Please describe your company and your position there.
I am an artist and independent filmmaker for a production company. I am an actress, writer, director and producer.
For what projects/services did your company hire incast?
InCast hired me as a content creator for a campaign they partnered with an app tech company called LikeeApp. I was supposed to log a minimum requirement of live feeds.
What were your goals for this project?
I wanted to share wholesome, genuine content to help gain more of an authentic following. I also have been majorly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and I have been in a financial crisis. I will admit, I regret signing up for this campaign during a vulnerably desperate time when I needed money, so I was willing to say yes to almost anything.
How did you select incast?
InCast selected me through an acting submission site.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Influencer marketing - you can find their 'supposed' mission statement, business partnerships, etc. here: https://www.incast.us/likee?utm_source=Likee+US+-+onboarding&utm_campai…
What was the team composition?
The InCast team was supposedly founded and is run by CEO Vera Kopp - a wannabe actress/model. She then has a very disorganized, inconsistent responsive team of @jobs and @sales team member representatives (who knows how many).
When you visit the LinkedIn profile, it looks questionably sketch, as it appears that there are hundreds of employees at InCast, which is not true. Most people are either 'shareholders' of InCast or content creators for the company (like me). https://www.linkedin.com/company/incast/about/
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
I am warning all true artists out there, DO NOT join the InCast team as a content creator! This is a major scam that takes advantage of talented, vulnerable artists. They will not truly support you or have your back when you get attached by 'online sex offenders' during these campaigns. InCast partners with dominating tech apps that do not protect the curators at all.
I am now an official victim...this has been a traumatizing nightmare, especially during this pandemic year. The last I heard from one of the InCast team members (August 2020), was that this would be resolved and that I would receive my direct deposit payment as soon as possible...
I have yet to receive any payment or communication since then. I had to resort to contacting the supposed 'Founder and CEO' of InCast on LinkedIn and now here I am… The supposed 'Founder & CEO' Vera Kopp has been brushing me off the last few days, and simply wants to point blame on 'the LikeeApp'.
She actually told me in a poorly written email, ‘we have tried everything and ALL we could’, after months of inconsistent responses. I have never had a company not pay me because they did not get paid on their end.
Why is and was her team so inconsistent with communication about a major 'non-payment' from a 'tech company' she partnered with on several campaigns? Vera Kopp seems to be pursuing the arts as well as an actress/model.
As the CEO of this company, she did not genuinely acknowledge or apologize for the trauma I experienced as a female artist with a perverted sex offender joining my Live feed, with no ability to kick / block the offender.
Even worse, I still have not gotten paid for my creative services and time contributed to the InCast Campaign partnered with the LikeeApp this June 2020. I have tried to file an official complaint with the BBB but the company does not come up.
After extensive research, I discovered a sketchy, odd connection with a SF based tech company called CrunchBase Inc. Does Vera Kopp have an alias company name on purpose so she can avoid this major complaints?!?
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Not effective at all. This is an unethical, despicable business that takes advantage of artists and is clearly for profit.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Nothing. This is an unethical, despicable business that takes advantage of artists and is clearly for profit.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I had a terrible, traumatizing experience using the LikeeApp and participating in the InCast curator campaign this June 2020. I am now an official victim of an 'online sex offender'.
The LikeeApp along with the InCast team has completely mishandled and brushed all of this over, and now I have not gotten paid for my creative services and time contributed to your app. I have been completely misled and misrepresented by the InCast team.
InCast wasn't able to provide communication and haven't settled any payment for the engagement. The collaborator noted that the vendor takes advantage of artists for profit. They were unethical.
