My Wine Canada
My Wine Canada is an online retail platform, which was first developed in early 2015. Today, it's the biggest online marketplace for multiple wineries and distilleries to sell their products.
Customers can also get gift certificates on the platform and sort wines according to their preferences, prices, or regions
It's an extensive platform for true wine lovers. Each vendor has to go through an approval process before receiving access to the vendor portal.
This is one of our biggest projects, as the number of wineries that display their products on the platform exceeds one hundred.

Urkompagniet
Urkompagniet is one of the leading watch shops in Denmark and on the Scandinavian market. It offers a wide selection of watches in boutiques around Denmark and several online stores operating in more than 10 European countries.
The company gets 50,000 happy customers annually with a total product range selection of more than 20,000 items.
Urkompagniet’s website is one of the 16 most high-loaded Magento websites among those based on the same installation, each having from 1 to 5 language options and the support of more than 10 currency options.

Strikkia
Strikkia is a Norwegian B2C online retailer that sells tools for knitting, such as yarn, needles, and patterns. The unique service that Strikkia provides is the development of custom-made knitting patterns, along with the selection of matching yarns and essential tools for them.
We worked with the store in the past, and they have reached out again to bring the website to the new level with our expertise in Magento 2

Luhvee
Luhvee is a unique brand of a highly customized editor tool for personalized photo book creation. Our team developed a photo book tool and a special service that integrates the website with printing agencies to automate the print-out process.
We chose Magento as the order processing platform since it is integrated with QuickBooks, an online cloud accounting software. We also integrated Stripe and a testimonial system. Since there was a lack of similar solutions, we created a one-page application as the book editor tool from scratch using Angular & Fabric.js.

Fischer Ammersee
https://www.fischer-ammersee.com/shop/
FISCHER Ammersee is a German restaurant that also has an online store. It's a basic Magento shop that we migrated from Magento 1 to Magento 2, along with creating a custom responsive theme based on the provided design. The updated version of the store is simpler in use and more appealing.
We aimed at making this website one of the most striking examples of a quick, stylish, and beautiful online store with an extensive product range, from food and alcohol to leisure items and bathroom accessories

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a German web design agency. We provide concept, design and maintenance support to clients with WordPress and Magento sites. We also have print and corporate design customers.
What challenge were you trying to address with Impulsis?
We wanted to improve our Magento capacities: get better quality in less time. We needed a programming partner, but it’s hard to find a frontend and backend developer in Germany.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Impulsis provides front- and backend development in Magento for us. They adapt the wireframes and layouts we create, helping with designs when needed. They’re not only good developers, but also good designers. They’ve built a simple Magento shop, working on a total of 17 projects with our firm.
What is the team composition?
We usually communicate with Andry Geleta (Frontend Developer, Impulsis), but collaborate with a team of 10 designers and developers.
How did you come to work with Impulsis?
A colleague recommended companies in Ukraine to support development. We considered 20 agencies, reviewed three in detail and ultimately chose Impulsis.
How much have you invested with them?
So far, we’ve spent around €80,000 (approximately $90,000 USD) with Impulsis.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Impulsis in June 2018, and the collaboration is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Impulsis is a really good partner. When it comes to deadlines, their team is fast and reliable. They not only deliver but also think about projects. They’re focused and good with communication.
How did Impulsis perform from a project management standpoint?
We usually hold calls using Skype or WhatsApp, but our main tool is ActiveCollab, which Impulsis prefers. We’ve also used Jira. We typically go to the designers or developers to discuss project details, but sometimes it’s better to communicate with the project manager. We’re working to make the collaboration better, but that depends on both sides. Their team is willing to work as a partner.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They provide good feedback and briefings. We like working with Impulsis; they’re really nice people.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It’s also our responsibility, but they could focus more on one system to create a leaner process. This will be our main goal in the future: to be more process focused.

