What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

All the biggest, most important mistakes have been eliminated. Application has been made available for users with all planned functionalities.

Any problems that were reported by us were not only resolved really quickly, but also very empathetically. All the things we had no certain knowledge about were clearly explained. All the email communication was great. To every email, no matter what subject, we got a quick reply. We had regular meetings once a week, when we could, to first discuss all our doubts and we got answers to all our questions.

We hired ImpiCode team to make an incomplete website built with React mobile responsive and for partial code refactoring. The goal was launching a website meeting design and performance requirements.

We searched online and chose this vendor based on their past projects and cost estimate.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss goals and objectives, which included Mobile Responsiveness and implementing a better structure with React-Redux for how states were managed across pages, particularly with respect to checkout and multi step forms. Afterwards we scheduled weekly meetings to review the work and provide feedback.

A project manager was our main point of contact throughout the process and one frontend developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The website performance improved and the client loved the mobile responsiveness.

We had weekly meetings with their project managers and developer, who worked well with our team. We used Slack, Jira and GitHub.

They didn't count the hours, but only cared about delivering a professional site. They proved to be reliable, on time, and committed to the scope of work. We highly appreciated their honesty in providing estimates and reporting their activities.

Not really, as any issue that we reported was immediately fixed.

I am the IT director at Sodexo Benefits and Rewards Services. My company provides incentive and loyalty programs.

For what projects/services did your company hire ImpiCode?

We hired ImpiCode to provide support for the loyalty platforms for UK and BE during the last operational months and closing down of the platforms.

What were your goals for this project?

The main goal for the project was to support our platforms during their shutdown. We were looking for a software development company which would ensure proper operation of the systems until the closing of the platforms.

SOLUTION

How did you select ImpiCode?

We knew that the SayReward PL platform is constantly being developed in Poland and there are many experienced specialists working on similar systems. That is why we decided to outsource developers from Poland. We were looking for a software development company with a dev team experienced both in PHP and AWS technology. We learned from ImpiCode’s website that the company has specialists with experience in these technologies. We were assured by ImpiCode that they would assign to our project developers who previously worked on similar systems and could communicate well in English. That is why we decided to work together with ImpiCode.

Describe the project in detail.

The ImpiCode dev team provided technical support during the systems shutdown. Those systems were developed using a legacy PHP framework Zend1/2 and MySQL 5.5. The team exported many diverse reports from our systems’ databases. ImpiCode performed repair and maintenance work, e.g. they had to unlock report queues, as well as run SQL scripts which collectively applied fixes. Additionally, the developers helped us to solve various problems with the system and investigated why some user points didn’t go through. They also investigated problems with integration with external services and supported us in proceeding with DSARs (Data Subject Access Request) related to GDPR. Finally, the ImpiCode dev team supported the process of shutting down the system and deactivating users.

The ImpiCode dev team consisted of one lead developer and one regular developer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We received technical support throughout the entire period of cooperation.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We used Jira to organise our work. We also assigned tasks to developers on a daily basis. The ImpiCode dev team performed all tasks very efficiently and quickly answered all our questions. If we had any doubts, we talked via Microsoft Teams or communicated via chat in Jira. What’s more, the ImpiCode dev team had short daily meetings with our branch in Poland during which they presented their progress. We think our workflow was very effective.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We are impressed by the efficiency of the ImpiCode dev team. All tasks were performed diligently with attention to detail.

ImpiCode provided us with outsourced programming services. We needed support in our client's internal project of a dedicated system for meal-delivery services.

What drew my attention to ImpiCode was their completed projects and positive references on Clutch. In addition, I’ve noticed that ImpiCode has experience in technologies we use in our dedicated system. During the first phone call, ImpiCode made a very good impression on me. ImpiCode specialists have created a CRM module for customer complaint management in our dedicated system as well as a module to help manage products in the warehouse. As a result of this improvement, warehouse managers know which ingredients they have in stock. Additionally, ImpiCode developers fixed bugs in other modules such as the supplier panel. The ImpiCode team implemented new functionality - customer data anonymisation. Finally, they helped us to analyse and design future expansion of Facebook integration.

I’m provide all internet activity in our company. Core of our business is French Touch concept, which one is organised with cooperation with French Embassy in Poland. French Touch is celebrated polish-french friendship and French lifestyle in Poland.

For what projects/services did your company hire ImpiCode?

We employed ImpiCode to solve problems with our mobile application dedicated for the French Touch event. They are support us also in technical corrections on the website https://www.frenchtouchlabellevie.pl/ and help in updating the content.

What were your goals for this project?

The main goal of the project was to provide all French Touch participants with a mobile application working seamlessly on both Android and iOS. The application should include an option to buy event tickets and provide users with access not only to all current information about the event but also the promotional offers of our partners.

Application content should be managed via a backend admin panel hosted on AWS. We already had an application from another supplier, but it didn’t meet our expectations and we weren’t satisfied with it.

SOLUTION

How did you select ImpiCode?

We paid special attention to ImpiCode because of their completed projects, technology stack and positive client feedback and testimonials. We quickly received a reply to our inquiry and the first meeting turned out to be very successful.

ImpiCode responded with enthusiasm and commitment to the idea of supporting French Touch with mobile development. After analyzing other offers, we came to the conclusion that ImpiCode is the best fit for our project and we have established a cooperation with them.

