’ve provided us 600% more traffic compared to six weeks ago. It was a really huge boost. 

IndeedSEO’s services also gave us a really good ranking on the Google page. They’re still working on it. It’s not on the top of the Google search engine but it is on the first page. It was really good.

How did IndeedSEO perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management style is really good. Anything that bothered me or any kind of reports or requests that I wanted, they provided it immediately. I can’t remember any kind of delay that I had. In some places, they provided me some extra services. 

Once, I requested to implement something on my store and they implemented it on the wrong portion of the page. When I asked them to change it, they did so right away and they gave us a few extra features on top of that.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They did a really great job. I’m really happy with their SEO service. That’s been really noticeable. We have connections who have given us feedback that we’re growing really fast when it comes to SEO. They weren’t expecting a new store to rank this well this quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be a little quicker with small tasks. I gave them plenty of time to complete all kinds of work but sometimes, when there’s a very small job, they still took an hour or two to complete it even though it was a five-minute job. I didn’t give them a time limit that they have to complete the job though.

You’ll have a good experience working with IndeedSEO. They’re really good at what they do. They deliver what they promise. Just go with them. Their service is great.

There were banners showing on the website with a lot of warnings. We had an urgent issue come up the night before a new campaign was launching. When we reached out, they were not responsive. We had to call several times before getting an answer.

We felt they did not deliver what was promised, and we canceled our contract, asking for money back.

How did IndeedSEO perform from a project management standpoint?

They were not available or responsive. When they did meet a deadline, it was due to my pushing them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They did not deliver the promised services. They were not professional or timely in their actions. We didn’t feel that they treated our issues with any kind of importance.

Seerion Technologies has two brands: medical devices and branding and IT consulting. We’ve been in business for about 10 years, and most of our focus has been in life sciences and healthcare. We also work for other industries.

What challenge were you trying to address with IndeedSEO?

We were trying to develop a digital marketing platform, especially for our medical sales environment. It’s a fast-moving space, and it’s very easy to get crowded out, so our challenge was developing an effective digital marketing program that would provide both organic search traffic and the ability to develop other areas of the digital marketing platform.

We reached out to IndeedSEO from more of an organic search perspective, to improve our SEO capabilities. We’d worked with another company prior to them, for a couple of months, but we felt we weren’t moving in the right direction from a strategic perspective. We started looking for other potential partners, and we selected IndeedSEO mainly because we wanted to have a very strong focus on developing our organic traffic, which is more process-driven and less immediate than ad traffic.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We wanted to have both organic and nonorganic traffic, and we hired IndeedSEO to help us develop SEO backlinks and make sure that our website was optimized both on-page and off-page. They also assessed our website from a technical perspective, for both mobile and desktop traffic.

We have our own website development team, so we didn’t use them for that, but they definitely made some suggestions. They looked at our competitors and at our customer journey and identified around 50 keywords. We changed our website to reflect some of those keywords naturally, but that was done more through our internal development.

Their key focus was really to make sure we were developing the right backlinks and that we were doing interesting or exciting off-page optimization. We wanted them to keep to that lane because that’s where we felt we were getting the most bang for the buck. Of course, they developed a lot of content on their own, and we have our own content.

We use our own tools, like SEMrush, to assess whether the work is being done correctly, what insights we can get from the backlinks. There are issues with website toxicity, performance, and the kind of traffic we’re getting. We’re trying to drill down even deeper, to see what keywords are causing the traffic and what we can do to manage it. It’s a journey, and I expect them to narrow down the keywords even further in another six months.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with around four people from their team. We have one go-to person, who has calls with us every Friday. We also work with their client success manager, who checks in periodically and is also in charge of billing. We don’t have much exposure to their internal team, but they do respond back to our questions. I believe the team is on-site. They’re overall responsive, and I can’t complain about the work they’ve done.

How did you come to work with IndeedSEO?

I do my research on Clutch and similar sites. I’ve been burned a few times, so I try to go by what you and other market research companies say. Being a small company, we do our own research, which can be hit and miss.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $75,000–$100,000 with them so far. [It’s not made clear whether or not IndeedSEO handles PPC for them, and it’s not specified whether that figure is just their fee.]