E-Commerce Magento Dev for Consumer Products
"They’ve delivered as promised at all times."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m one of the founders of an e-commerce company mainly selling watches. We were established in 2010, and we have 20–30 employees in total.
What challenge were you trying to address with Impulsis?
We hired them to create our first web shop.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Impulsis helped us select a technology, and they developed our entire Magento shop. Since then, they’ve created each one of our 14 shops, handling everything from design to the backend and special features we requested along the way. They’ve been our Magento developer and frontend designer. They’ve upgraded Magento for us several times and migrated the web shops we’d bought from other providers to Magento. Our ongoing project is upgrading from Magento 1.9 to Magento 2, and it’s a big task.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with a lot of people from their team over the years. I’m working closely with two of their project managers at the moment, and there are 5–6 people working on our tasks. Much of the work has been done by 2–3 programmers.
How did you come to work with Impulsis?
When we started up, we were trying to find someone to build the e-commerce website for us. We quickly decided on Magento, and I had a close friend who’d also run some online shops. He referred them to us.
How much have you invested with them?
The total has been above $50,000–$100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Impulsis in 2010. They’ve since finished a lot of projects for us, and we still have ongoing work.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We have only good things to say about them. We’ve worked closely with their project manager for several years, and they’re a dedicated and professional team. All the work they delivered to us has been of really high quality, and they’re thorough. They want to test a lot before allowing something to be pushed to our live system, they have very good attention to detail, and they get things working properly from the start.
They found great solutions for all the difficult challenges we faced, and they’ve developed a lot of custom code for the cases where there wasn’t a solution in place. We have a lot to thank them for, including the business they’ve helped us create from scratch.
How did Impulsis perform from a project management standpoint?
They have a good project management system, which made our communication much easier, and their project manager helped us along the way, finding the best solutions and explaining any questions we had regarding how things were being developed. We don’t have any in-house programmers, so they’ve handled all that work for us.
They’ve delivered as promised at all times. There’ve been small delays at times, but we’re talking only a few weeks. They were very good at planning and calculating their work time, and there haven’t been any big delays.
Their main project management tool is ActiveCollab, but most of our communication happens through Slack, Skype, and phone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’ve been very, very happy with their service. We have friends who’ve changed from Impulsis to other development agencies we had, and they actually ended up coming back to Impulsis.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, we’re happy. There’s a time difference of a few hours, but it’s not a big issue.

Magento Platform Dev for Magic Retailer
"Without them, we wouldn’t be where we are now."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m responsible for web maintenance, online presence, research development, and video editing for a multi-national magic tricks company. We create our own tricks and get revenue directly from retail sales.
What challenge were you trying to address with Impulsis?
We were moving from a solution that didn’t fulfill its promises or our needs, and we were migrating to Magento. We needed someone to manage our open source programming so we didn’t fall behind. Hiring a programmer full-time didn’t seem feasible, especially for a complicated piece of software like Magento, so we needed to outsource to another company.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We use their expertise and knowledge surrounding Magento. They’re constantly creating programs, modules, custom code, and things you can’t buy off the shelf. They know the website inside and out better than any of us.
We bring them our designs and they return with their feedback, ideas, and suggestions. We go back and forth. They’ve helped us go from a static desktop-only website to a responsive mobile-accessible platform. It was through their guidance that we were able to ensure that our site didn’t clutter screens and that the function was overall more important than form.
What is the team composition?
Initially, I started working with Yuri (Co-Founder, Impulsis). Now, I work with 2-3 point people. We have one main account manager that delegates the work to other people.
How did you come to work with Impulsis?
We initially reached out to a US company that outsourced some of their work to Impulsis. When the relationship with that US company went sour, we severed our contract with them and reached out to Impulsis directly. It was one of the smartest decisions we've ever made.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with Impulsis in 2009 and our relationship is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They do a lot of things to help us sell, such as creating custom code, fraud modules, and allowing our videos to stream. Without them, we wouldn’t be where we are now. Their detail and forethought have saved us time, money, and aggravation. They get things done on time and within the agreed upon price. They hold their quality of work in as high regard as we do ours.
How did Impulsis perform from a project management standpoint?
Everything they do is professional. If there’s ever anything we don’t understand, they take the extra time to explain it to us. They’ve never done things on their own, so that we’re always informed and making the final decision; for example, when we moved to our mobile responsive design, they took our ideas and then educated us on what was further needed
What did you find most impressive about them?
We love their attention to detail. They’ve taken some of our requests and added things to them that we didn’t know would be as important as they were. There were times when I’ve called them at eight AM and they’ve always been reachable. We consider them as important to the business as any other employee. Without them we couldn’t do the things we’re able to do and this relationship is important to us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We thought the eight-hour time difference would be an issue, but the positive to that is when I wake up, a lot of work is already completed on their end ready for testing. Additionally, since they’re a Ukranian company, sometimes there’s a language barrier so we have to make sure we're very clear with our communications. We have an account manager that's fluent in English who helps a lot in that regard. Overall, in our nine-year run, nothing ever caused us to start looking for a new vendor.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would listen to their advice. They’ve only ever given me good advice and when I didn’t take it, it cost money to repair the damages. We pay them for their expertise and they’ve never steered us wrong.
The upgraded website has been easier to use, and both the clients and company stakeholders were happy with the result. Impulsis communicated closely with the client, ensuring everyone was up to date about the project's progress. They were professional, meticulous, flexible, and responsive to issues.