We needed a mobile application working both on Android and iOS. Our previous application provider created a PWA application which was rejected by the App Store. We had the source code of the first application but the ImpiCode team decided to create a new app from scratch using different technology than the previous provider.

New app was developed with React Native, giving us working versions for both platforms at once, which were later successfully published to App Store and Google Play. While working on the application, ImpiCode drew our attention to some problems with the web application hosted on AWS. As a result, ImpiCode also has taken over its support.

Team members were React Native developer, AWS specialist, iOS developer responsible for iOS-specific functionalities and a Project Manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are very pleased with our new mobile application. Both versions of the application have passed store verification procedures successfully and were published to App Store and Google Play giving all French Touch participants access to our free application and so access to additional advantages.

We want to emphasise that ImpiCode has also made some improvements on our website.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

ImpiCode performed all tasks on a schedule and the project was completed on time. Our team still has regular contact with the ImpiCode team. We are receiving answers to our questions very quickly and all the urgent requests are resolved almost immediately.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

ImpiCode understood our needs and offered us the most effective solution. We are impressed with the very good communication with the company. It’s worth emphasising that they have really been involved in our project. We are 100% satisfied with work done by ImpiCode and decided to negotiate further cooperation.

I'm the co-founder and CEO of the eMKa Project company. We provide software and hardware design and development services for electronic devices and embedded systems.

For what projects/services did your company hire ImpiCode, and what were your goals?

We needed web developers to support our team in a project. The project was a web application for the telemedicine (remote diagnosis based on various medical imaging data). The goal of the project was to create a modern web application to replace the old desktop system written in Java.

SOLUTION

How did you select ImpiCode and what were the deciding factors?

We have found them through their web site. After the first meeting we knew that they are competent understand our needs.

The project is a web application in Angular. It uses OAuth and OData to communicate with an external system. ImpiCode has provided a team of web developers who worked in Angular.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Most of the time the team was composed of three developers, one senior developer and one manager. Some developers were replaced by the others during the project, but the manager was still the same and the transmission of the project knowledge was effective.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The ImpiCode team was a great support in the project. They provided the skills and knowledge which effectively complemented our internal team.

We had regular meetings once a week plus additional meetings/calls when needed. The project manager of the ImpiCode became an essential member of the project team, creatively solving the problems and providing expertise at an excellent level. He was also involved in meetings with the ultimate client of the project.

Their ability to overcome all kinds of obstacles impressed us. In short, we had a good partner and an ally. They were a great help not only in at the technical and the project management level but also supported us during the meeting with the recipient of the project.

We started working together in August 2018. They’ve since started a new project for our company because we’ve been very satisfied with their knowledge.

They helped a lot. Before they came on board, the execution of the task took more than one day; now, it takes 30 minutes.

I’m a researcher at the Institute of Literary Research in the Polish Academy of Sciences. I work in the Department of Contemporary Literature Documentation. I am also the author and co-author of a few lexicons and bibliographies that were published by the institute.

We needed to develop and build a virtual backend database for our descriptive bibliographies and compendiums in a single digital format.

 They created an entire customized database on our behalf.

 We were recommended to them by one of our colleagues from the University of Warsaw’s IT department.

 My company spent about 120,000 Polish złoty (approximately $29,000 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

It is completed.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They made things much easier for us by creating a tool for the whole department to utilize. The tool allows us to gather materials and data in one place instead of searching multiple systems with keywords, which was very time-consuming.

How did ImpiCode perform from a project management standpoint?

They stayed within the original budget. The project was not completed in the original timeframe because the scope changed as the project progressed; we, the clients, realized that there was more we needed done than we originally anticipated. Our project manager was extremely patient with all of our questions and changes. She spoke with us in layman’s terms instead of technical jargon, which we, coming from a humanities background, deeply appreciated. In all, we were very satisfied with the project manager and how the project was managed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Asia (Project Manager) was exceptional, patient, and professional. Even when we repeatedly asked the same questions, she was calm and patient. She was flexible when we wanted to make changes — or reverse changes we had previously requested — and it was evident that she was knowledgeable and competent. We completely trusted her to manage the project well.

As a team, they communicated well with us, and they were clear when communicating a change or suggestion. One advantage of working with them is that they are a smaller company instead of a large corporation, so we had the opportunity to communicate directly with management and executives. Moreover, one of the executives even oversaw our project and gave valuable input and suggestions we hadn’t thought of.

Another thing that impressed us was that they, as a company, were available for our calls and questions at any time. We never had to wait for a call-back or for a change to be made because they were always at the ready to make an adjustment.

Are there any areas they could improve?

At this time, I don’t have any suggestions or complaints.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Even if you have very unique specifications, needs, and an idea for how long you think the project should take, you should always add a few months onto your timeline expectations. If you think that it will take one year to complete the project, expect it to take 16 months, as you don’t know what ideas you, as the customer, might think of in the middle of the project or what changes you would like to make. It’s better to give yourself that extra room for improvement and changes.

We didn’t realize how much we could do with the system and, once we realized all of the possibilities, our project didn’t look the same as it did at the beginning. In the end, it was much better and the extra time was worth it, but we should have anticipated the possibility of a longer timeframe in advance.
