Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the VP of customer success at Buzztag; we’re a promotional marketing and branding company. We customize branding and campaigns for global and domestic companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with Inbound AV?

I’ve been in the technology industry for about 25 years and have always relied on a CRM tool. When I came to Buzztag after leaving Google, we used tools like Trello, but we primarily used manual processes and spreadsheets to manage the company. One of my challenges was to bring Buzztag into the 21st century from a technology perspective. My goal was to set up a CRM through HubSpot and implement a sales and marketing hub. 

Buzztag had previously hired a development partner to rebrand their website, but they didn’t have the necessary skill sets to deliver a high-quality website, and we were on track to miss our launch deadline. We wanted to work with a local partner who could help us onboard our team to HubSpot, rebuild our website, and provide ongoing managed services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Due to the nature of our industry, we deal with several suppliers and vendors daily, which creates many tasks. Inbound AV has helped automate our processes by setting up our HubSpot CRM, sales, and marketing hubs. They’ve also cleaned our customer data and migrated it to HubSpot. Additionally, the Inbound AV team has trained our employees to use the implemented tools.

The Inbound AV team also redeveloped, redesigned, and launched our website. We provided content, and they built the website from scratch. The website is hosted on HubSpot, but Inbound AV has continued to provide maintenance support and implement updates as needed. 

What is the team composition?

We’ve primarily worked with Peter (Founder & CEO), a project lead, and a website development manager.

How did you come to work with Inbound AV?

Inbound AV was a referral from our HubSpot customer success team. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested roughly $50,000–$75,000 in the partnership with Inbound AV.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with Inbound AV since January 2022; the partnership is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

How did Inbound AV perform from a project management standpoint?

Inbound AV has consistently met or exceeded our expectations from a project management standpoint. Since working with Inbound AV, we’ve established a great rapport and become pretty good friends. Communicating with them has felt like speaking with our internal team; it’s been effortless. They’ve been flexible regarding technology tools and adapted to our environment. We’ve used Slack, Zoom, and Google Meet to maintain contact. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve been most impressed by their certifications, expertise, and willingness to support us. Inbound AV is a diamond HubSpot partner, which is a significant achievement, but they’ve helped us with many initiatives beyond HubSpot. Inbound AV has taken a superior, consultative approach, which has set them apart from competitors. They’ve listened and enabled us to reach our goals within our desired budget and timeline; I trust them implicitly. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing Inbound AV could improve on; we’ve been very satisfied with the partnership. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I advise investing significant time into communicating your desired technology stack and outcomes so that you can build an effective working relationship with Inbound AV.

For what projects/services did your company hire Inbound AV?

We needed a HubSpot implementation for our new marketing effort, which is a large and relatively complicated awards program.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was recommended to the founder of Inbound AV and was convinced with his mastery of his field, and the quality of his team.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

I needed a ground-up implementation of HubSpot. I needed customized Company types, Contact types, I needed automated workflows, customized reports, and integrations with my website.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I was assigned a team of 3 HubSpot implementation experts.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within a week they had the system up and running, and within a week after that all of the custom components were completed.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Everything was completed on time. Bugs were quickly eliminated.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

This is the first time I've implemented HubSpot. I have worked with SalesForce at other companies, and my experience was uniformly terrible--can't fully say whether that was due to Salesforce, the implementers, or both. With HubSpot and Inbound AV, the entire process was quick and painless. Hallelujah!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I had to find some of the bugs myself. That said, once I pointed them out, they corrected them.