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with IndeedSEO around June 2019, and it’s ongoing. We’re very performance-based. I monitor the progress of our keywords week by week. Invariably, there’s progress every week, and there’s big progress in some months. It’s a weekly journey with IndeedSEO.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The challenge was getting us to the first page of Google results, and the results after six months were fairly effective, in my judgment. IndeedSEO was able to get us on the first page for about 50% of the targeted keywords.

We look at metrics by phases. In the first phase, we specified what our keywords were and who our competitors were, wanting to know what it would take us to get to the first page. We wanted at least 20% of our keywords to get to the first page by the end of the first phase, which we set at 3–4 months. Along with that, we wanted to make sure that our websites were optimized for on-page SEO as well.

For the next phase, which was three months, the metric was not only increasing keyword rankings from 20% to 30%, but we also started monitoring the traffic that was created after we started doing this work. We definitely saw a good uptick on the traffic.

The third phase is taking 3–6 months. We were trying to add to our line of services, in terms of colleges and ministries in the US. We were trying to go after the educational market a bit more, because there are a lot of young kids competing in the medical device space. We spent some time analyzing the market. The third phase is focused on increasing traffic and figuring out how our top 10 keywords connect to our traffic.

How did IndeedSEO perform from a project management standpoint?

They were thorough in sharing with us. We had weekly meetings, where they walked us through the 20-or-so areas they were looking into, including video traffic, text traffic, and different areas where they were helping us develop backlinks.

It’s been a collaborative effort. We have a call every Friday, looking at all the results they produce week by week. It’s not easy to get results every week, but I definitely want to make sure they’re making progress.

It’s been around nine months, and we’re very pleased with them. They seem to be low-key and practical people. There’s a lot of people in the digital marketing space that do high-level talking, but, when it comes to real work, it’s like finding a needle in the haystack.

I find them to be fair and reasonable people. The other vendors I contacted felt more robotic. These guys are personable.

We insist on a weekly call, and there are around 20 worksheets they send us every week. There’s a lot of visibility to their work. I find them reasonable to deal with from a project management perspective. I’ve been a partner at IBM for 20 years, so I understand the whole concept of performance metrics and what it takes.

I’m pretty hands-on internally, and I think that they deliver what they say. They don’t overpromise. Also, when things need to be fine-tuned and we need to ask questions, they don’t get defensive. I find them to be fairly reasonable people to deal with.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We did our research, and we initially chose a company that was rated higher than IndeedSEO. We worked with them for two months, but we just felt that it wasn’t strategic. They weren’t guiding us in terms of where they were going.

They were doing the work they were supposed to do, but there were no explanations on why they were doing something, what they could do to improve something, and so on. With IndeedSEO, I feel that they’re giving us the service, and they’re willing to get back to us on any question they can’t answer immediately.

They don’t overpromise: they understand what the customer’s looking for, and they work diligently to deliver. We’re based in the US and they’re based in India, and there’s an art of working together. I think there’s a lot of value they can provide to their global customers, in terms of collaboration abilities.

On the technical side, they’ve delivered on the metrics we requested, and I find them reasonable to work with. Their project management skills are reasonable, and they’re able to listen to the customer and explain why something we’re asking for may be unreasonable. They’re easy to deal with. I find them to be very collaborative in their approach to the customer.

Are there any areas they could improve?

One thing that could help us is them adding a more strategic component to the whole thing. Digital marketing platforms and the whole world of SEO are very exciting but very involved. IndeedSEO could provide more strategic guidance to help us align the deliverables with business objectives, in terms of ROI.

This is probably a difficult ask, requiring multiple areas of digital marketing. I believe IndeedSEO’s expertise is mostly on the SEO side. I don’t know if they have other capabilities, but that’s what we’ve been using them for. Customers would welcome that leadership role, especially in the US.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I’d advise them to be clear on what they’re looking for, and not just rush into what the website says or what they’ll say. They should make sure that IndeedSEO shares with them what’s doable and what’s not, and that they come to a common understanding on what needs to be accomplished. That way, expectations won’t be set unrealistically either way, high or low.

It’s important to have good management practices, and insist on project collaboration. Clients should have weekly calls, stay involved in project management, and be results-driven. That side should be squared away with them, so that expectations are set clearly on both sides
